I want to save my emails on my computer instead of thunderbird

I got an email from work (IMAP) via the STRATO server that I have connected to my thunderbird account. As my Stratoserver mailbox is full, I have to delete emails from this account. The thing is that I don't want to lose any email, so I need to know if it is possible to save all the contacts and emails in my thunderbird or on my laptop so that I can remove all of my emails in my online webmail account without losing them in Thunderbird. I tried a few options, it's not just for work. I have a Macbook Pro dec 2014 edition.

Thunderbird is software on your computer, so I do not understand your subject line.
You need create folders in the local folders and copy the messages in these folders. Once you are sure the messages are located in the folders the and check them out you can remove them from your server vendors.

Once I have download the messages on the hard drive of my computer, I want to delete them from the server. What should I do?

Messages stored in local folders are yours to keep regardless of what is or isn't on any server.

If you move the messages from the folder in the local folders account it will be achieve your needs in a single action; they will be saved locally and will be deleted from the server.

It would be fantastic if when save my emails on my computer the file name can be customized to be something different than just the title of the message. As I suggested in the question, if it could be set up to be "date, time, sender, title" that would be great, much assistance during the passage of a .eml files between colleagues, or just simply organize your emails into folders. Is this possible and if yes, how does one?

Short answer is then dragging to the desired location in the file system and drop them. Paolos add-on will do the job as well, but it is not really necessary.

I also think that I should update the link to the add-on as it was available on AMO for quite a while now. So here's the updated link https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/

Slide mail from Thunderbird to the file system is converted to EML mail format. This means that almost any program mail (excluding Outlook) can read them in the mail.

    Drag to Thunderbird also works.

  • Firefox is not saving one of my email addresses and the password (it's to save three of the four). He is not asking me if I want to save it, and there is no "Save" command under Tools. I have a Mac OS10.4.11.

I have four accounts with btes.tv (served by WorldClient). Firefox asked if I wanted to save my password with three accounts, but he did not go with the fourth. I have re-made preferences/security/save passwords several times without success. I don ' t know what else to do.

Save the name, and the password to connect to a server does not always work. For example it does not with Hotmail (live.com) because Hotmail uses JavaScript to generate the login form.

Web sites may also use autocomplete = off to prevent Firefox to record the name and the password.

You can remove autocomplete = off with a bookmarklet to register the name and the password of Firefox.

Highlight all in the email (CTRL + A open email with the cursor was clicked in the body of the message), press CTRL + C.

Open Microsoft Word.  Click somewhere in the body of the document.  Press CTRL + V to paste what you copied.

Now - you said attachment... Why can not save you it on your computer, open it directly?

  • How to save an email on a folder?

I get an email giving details of a new Member and I want to save 'new Member' in my folder "tennis club". How can I do?

Where is your folder "tennis club"? In Thunderbird, or anywhere else in your computer?

Either way, you can just drag - move the message in your folder "tennis club". But if it is outside of Thunderbird, it will save as eml file and you should not use Thunderbird to open and read it.

So another approach is to use "file |" ' Save as ' in Thunderbird, tell him where to save the message, with whom and in what format. HTML can be useful for you.

And you could just select the text of the message, copy it and paste it into a new text in Notepad, Wordpad or similar document that you save in your folder "tennis club".

  • How can I save an email as a text file before you delete it my Inbox?

Some emails I want to save on my computer so that I can view without opening to the top of my email. I'm used to be able to do this by registering in a document as a text file folder. (Outlook express). I don't find this capablity in Thunderbird. If it is there, I have not found it.

File | Register under gives you several options. By default, it will save in an .eml file, which will need an e-mail client to display. You can usually save drag-and-drop, but that creates an .eml file too.

You can save as HTML by putting in a file html extension when you do file | Save as.

    This add-on:

offers several options to save one or more messages in different formats.

    Hi George,.

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description of the problem, it seems that you want to save emails to My Documents folder on the computer and you are unable to open the emails.

I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions to help you best:

    1. what version of Windows is installed on the computer?

    2. What mail client do you use?

3 - is customer e-mail based on the web or Microsoft Outlook client?

    4. what happens when you try to open the emails?

    5. do you get an error message?

6 have have there been recent changes made on the computer before the show?

Usually, you can right click on what you want to move my documents and then click SAVE LINK as... If it's an email that you have open, you can click SAVE the IMAGE under... This will bring up a box.

Ensure that my Documents is in the box SAVE in. If it's not click on the arrow down on the right side of this box and My Documents should be there... Click on it and it will end up in the box.

The file that you want there should already be in the FILE NAME box at the bottom. If you want to change the name just highlight... it... Rename .delete it and then click SAVE and it puts this file in My Documents.

However, when I try to analyze email when several pages, the example pages 30. I can receive email but no attachment document, I tried to use multiple accounts e-mail, such as gmail, hotmail, etc., all emails have the problem.

    Hey @KahLee,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have some problems with the scan to E-mail on your 7640 e want - all - in - one printer. I can help you with that.

What is happening is that your biggest scans exceeds the size of the limit analysis server. If I remember correctly the limit is 10 MB. If you want to send larger files, you will need to save the analysis on a computer and then send it to the receiver.

If you have any other questions, you can contact HP Cloud Services by clicking here and filling out the form below.

Or search for programs by default, which must raise I have right as well (just start typing on the splash screen or slide from left to right and click on the search button). Go to the photos and select set this program as default. This fixed it for me.

  • We must save some emails received by Hotmail. Is their way of doing with them retaining indefinitely as e-mail?

    Original title: Hotmail email

We must save some emails received by Hotmail. Is their way of doing with them retaining indefinitely as e-mail? We get a lot of good articles to friends, that we want to keep for future reference. We appreciate any ideas that others may have. This e-mail message set up came with our computer that uses widows 8 operating system on a 64-bit desktop computer manufactured by HP. Thank you for any help you all can provide. Fred and Joan.

I beg of you.  Another tip.  If you use Hotmail from the Web site (which has been renamed Outlook.com), you can use the Archive button on the toolbar at the top.  The first time you use it, it will ask you which folder you want to move the messages archived at.  It should not be called "Archive".
