I want Firefox to open in a larger window

This was happening for years. About 2 months ago Firefox started opening with a 'restored' (i.e. not maximized) window. He took the best opening for a few days in the last two weeks. Now, he opens with a 'restored' window that is wider and shorter than the size used previously.

The localstore.rdf file is dated May 9, 2014.

Note that the current releases of Firefox did not use localstore.rdf for some time and that only xulstore.json is used to store data on the windows.

The size of the window is no longer stored (sizemode: normal ;) and it is therefore impossible in the current versions of forcing a maximized window or mode full-screen at startup.)

  • I want Firefox to open my iGoogle page every time I open Firefox. How do I do that?

Firefox allows to open with my iGoogle homepage, when I opened it upward. I created my homepage, and that's what I want, when I open it. Suddenly, he started opening with the last page, I was in a previous session. When I noticed it, I made sure to close all pages that has been opened until I signed up on Firefox. Yet, it will open with the last page of the previous session.

All I want is for Firefox open my page iGoogle as my home page, every time when I go online with Firefox. How do I do that? I think I checked any box that I didn't intend, but I can't find what it is. Is that what I'm doing through Google? If so, sorry, but it's boring and waste a lot of my time to find how to make my life "easier.".

    Follow these steps.

    • Go to the site you want to set as your home page.
    • Click on the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | General.
    • Make sure that it says in the first drop 'show my home page'.
    • Click on the button called "use current Pages' to set the home page to the one you have on the screen.

  • After you have reinstalled Th 38 (due to a problem of XPCOM), it now opens, but the large windows is stuck to one that opens with the name of the account.

I think that Th 38 was the reason why my computer did not open at the total. Once that has been fixed, Thunderbird does not open more (error: XPCOM). After you have reinstalled Th 38 now I can open it and it looks good with the left pane, but the large window on the right is glued to that shows when you click on the name of the account (top folder in the left pane). None of the folders work, and none of the tabs on top of the page or the other. The only things that work are the links in the large window. I can see and open your messages by searching in the Inbox, for example. Would be grateful for any help!

Looks like the problem is solved! I was appalled when I saw how many emails I had stored and deleted a large number of them. Then after restarting the computer, everything seems to be back to normal! Praise be to God! Too, Firefox seems to be back to normal after that I did a cleaning.

    Thanks anyway!

  • After you disable the new interface to tabs, all new documents are not open in a larger window

    Hello

Yesterday I upgrade my Adobe 11.0.10 Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 15.010.20056 player. The tabs interface was pleasant enough, but there are still some limitations with this features, such as,.

1 > no option to set no maximum. tabs in a single window,

2 > tabs cannot organize, to be moved to a new window and several selected

I want to disable the new interface to tabs via Preferences > General > open documents in the new tab in the same window (not checked), but after you turn off the new tabbed interface, all new documents open after the first document are not open in a maximized window, they always opened in a restored window.

No matter what I do, it keeps - on the opening of the second new pdf in this one, restored windows are the things that I tried to overcome this.

1 > right of the DC open Adobe Acrobat click in the task bar > Adobe Reader DC > right click > properties > run: enlarged - only the first document opened in maximized windows, documents later opened in the restored only, window that too seem to not work when I closed the last document in a restored window. Opening in the same window type is part of the windows operating system, it does all the time, "opens the entire application in the same way that they have been closed, either maximized/restored and the size of Windows too". Only the first one application window is open in this way, rest of the windows open is seems to be not supported by the operating system.

    2 > of this forum discussion https://forums.adobe.com/thread/435552?start=0 & tstart = 0 , I checked for the mentioned, registry keys

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\SDI

    the default value is - "bNullDocMaximized" = DWORD: 00000001 , "bMaximizeNextDocument" = DWORD: 00000001 and "bResizeOnOpen" = DWORD: 00000000

Exchange only tried on the third button (the rest has been preset to required values) - "bResizeOnOpen" = dword: 00000001 - restart > no change > reset to its default value

    What to do now...?

    Thanks in advance

  • Compiled executable does not open in a larger window

I have attached a jpg showing the VI properties that relate to the size of the window.  Despite the fact that I indicated in Run - Time Position - Position: maximized.  The compiled executable will not open in a maximized window.

Still unknown, if I take the shortcut to the program and change its properties (on the target machine) open it is enlarged, it still does not maximized.

I had this problem with each executable compiled for a few years using the LabVIEW 8 versions, 2010, 2011 and currently 2011 SP1.  The build machine and the target machine are Windows XP.

Y at - it an explanation for this behavior?  Some way to fix this?

Unless you have a specific reason not to, you can set the properties of execution Run vi when Opened and which should maximize the window.

I continue to turn various deep analyses, including Malwarebytes, TDSS Killer and BitDefender Removal Tool TDL4 TDSS, and no malware appears. I deleted cookies, cache, etc and restarted.

I made a new shortcut on the desktop, which has contributed to a couple of times open Firefox, and then the problem came back.

I downloaded and ran Revo Uninstaller in setting advanced, then reinstalled Firefox. Has contributed a few times, then the problem came back.

I checked the help link on Firefox. None of the programs are defined to use Firefox. I deleted mimeTypes.rdf according to the instructions, then restarted Firefox. Same problem remains.

I completely deleted the history, but after one or two times open Firefox, the problem returns. I restarted my computer after the above.

  • How to configure the desktop or the taskbar icon/link to Firefox so 42 or more recent version of Firefox always opens in a 'new private window'?

I use Linux on my Acer laptop. I want to use Mozilla Firefox version 42.0 or more recent in the 'new private window Mode"always. When I click on the Firefox icon on my desktop or the taskbar, I want Firefox to open in 'New private window' always; no exception. When I click on the tab button or a link, all new pages should always open 'Private window' mode. In addition, I want to know that I am in a private window with privacy mask showing. Your help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you, Amos.

Hi Amos, assuming you want to get more protection, monitoring, there are a few options:

    • You can customize your firefox shortcut on the desktop or the taskbar to open firefox directly in private browsing mode: right-click the shortcut "mozilla firefox", go to properties, and at the end of the target line that should hold them the way to the firefox program folder add " -private"
    • You can enable protection followed not only during private browsing, but in normal windows as hollow a 'hidden' preference: enter on: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears) and search for the preference named privacy.trackingprotection.enabled. Double-click it and change its value to true.
    • You can set firefox don't remember history in the menu > options > sign confidentiality in order to always run in private browsing mode. However you will not be able to open all normal windows or record the history and passwords if you have defined this mode: confidentiality, and-not-track browsing history settings
  • How do I change the program used to open mailto links in windows 8

I would like to use Firefox to open Mailto links in Windows 8. I found this article of support, but it is not relevant for Windows 8: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-program-used-open-email-links?esab=a & as = aaq

When I open Control Panel-> default programs and try to associate the Mailto with Firefox, the only options it gives me are "Mail" (the Metro app I'm moving away) and "seek an app in the store. No Firefox. How can I get Firefox to show up in the list of applications that can be associated with Mailto? Thanks much for any help.

    john99,

OK, I am clear now. Thanks again for taking so much time to help. I am very grateful.

Hi, if you are referring to tabs, please open Options (gear) - in the 3 menu bar unless you have moved it > general tab - "Starting Firefox," make sure that it is not set to ' show my windows and tabs from last time.»

    Hope that answers your question.

  • How to stop email in mozilla firefox, opening in a new window (I want to open it in a new tab)

my email opens in a new window when I want my mail to open in a new tab in the toolbar when I press the button send. Please can you help?

Oh, Yes, the email link button. Who is supposed to send your mail site instructions to compose a new message with a link to the current page.

This button should call your bet here:

"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > tabs > "open new windows in a new tab instead.

If this is checked , then you should get a new tab. If it unchecked , then you should get a new window. At least, that is how it is supposed to work.
