Can I save my emails TB at a location of my choice?

I want to save my TB emails on a separate partition of 'Data' rather than the default location in the C: drive. I would like to know the following:
Which TB emails now reside?
Can I move e-mail messages to a drive/folder of my choice?
Is it possible that I can put in place so that all emails will be there automatically saved in the future

You can not. Best solution is to create in your word-processing program and then copy / paste the results into the Web site message box. Bruce Hagen

How can you save an email in one file other than a gall email.  I could always save and send my Word with XP files.

    Help, please

    Thanks for your help.
With windows XP, I could save my emails to my word files.  I use MSN as my source of e-mail.  Windows 7 doesn't have a "SAVE AS" function.  I was facing and paste but that takes a lot of time compared to a touch of "SAVE AS".

I'm surprised that it is not available in Windows 7.

  • How can I save an email as a text file before you delete it my Inbox?

Some emails I want to save on my computer so that I can view without opening to the top of my email. I'm used to be able to do this by registering in a document as a text file folder. (Outlook express). I don't find this capablity in Thunderbird. If it is there, I have not found it.

File | Register under gives you several options. By default, it will save in an .eml file, which will need an e-mail client to display. You can usually save drag-and-drop, but that creates an .eml file too.

You can save as HTML by putting in a file html extension when you do file | Save as.

    This add-on:

offers several options to save one or more messages in different formats.

  • How to save an email to a file to my hard drive?

    Save Email on hard drive

I have Windows 7 and I am confused with the new XP system.  I now get all the answers to my email to an email and sometimes do not know that I got a new email.  They all stay together.   The other question I have is how to save an email to a file to my hard drive.  I would like to save emails in my folders related discipline.  Appreciate any help

You use Windows Live Mail?  If so, it seems that you have enabled the
    option of aggregates by "Conversation".
On the view tab, click Conversations, Off.

To save a message to your hard drive, click the icon without label to the left
of the House, then save, save as a file.

  • How can I save and copy or move individual emails and maintain their "Date received" Informaion "Date sent"?

I frequently need to find an old email and used to achieve this by sorting the email in Windows Explorer by their 'Date '. Slip / deposit via Outlook does not retain the "receiving" and/or data "Date sent", but Live Mail does. It works fine for me, as I can my free account of old emails (more that I've never have to or want to watch again), while allowing a quick and easy via Windows Explorer, search when I need to locate one of them. The challenge I encountered is when you try to save these emails on an external drive. "Date of receipt" and given "Date sent" appear to be properties that cannot be copied. Then when my main computer crashed and I had to restore the backup data on a drive external hard, all email metadata is lost. Any help or advice is appreciated. I mainly use Outlook, so if this can be accomplished without Live Mail that would be great. Otherwise, it seems like a problem of management of files, so I classify the issue as such.

Windows Explorer does not appear to 'know' the internal format of an .msg file, therefore, it does not fill the metadata fields of the values contained in e-mail messages.
