  Unless an extension (to my insue) provides this functionality, there is no context for that Menu item. Press the keys Home and end the keyboard for up to the top and down.

  You can't drag an entire toolbar to the bottom of the window. The Bar of the Addon is a "toolbar", drag whatever you want from the Palette to customize or a toolbar up to the bar of the Addon.

  Thunderbird automatically upgraded to 38.0.1, with some initial problems with incompatible lightning, as said elsewhere, but they were resolved automatically.   You have a menu bar, showing with file-Edit-View etc?
  If this is not the case, press the alt key to bring up.

  In the menu bar, select Tools-Options-general

  The first option on this page is to show the Start Page. Clear the checkbox in this option.

  To get the right diagnosis, you must connect the external monitor to the laptop.

  I think you'll find an anti virus program is initially in the case. They are often a little nuts when Exchange version number of Thunderbirds.

  Try changing the settings to turn off email scanning in your anti virus.

  I have 2 screens at 1920 x 1200 pixels and one in the middle with 2560 x 1600.  When I move the cursor from one screen to the other, the cursor jumps (of course), but in this case, the vertices of the monitors are (it moves from the top of a monitor to the top of the other) and I would like the background to match (to the top of the Middle monitor space with no corresponding areas on the other two).

  As the two side monitors are physically smaller and shorter that the Middle it's jarring to see the cursor jumps 3 inches upward when I switch from one to the other.

  Is it possible to adjust the display settings so that they justify bottom instead of the top?

  To be clear: I want to be able to move my cursor along the bottom one down the next and having the high bit to space rather than being able to move the cursor along the top with the bottom being the extra space.
