I use Firefox 16.0.2 and Flash 11.5 502 plugin keeps crashing. I switch to Chrome or IE and have no problem. If I uninstall Flash plugin Firefox works fine - any suggestions as to what I can do? It happened for about two weeks and I keep waiting for an update of Firefox, assuming you know the problem. I run AVG Free anti-malware, firewall, Zone Alarm and Trusteer report.

I use firefox 3.6.16 and I want to upgrade to firefox 4, but not be adjusted for firefox 4. Is there a way to do this?
Not until Mozilla gets started the 3.6.x to 4.0 notification 'upgrade', which will probably not happen for another 2 to 4 weeks based on how they handled this type of 'upgrade' in the past.

Whenever I click on the more tab in the firefox browser, Isearch.claro page opens. I want to get rid of my computer completely claro. Please tell me?
Hi jirothankyou, that sounds like an add-on, installed itself without your consent. You can try to remove the Add-ons that might be problematic since the Add-ons Manager. The process is explained here. If this does not work, or that you have never installed add-ons, or you want to have a quick fix: just to reset Firefox. This will remove all the Add-ons and put Firefox by default, but it will keep your history, bookmarks, passwords etc. Here is a description of how to do it: Refresh Firefox – reset settings and Add-ons.
Let me know please if this helped.

Using Firefox version 29,0 and want tabs below the toolbars. Any ideas?
I am one of those users who prefer the tabs below the toolbars. In the version 29,0 it seems not be any solution to get them there. I searched all menu bars and passed the road to the evolution of the browser.tabs.tabsontop to false. Nothing has worked so far and I wouldn't want to load an earlier version of Firefox just for tabs. Someone else uses the version 29,0 and resolved this dilemma successfully?
Thanks for any help or advice... ahava1313

First of all, I would like to state that I have hardly any technical knowledge. So forgive me if this seems like a silly question to professionals. Here are the details about this problem according to the best of my limited knowledge:
I am currently using Mozilla Firefox 3.6.18; previously, 3.6.13. It was upgrade 3.6.9 3.6.13 after I click on Check for Updates... and he told me that this would be done when I reboot my system. When I restarted my PC, I was surprised to find that it has been downloaded version 3.6.18. I didn't know how she had progressed in the process, so I let him finish. After that, I disabled the option that allows it to download and upgrade to date on its own and turned it off. Next time when I started, it was 3.6.18, but has not been updated on its own.
Now, I want to upgrade directly to version 5.0.1. But when I leave the option "download and install the update automatically" under Tools > Options > advanced > update, it downloads and updates the versions according to their order of liberation. So if I let it, then when I start it up the next time, he'll start download version 3.6.18 and update to it rather than to directly update 5.0.1. It will continue to do so until it reaches it. For reasons of my own, I don't like that. So I unchecked the option "Download and install the update automatically" and chose the "ask me what I want to do" option (so that it is not repeating the "download and update" process on its own whenever I start my PC). Then I went to the site of Firefox and the thought of downloading and updating to the latest version of my own. But then I was informed that if I do, I have the latest version, but I'll lose all my favorites registered unless I followed a procedure hectic in order to save and load them again after you have installed the latest version of Firefox. I won't let that happen either. So someone can get out of this situation suggests without losing my favorites?
Almost forgot. I tried several times by going to help > Check For Updates..., but each time he returned to the same result: "there is no update. Firefox periodically checks the updates. "How is it no update is available, while the version I use is 3.6.18 and the latest version is 5.0.1? In short, Check for Updates... has not helped either. (Even though I have updated the last time, shouldn't it have updated to version 3.6.13 to 5.0.1 directly?)
So, can anyone suggest a way in which I don't lose my favorites and would be able to upgrade to the latest version directly too? A response that would not involve the removal of the current version and install the most recent, but to update directly to it (it is fine if it needs to download) would be more welcome. I know that bookmarks can be saved in a file and everything, but I would like to know if it is possible, as has happened for my current version of the previous version. (He downloaded and updated itself on its own, disturb nothing, not even myself connected on some accounts where I stay connected.) The only problem there is that he wasn't directly updated to the latest version.)
I hope that the above details of sense and are pretty useful for others to help me. Thank you.
No need to transfer bookmarks and settings to the new version as a new version of Firefox will use the last profile you used unless you check otherwise. You can always save your profile in the case.
The Firefox 5.0 would be the same.

I'm unable to open all the links on yahoo (yahoo example) of my browser firefox in normal format sports stories. When I click on a link to yahoo using firefox it switches to yahoo mobile and if this story is not available on mobile I can't read. I like to use Firefox, but I'm to so annoyed not being able to use yahoo properly I have to stop using it. I have a feeling that it might be an add on because it can't get on my desktop computer at home, but I am usually on my laptop, and want to be able to use yahoo with firefox.
Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
See "create a profile":
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

"Behind the Overlay" icon appear correctly at first, but as the browser updates automatically, this extension is not compatible with the latest version of Firefox? A test, I uninstalled this last version of Firefox and installed the version 31.0.0. It made no difference. The icon was still missing. So far I have not found any information about this anomaly online. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Thank you very much for your suggestions. Unfortunately they do not solve my problem. I had "Always use Private Browsing Mode" enabled in the Settings Options/life private/history of the browser. This caused the "Behind the Overlay" icon to disappear. I disabled this setting. Now I'm using the default navigation mode and the icon is now visible.

In a previous installation, I got the share name of "DData." I did a reinstall & sharing name appeared when I tried to use a different name. I tried to remove it through "Computer records management/Shared/actions." I'm assuming that the share name is imported from an old file NTUSER.dat. I don't really know where the actions are stored. I searched the registry for it, nothing helps. How can I get rid of this useless part?
Share names are kept in the system hive, not in the user hive. You can remove them as follows:
1 log in under an administrator account.2. click on the start planet.3. type the three letters cmd in the search box.4. press on Ctrl + Shift + Enter5. click on "run as Administrator".6. type the following commands and press ENTER after each:net share
(to see a list of all actions)
NET share "DData" / delete(to remove this part) -
