Whenever I have download the Yahoo toolbar, Foxfire blocks it ~ ~ ~ and it won't allow me to unlock.   I "solved" the problem, or at least found a work around.  The program must be open as administrator.  Right click and open as administrator.

  Is there a conflict with something else? Is there something else I can do?

  Could be a permissions problem. Try to create a new admin-level Mac user account and see if that helps.
