I should be enjoying my XOOM!

Has anyone developed calluses on their index fingers? :-))))

Get a good. Bought those cheap on ebay that suck. Bought a targus at wal-mart for $12, works really well. The tip is hard on of the elcheapo.

  • Story about the Motorola Xoom

Story should run on the Xoom? If so it will not be for me. I downloaded Air very well since the Android Market, but it takes several will install. Even when it does not install when I try to install the desktop within the history on the web app it tells me I have no Air then try to install it - and fails. I don't see a way to get the history file that apparently useless Air download that won't work no. So history does not work on the Xoom for me, which is a shame. It must be very nice.

. AIR files can not be installed directly on the Android tablet or by phone. Application must be re-packed. However, we have still a few outstanding issues to be resolved before the application starts to be useful on the Xoom or any other android tablet.

  • Best Buy Xoom

OK, so I let drop $50 on the pre-order for the Xoom at best buy about 15 minutes ago. It turns out that the only version they sell is now the Xoom with 3G.

I asked when the wifi version would only be available and the response was 'I don't know '.

I considered going back to Best Buy and cancel my order, I really want to speed HSPA for download and it's only available on AT & T and T-Mobile. As the Xoom sporting both a miniUSB and a regular USB, external USB antenna from T-Mobile would work for me.

It turns out that T-Mobile has also updated from their USB HSPA modems in March of their 21 Mbps to Mbps HSPA 42 version.

After much calculation, I should always slide another $200 to them for the modem.

Take the path of least resistance, I'll keep this version Xoom for the moment, Verizon to give a chance to settle their broadband services to manage bandwidth iphone/ipad/xoom and see how it plays out.

I enjoy net surfing and watching TWiT TV to work and if the combo 3G Xoom/Verizon can't do it, I know I can sell it without taking too much of a bath.

USB on Android supports more data transfer, even if he has not supported an external USB modem. About keyboards and mice at this point.

male46, after the release there will be an update for Verizon's 4 G LTE on the XOOM, as stated by Sanjay himself...

    http://briefmobile.com/Sanjay-JHA-4G-justifies-high-Xoom-price

HSPA +, while that touted by ATT and TMO that 4G is not really 4G. It is faster than the 3G? Yes, but it does not compare to LTE or even WiMax for that matter. Most of the reports for HSPA + said he usually gets about 50% of the promised speed. Crouse, who probably could be said about the data without wire so IDK, I have not tried LTE yet. I used a camera, HSPA + and it was meh.

  • Taking my Xoom at the pool

    Hello comrades Xoom owners.

Doc here with the latest news from my lab. My kids love the pool now that it is open, but how can I take advantage of the afternoon without my Xoom? Taking along seems quite risky, because a good by a stocky teenager unsuspecting Cannonball could fry my electronic Sidekick. So I was very happy when I found this awesome watertight flashlight which allows me to enjoy my experience with Xoom poolside without a worry about the pool next Tsunami. As a bonus, I can now bring my Xoom along on my boat and watch the jet of the dance of the waves through the new case to my Xoom. I tested the touch screen through the sticky vinyl cover soft and I can honestly say there is no difference at ALL (really surprised me). I wanted to check how the hermetic enclosure could affect heat, so I ran my Xoom for two hours tonight in the Pocket without any problem of heat whatsoever. Of course, you can not connect cables (who would?), but BT, WiFi and 3G everything work perfectly (no change of signal). And both of my stylus pens work perfectly as well. It also comes with a strap to wear it around the neck, but I'm not much of a geek!

Here's the shelter waterproof daring all near the water source:

Angle of view of the envelope:

Notice the locks DOUBLE zip (they are heavy as well) that fold under the lid snap and velcro:

The waterproof bag comes with its own cloth zippered soft case, so you can keep it to get scratched when it is not in use. I forgot at the origin of this practical advantage, but I think it's an add-on to the manufacturer.

If you don't want to leave your precious home Xoom while sunbathe you by the pool (and read Kindle books like me that plays games for children), then check this for a simple $23,49 on Amazon:

  • What should I do when iTunes post TV episodes in the wrong order

I know it seems like an easy task. But what I do when iTunes TV post TV episodes in the wrong order.  I know that this seems to be a first world problem of the same (and it is) but showing bad episodes out of order is so infuriating.  And I paid $ first world over it.  Apple iTunes Australia displayed the 6 episodes of the ITV television series "Lewis" - twice MORE than two episodes 5 and 6.  I know now who is the murderer - I don't know who was murdered. I paid for the series. And I paid for it in the right order.  And... I saved these episodes so that I could enjoy together.  Now my night was ruined.  And you are right - no one died (except in the series, of course), but I don't want to let this pass.  The issue of small things. My annoyance issues!. He does.  And I paid for a product that I did not.  I called Apple support, not because personally, I want to get repair, but because no one should have to have the same experience that I had, and it should fix it, quickly, not in another 24 or 48 hours when someone (for the content provider fix it because according to apple, it's their fault) gets finally around him. When is watching a murder mystery - when the murder is solved before the murder.  VERY ANNOYING. I'm certainly not alone?

You can try to contact iTunes Support via https://ssl.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html

    Or leave comments via http://www.apple.com/feedback/

Or contact the TV company/holder of rights

  • What percentage should you start/stop plug your macbook pro?

I'm about to get a MBPr (early 2015 version) and I really want to have a long service life. I'll use it for about 5 years, until the College, which is quite long and probably a lot of users have it broken at that time here.

    • is there a certain percentage where I should start and stop it plug to a battery in good health? (e.g. use it until you go down to 40% then load 100% completely and repeat)
    • or is it also ok for him have charged 24/7 (as in almost never off the record) to maintain cycles down? I saw so many people say yes, but many also say it will ruin the battery.
-a similar question, if I load 100%, I have to unplug it already or can I keep connected? and if I don't respect plugged, when the best time to unplug?

I actually read a lot (as in a batch.) items already on the time to load, but then it's so many conflicting and contradictory responses and I don't know what it takes to follow (I'm also sure that some answers here will be contradictory between them as well, but I guess it's just inevitable). I'm sure from what I've read, just that lithium-ion batteries hate deep discharge, so I won't. Other than that, I'm still pretty confused on what's left to follow.

Sorry if I seem like I'm overthinking it too, but nothing comes cheap nowadays and I really want this to last. any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    He man,.

-There is no percentage which is thought to be the percentage of start to use the charger. But often the people on this forum say they charge their macbook when they want, making sure to unload the macbook less than 20% just about once a month.

-You can leave it loaded 24/7 If you want to. but I would recommend for battery less than 20% once a month or more. You can leave it connected after that the battery is fully charged.

also accept that your battery will lose deep performance over time and as long as you don't release it your battery will be great for years to come and enjoy.

    Cheers!

  • Should I move to El Capitan of Mavericks

Currently have a mid-2009 MacBook Pro Mavericks to market with a 1 TB hard drive and a 2.26 gHZ processor. Just upgraded from 4 to 8 RAM with original thoughts to move towards El Capitan. I use Aperture 3.5.1, but understand that I would need to go to 3.6 so I went to El Capitan. Did some research and see how it is possible, if I move the current version of opening up a separate drive, install El Capitan and then switch to 3.6.

All that being said, I wonder if I shouldn't even bother? I read on a few small problems, opening running on El Capitan. I know that I was able to partition my drive so that I can continue to work opening on Mavericks and El Capitan execution for all the rest, but that would be a pain to switch back and comes just to use other programs. I'm not so maybe that's not as much hassle I think it would be the guy most in computer science. Is it worth it to switch to El Capitan, or should I just stick with what I have now and enjoy the new my rugged up RAM speed?

Only if you need since it is not a requirement. Never upgrade until you are sure that all of your critical software mission runs or can be upgraded to run on the new version of the OS.

Eventually, however, you will need to upgrade to El Capitan. Unless you have a USB bootable installer of the Mavericks by car or kept the Mavericks Installer, you will not be able to reinstall it.

  • Should which driver I use for Windows XP on Portege R500 by WLan

Because I couldn't get the wireless Lan driver, Intel, 11.1.0.100 references driver Toshiba download site (I'm redirected to a link that does not work), I went on the site: http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/. Information about the two sites, all two of Toshiba, are contradictory:

A site lists 11.1.0.100 references as driver for Windows XP, the other site of the 11.1.0.100 references as the driver for Vista 64 and the 11.1.1.16 as driver for Windows XP. Which should I use for Windows XP on Portege R500?

Sorry my friend but after reading your question, I can just laugh. Use simply listed http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads driver, install it and enjoy your life.

Motorola to cut 20% of staff

The giant INTERNET Google said that it plans to lay off about 4,000 employees at Motorola.
the mobile phone manufacturer, that she bought in may, to return to society
    profitability.

"While we expect this strategy to create new opportunities for help and.

These changes will be for the employees concerned,"a spokesman for the company said

According to the New York Times, the remediation plan

Like, I might immediately suggest some management who should get the movie.

He has been on the cards for some time that in view of the terrible service motofail provides to customers, something had to give, so it's all down hill from here, I would say.

I wonder if they will realize that great service customers is the key to profitability and not sell a new product for fun and not support the made promsies or bring a new model within 6 months next we suckers poor purchase at inflated prices. Oh I mentioned is not dumping in some markets. Hmm should certainly take care of your customers, because they will not return

  • Card 3g SIM - UK Version of the Motorola Xoom

    Hi all

My friend about to buy a motorola xoom 3 g + wifi for me in the United Kingdom. In my country, we cannot use 3g SIM-free service. Someone tried to use 3g with SIM card service?

The caveat on the plastic insert was only for the CDMA Verizon version to the United States. Can't say why it is also in the European version. They should have just put in an empty placeholder.

Background information: Verizon's CDMA network does not require the use of a SIM card. When upgrading future 4 g arrives, change XOOMs US material and the 4G network will require using a sim card, so caution.

    udornbound wrote:

on mine there is a warning on the insertion of sd card speaks of the slot is not active until the next update

osteonecrosis of the jaw insert plastic for the sim card, it says something as not to put a sim card in until the 4g sim card upgrade which sorta implies that the xoom is compatible 3 g!

but as I said I've been a bit stupid and just stuck the sim card in without reading the warning and mine seems to work ok

    hope that helps

  • Low storage problems - Xoom

Someone at - he found a solution to the question of the conditions of STORAGE LOW, that mysteriously appear for a short period of use of your Xoom. I searched on the Internet regarding this issue and it seems that most of the owners are simply hard to reset their device to resolve the problem which, in my view, should not be the case because of the fact that the problem is simply one more time. As for me Ive tried many techniques to recover from storage space to use ES Explorer to remove the temporary files not clearing on cache files but I'm near the 2 GB free space, I had days back my current space is 5 MB!...

IM also at the hearing that Motorola is aware of the problem and that it should have a solution to the issue but that the statement was made 4 months of someone in another forum.

A new update has begun to push today for all Xooms to 4 G/LTE. The HLK75F update is NOT related to ICS, so don't start not lead your Champagne bottles again! This update is an upgrade from Verizon HC to support talk 4G maintenance. I got this update at 16: 30 et today, then you may want to start checking your Xoom awaiting daily updates starting tonight.

    Here's the announcement from Verizon:

A link to a recent article on this update:

Please post in this thread if you encounter problems with this upgrade.

    -Doc

    @spetrillo,

If the update failed, your Xoom should recognize the update on hold when you check and then try upgrading again. You were on a questionable WiFi first where the signal may have been discontinued? It is the most common reason that updates fail.
