Hello

If the information I am providing does not work, you will need to contact your computer manufacturer for assistance that these discs that you made are their recovery to factory settings software process.

Microsoft plays no role in their recovery process.

I'm glad that you have saved all of the data because the hard drive will be wiped clean during the recovery process.

To reinstall Vista using their recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk, you did and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

And as you never received a recovery disk when you purchased your computer (you have done your own disks) there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

See you soon.

    Hi Jim9or,

    You can only choose the restore point in the list of restore points that are available in the system restore.

    If the 21/09/11 date is not available in the list of restore points, you will not be able to restore your computer to this particular date.

    Here is a guide to back to factory settings.

    Ask your computer manufacturer to get the EXACT instructions:

    How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
    A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
    The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

    There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

    If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • I want to restore my computer to a point, four months ago. How do I do that?

    I want to restore my computer to a point, four months ago. How do I do that?

    I think that the only option you have is to look at the date in the system restore. You can start the system restore command by typing rstrui.exe in search and run it.

    Good luck.

  • Want 4500 Scan to computer cannot be configured to start automatically

    In the Envy Series 4500 HP printer Assistant under 'Manage the computer analysis' that one is supposed to be able to click on a checkbox so that the feature is enabled on startup (Windows connect).

    However, on my system, this box does not (cannot be verified) and I have to go and click on the button "Activate" on each session when I want to analyze manually. (Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit SP1, HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC)

    .. Finally managed to do work, and the solution was simple. I only had to start the wizard by using 'Run as administrator' (right-click with the mouse on the icon), and then the desired option is clickable.

    Support HP BTW began to ask what version of Windows (by e-mail), I was using - just embarrassing. Well, at least they don't recommend uninstalling all other drivers, wait 30 seconds and reformat the drive.

  • How to restore my computer?

    Hello.

    I have a problem with my computer. I wanted to restore my computer for some reason. The problem is that a few days ago I opened it and almost all of the programs and applications have been removed and obviously I do not know why. Even when I open the menu start there no program in all the files in there.

    Need help!

    Hello Marti

    Your only option and of course the best way to resolve this strange matter, is recovery image installation.
    After that this laptop will be the same as on the first day after the purchase.

    Check the document posted by Timox. You will find detailed instructions on the installation of HARD drive recovery.
    If your computer starts correctly and everything will be ok if you please, as long as the first thing, create a recovery media and make backup recovery image. You can do this by using preinstalled Toshiba recovery media creator tool.

    If something goes wrong with the recovery image saved on the HARD drive or the HARD drive is faulty, you will have media bootable recovery you can use for recovery image installation. It is very, very important for you.

    I hope that you will be able to reinstall the operating system on your machine. A few comments would be greatly appreciated.
