I've updated my PC, all files, lost when he said that I would not.

I use windows 8, my computer is very slow so I decided to update it with the function of factory reset, I had already done this successfully once before, with all my files remain intact. This time, however I can't find one of my files available previously. I'm really confused as to why this happened, he said that my files should not be affected, really frustrating. Before I did the reset, I got like 500 main GB free on my hard drive (C :), after reset, I had only 480, with all my files gone, how could be? How can I get less space on my computer if all files are GONE, does not equally absurd, quite * right now, I'd like to get some clarification on this, thanks.

With a refresh, you will not lose your files; with a reset or factory reset, you lose everything. You said you done a factory Reset that is why you lost your files. Such problems are the reasons why you should always have everything that you could not lose relief. You may be able to recover your files from the Windows.old folder. Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.
