Would someone from microsoft ring me to tell me my computer was about to crash and could help me if I talked through the issues with him, is received a call yesterday, is it a scam?

Yesterday, I received a phone call from a person claiming to be from Microsoft in my opinion.  He said there is a serious problem with my computer and I have to go through him to set it right!  I said there is nothing wrong with my computer and he said he was going to crash at anytime, I figured it was a scam so told her to get lost!  I was correct?

Hi EvieBaker,

Yes, it's a scam. Microsoft will never call someone and say that their computer or their account is broken.
Thank you!
