  You say you have lost the tab "tool"?

  If so, just right click on one of the other tabs and select "basic" in the context menu that appears.

  2. Type msconfig and press ENTER.

  I assume that you want to place some signs along the right edge. If this is the case choose window and check the panels you want to display. You can adjust their width and position.
