I use Firefox 4.01 and there is no FIREFOX button in the upper right corner of the browser. This is supposed to be a novelty, but it isn't there?
I've just updated to firefox 4.01. In the new features page, it shows a FIREFOX button and a new look to the page with more new features... However, my browser updated resembles the old with no new features. I've updated two computers with the same results. Why have I not new features?

The use of Windows 7 and LR 5, when I look at the list of keywords a keyword has 7 photos but when I check the library with this 350 photos filter keywords appear which includes 7 photos that have the keyword. Why the library filter, showing images that do not match the query
John,
Thank you very much for the work you've put into this. I made the change you suggested making the subkeywords under 'schwartz' to be {name schwartz}. I don't know who has contributed something, but I think that there are more immediate problem which is mucked up. As well as the fact that I have several catalogs that I don't know how they were created, I think that the best thing would be to merge all the catalogs into one (it is better to have a single catalog, right?) and delete all the keywords from scratch.
Thanks for your help. I'll mark this as resolved issue.

There is no bar to address, no error message or anything but the three icons in the upper right corner. The whole page is just a giant translucent square with three icons.
Hello MilaRowantree, can you try to start firefox in safe mode by pressing the SHIFT key during startup of this and see if the problem occurs there too? Maybe a theme or hardware acceleration intrudes here...
If safe mode does not work, you can try to disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general and or disable addons that could cause the problem. It would also be interesting what graphics hardware (description of the adapter, driver date and version of the driver) you use - you can access this information in firefox > help > correct information to the bottom of this page... Thank you

There is a little tab on the upper left corner of my browser window that says Firefox. I used to be able to hit that and have quick access to history, print etc. rather than working from the menu on the left three lines. How can I get that back?
Thank youIt has been replaced by the 3 lines on the side button. You can either use that (it's actually faster to access your frequently used objects) or customize Firefox How to make the new look of Firefox as the old Firefox

I had a problem with some malware/adware software at the moment where I removed it, it had amended much of Firefox.
I managed to fix everything except the thumbnails of the sites frequently used on a new tab. I know that there should be a 3 x 3 grid in the upper right corner, but it does not show. How can I get this back, please?
You can reset the browser.newtab.url through the context menu on the default (subject: newtab) to get the new page of tabs with thumbnails.
See this article on the page tab (topic: newtab):
If you do not keep the changes after a reboot or have problems with preferences, see:

I changed my computer from XP to Windows 7 and migrated my FF browsers. But... now the tabs at the top of the page are all right (they were upper-front left - where I loved her)
The most important is the "open a new tab" + - is on the right. But that is not sensible. Why you put "Open a new tab" on the extreme right of the browser, when you close a tab on the left and you type a new URL in the browser on the left?
How can I put my "open a new tab" immediately to the right of 'Close tab' - as if it was before?
Please advise?
Try clicking on "Restore default settings" in the palette to customize to reset the toolbar customization.
- Firefox '3-bar' menu button > customize
- View > toolbars > customize

I do not have the Firefox button at the top of my screen.
I do not have the Firefox button at the top of my screen, so cannot use any of the functions it controls. I don't have the round symbol of Firefox, but when I right click or click on it, I get only the menu for mazimizing, minimizing or closing the application. I can't find all the information on the site of Mozuilla on how to solve this problem and would welcome any advice I can get. My operating system is Windows 7 Professional. Thank you.
You probably have your active Menu bar. I think you can use one or the other. To activate your favicon Orange Firefox, right-click on the empty upper part of the browser (next to your tabs) and uncheck the menu bar. I hope this helps.

I have no "Firefox" button at the top of my screen. ???
Since I downloaded the new Firefox, I was frustrated. Now I find that I can not find my favorites is because they are "hidden". Unfortunately, to solve this problem, I have to start by clicking on the "Firefox" button at the top of the page. From what I can tell, it's an orange button which should be placed in the upper left corner of the screen. I don't have one.
I have re-uploaded the program - nothing; and I am running Windows 7.
Help, please.
If you have customized your toolbars in an earlier version, the installer may have left you with the classic menu rather than the new abbreviated menus bar.
To move, use the view menu > toolbars > Menu bar
Once you have the orange Firefox button, you can press the ALT key, or press F10 to display the classic menu bar temporarily.

How to restore the Firefox button to the top of the page?
In the instructions it says to click on the Firefox button at the top of the page. I did not and I'm interested to restore. How would I do that?
You see the button Firefox orange (gray Linux) if the menu bar is hidden (view > toolbars > customize or right click on a toolbar).
You can hide or make the bar of menus visible through view > toolbars or via Firefox > Options.
If you need access to the hidden menu bar press F10 or press the Alt key to display the menu temporarily bar. -
After that I upgraded to 4.0, I expected to see the new Firefox button on the top of the browser; He's not just here and I can't understand why.
To get the new user interface, you must hide the menu bar. Do, in the view menu, select Toolbars, then click on the entrance to the "Menu bar".
If you need to access the menus, you can press Alt or F10 to display temporarily.

After the upgrade to Firefox version 29, the browser crashes every 30-45 seconds, about 15 seconds. [Windows Vista]
Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.
