  Hey Peter,

  If you use the player, then you can do the same thing in preferences as I mentioned above.

  Or, if you have Acrobat, then you can hide the tool by key pane by pressing (SHIFT + F4), enable option 'Restore last view settings... ' under ' Edit > Preferences > Documents.

  Close Acrobat and then relaunch it.

  It seems that the left margin is medium to large, but I HAV already watched it and this isn't the problem and ive tried zooming in and out aswell and reset the zoom ect

  It is possible that the screen is too wide or too high and bars scrolling down.
  
  Open the system menu via Alt + space and see if you can resize the window.
  
  If it works then close Firefox (file > exit/Quit) to save the setting.

  Probabably you must update your video card driver from the card manufacturers (not through windows update) site.

  For portable computers, you will need to obtain the driver from the manufacturer of the laptop.

  As a temporary measure, you can try to disable CPU graph use under Edit > Preferences > Performance then restart photoshop, but you

  would still need to update the video card driver if you want to use the open gl features in photoshop, including the 3d stuff.

  If you can open the Task Manager try to manually open the desktop computer

  In the list of running tasks, type "explorer" (without the quotes) and run it.

  Which starts the desktop computer?

  If not boot in safe mode and try to load a restore point from before you had the problem.

  I have solved my problem by trying everything that moves. Here are my steps:
  -Open Virtual PC and minimize it
  -In the Windows 7 machine, click Start click all programs
  -Select Windows Virtual PC
  -Select Windows Virtual PC (in the drop-down list)
  -When the window opens, right-click on Windows XP Mode
  -Select share >
  -Select the homegroup (read/write)

  -Minimized open Virtual PC
  -Select my computer
  Windows 7 disks will be under other

  I hope this works for you also. As I said, it worked like this until I had a huge list of automatic updates of Windows 7 and XP more some updates. Apparently, one of them cut something.

  I think that you have diagnosed the problem yourself. It's the backlight or the inverter failed. You can check if the cables are loose and you will need to make to a repair shop to get the extract. The only practical way to check is to Exchange in well known components until the problem is located.
