  Thank you for your update on the issue.

  If I understand correctly, you are unable to open the shortcuts in internet Explorer on the desktop for a maximized window. Please, try the following steps and check if the problem persists.

  1. Right click on the shortcut on the desktop, and then click Properties.
  2. In the shortcut tab, change the option extended in the run section.
  3. Click OK.

  Check if the problem persists. Please post back your results for assistance.

  Hello. I have Windows 7 starter on my netbook and want to create a shortcut on the desktop for Windows Defender. However, it does not appear as a program in the start menu and the option to display the control panel more big or small icons is greyed out (i.e., not available in starter edition), I don't see the program on the control panel or the other. The only way I can get to it is to type in 'Defender' in the search field in the start menu or the search field on the control panel. Although one of these actions will locate Windows Defender, they do not provide me the ability to create a shortcut for the application. I tried searching in Program Files on the C drive and found him, but did not know which file right-click on the folder to create a shortcut file. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.

• Need advice - shortcut on the desktop, security warning.

  I went through tons of stuff from igor, nancy, jsmith, Weaver, jasper, giles, etc...
  I'm just a designer in my team, but we had just started using javafx 1.3 when 2.0 came out last year.
  We have our application running javafx2 in the browser or by the start of the Internet link, but a user experience I really want the app to slip to drop on the desktop browser, close to create a shortcut on the desktop action back.
  We had him in fx 1.3 but the programmers tell me that it is not available in fx 2.0.
  Is this true? I can't get a shortcut created more? or perhaps have not thought of another work around them?

  I generated a jnlp and an html for a NetBeans 7.1 project file.
  NetBeans placed the item shortcut in the wrong place in the jnlp, so I moved it in the sub node.
