I want to delete configurations and settings of the my personal machine company

I used my personal machine (BYOD) for work and personal use.  I had to load a lot of software of my company who set up my machine, change the settings in security policies and made a number of updates for network configurations.  I just changed jobs and you want to remove all the stuff that has been done to set up my device to my old company.  I want to restore the operating system to factory settings.  I have good back ups using Time Machine, but I'm afraid that my company configs and profiles are in the back ups too.  Is it possible to reload the operating system, and then select all my apps to recharge time Machine, without rear loading on the settings and configs for my business?

This can be done by erasing the disk and then installing OS X. But the procedure depends in part on what exact MBP model you have. This is information that you did not.

Until you do, make sure that your existing computer can actually support Windows 7.  If it's an old computer, it cannot.  You can get a rough idea by running the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.

If you have a computer of 'brand', go to the website of its manufacturer and check if Windows 7 drivers are available for your model.  Although Windows 7 has a large number of drivers built in, you may well need to install specific manufacturers drivers once Windows 7 installed, especially if you have a laptop.

  • Two questions. We wish to remove the Vista and download XP Pro and would not let me explore the "Document and Settings" in the C"" drive.

    Mr President

Buy a laptop the year last Dell with VISTA. It won't let me partition (including shrinkage etc.). No matter where you go that it denied access, including loading the program. Search function I'm trying to understand for a year yet, I can't find.

I want to explore the "Document and Settings", but access is denied.

Finally, I gave up on VISTA now that I bought a XP Pro... Tried to format the drive it did not show me the hard drive.

Direct booting from cd said that it found no hard drive to load. I am just desperate and sick of this VISTA. Please help to get rid of this OS.

I'll be eternally grateful to you if you can help me. The newest...

Come on first, site of the manufacturer of your computer, check to see if your model computer has XP drivers available for it...

If the XP drivers are not available for your model, forget the idea.

If Yes, download and save to a CD or Flash drive.

Save all your data because it will be lost during the installation of XP.

Then follow the steps below to do a clean install.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • CIMC - configuration and management on the side of the BONE

Is there anyway to manage the MMIC operating system (as it is with HP ILO)?

    Tim,

Actually, there is a tool (UCSCFG) that will allow you to configure certain settings BIOS and MMIC operating systems supported.

See below for more information on UCSCFG.

  • Will there be improvements made to the features of VPN configuration and firewalls in the ACC?

Future versions of CCA will have the ability to set up the VPN site-to site on UC520s, UC540s and SR520s without having to use the Multisite Manager or CLI? With non-SBCS Cisco VPN products have a Cisco's GUI to configure site-to-site VPNs. The UC520, UC540 and SR520 are the only Cisco products (with the exception of products that have reached end of life status) who do not have this capability in a sort of Cisco's GUI (apart from the Multisite Manager of CCA 2.1 and later versions).

Future versions of CCA will allow you to modify the firewall on UC520s, UC540s and SR520s rules without having to resort to the CLI?

Almost all Cisco products, except for UC520, UC540 and SR520 series products, have a Cisco's GUI to configure these features. The SA520 and SA540, these features can be configured in the web GUI. The Cisco ISR, these features can be configured through SDM or CCP. CCA has always had the ability to fix UC520 unit, but he had not the possibility to fine-tune the settings of firewall and security, unlike the web interface SA500, SDM or CCP.

Reasons why having the skills to the CCA is important:

    • These characteristics are indicated on the data of UC520, UC540 and SR520 sheets
    • The opportunity to refine and verify access control lists in the ACC can accomplish the following:
      • Ability to comply with HIPAA, Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, etc.
      • Improved troubleshooting
      • Eliminates the need to use CLI to refine or verify the firewall settings
    • VPN site to site can currently be configured via CLI or the CCA Multisite Manager
    • Multisite Manager CCA can be used for virtual private networks between UC500 or SR520s placed in front of UC500 units units
    • CCA Multisite Manager cannot be used for VPN between autonomous SR520 units, or between a unit UC500 and endpoint non-UC500 (with the exception of a placed in front of a UC500 unit SR520)
    • All images IOS Supportepar UC520 units, UC540 and SR520 routers have firewalls and VPN capabilities described here

    Hi John,.

The ACC is a configuration tool for platforms that are part of the SBCS solutions. Multisite manager is the approach we take to configure a VPN site. Enchancements in customization of the firewall and access lists is something we plan to put on the roadmap. We will continue to improve the CCA to meet these requirements. We will schedule to get these features added in the 2010 calendar.

    Thank you
