Your question of Windows 7 is more complex than what is generally answered in the Microsoft Answers forums. It is better suited for the IT Pro TechNet public. You can follow the link to your question:

  • How can I obtain and use a password that works to open several documents in the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC?

I have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on my computer.  I have NEVER had trouble opening a document from this location before.  All of a sudden, I wonder a PASSWORD.  I went and created a password, but it does NOT work when I try to open certain documents only three 3 in Player-all OTHER documents are open without asking for a password.   I tried to reset the password and tried again to open these particular documents.  They are still not open!

Then I "chatted" with ADOBE and they me logged onto the Forum and told me to look for an answer I was ANable to automatically find...

What is everyone out there knows what I need to do to obtain a PASSWORD THAT WILL WORK when I try to open these 3 documents?

ALSO, what is the URL of the FORUM ADOBE?

Thank you VERY MUCH to anyone who can help me.  I have urgently NEED to see these documents today, 18/05/15.  Thanks again!

Where are you talking about? There is no link with all the documents in your message.

If it is a pdf file and it asks for a password when you try to open it, then someone added a password. You speak to reset a password, but Adobe Reader cannot do this, so I'm confused as to what the problem may be here.

  • How to solve the problem with the Gmail password that worked before and works online?

1 thunderbird worked very well with my Gmail account for months, then was unable to send a message, but can still receive messages.
    2. I asked me to re-enter my password and it has not fixed the problem.
    3. I went to Gmail online and connected to verify that my password has not changed. Success.
    4. I have reset password in Thunderbird, but still could not send test message to myself.
    5. I deleted the account in Thunderbird. I then added a different Gmail acct that wasn't in Tbird. Success. Then I sent the test email, success.
6 then I added the original Gmail acct, failure! He finds the correct settings automatically, but when he tried to check the password, it failed. I repeated to enter the password several times but always failed.

This isn't true at all. In fact, the specific problem of this user has been resolved when they discovered that someone has added a password security policy to their files. See: How to get and use a password that works to open several documents in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC?

If you add the password to your files yourself and then forgotten, then there is nothing that can be done using Adobe software, however.

This can be done with Adobe Reader but is not able to apply (or remove) a security strategy for PDF files.

  • Mail master password hidden

Is it possible for content of messages hidden in all those who ignore the master password?
If I don't type the password I can't download new messages, but I can read all the mail folder, and this is a problem of security nonsense.
Why Thunderbird does not create a master password that hid everything in boxes to the letters?

    Thank you very much, Matteo.

I answered a similar question yesterday and some of what I wrote then can apply to you also:

    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/1034630

Specifically for the protection of the entire profile, you can find the extension useful StartupMaster:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Thunderbird/addon/StartupMaster/

It is perhaps not obvious from the description, but once installed, the first thing you see is a connection password prompt, and only when that has been entered correctly the main Thunderbird window appears.

Keep in mind that, since it is implemented by an add-on, a user can easily circumvent the password challenge, and in all cases, your emails are stored in plain text and can be discovered by anyone by browsing your file system.

Thunderbird developers chose not to reinvent the wheel; If you are concerned about prvacy, they assumed that the users use the tools built into the operating system; user accounts, logins, passwords and encrypted file systems.

  • The function of master password automatically enter other sites usernames and passwords when you access these sites, or that they are always manually?

Master password enter usernames and passwords automatically, or should the user still manually enter this info?

Yes, after you set a master password, you will be asked to enter when Firefox needs to access your stored passwords. It will "unlock" the usernames and passwords you have saved and Firefox will automatically added automatically in for you when you navigate from site to site.

When you are finished using the web, you can exit Firefox to "lock" your usernames and passwords.

  • Setting master password. Confused.

    People,

    I'll put it out there:
    "Master password"

I read that it is desirable to have one, for if a person / thing to access your stored passwords.

    Granted.

If you define a "master password".

So I load FF and one of my web pages is "pinned" - my g-mail account.

I also have the 'usage meter"showing me how much of my monthly allowance I used.

    Loading the page of g-mail.
    The netusage doesn't.

So I RMB on it and say "update its use" and I am asked to enter the "master password", enter it and the gauge is updated.

But to me, you can ask the question:
How to load the page g-mail if passwords are locked by the master?

OK, maybe the cookies, but I just want to put out there coz I'm obviously missing something.

    Thanks in advance.

Details such as websites to remember you (automatically log you) are stored in a cookie.

You must either disconnect manually before closing Firefox or disable cookies from Google (Gmail).
Note that if you leave tabs open that restore the Session can save these cookies as part of the data session, so leave the cookies expire when you close Firefox does not work.

  • I forgot my master password. How do I find or change, once again?

I changed my master password last night and I forgot to write down it. Now I can't get into one of my accounts on the net. Is there a way I can change that, or what is my password? You know like I do for all other websites with a password.

You can reset your master password, but you will lose all your passwords saved, unfortunately...

If you continue to do this, you can follow the instructions below:

    • Go to chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xul via the address bar of Firefox
    • Click ENTER, and then click RESET
  • Someone has put a master password in my Firefox without my permission, how to erase it if I don't know what it is?

A few days back somebody, more than probably one of my children put a master password in my Firefox browser. Now I can not connect in my crosshairs pay Bill or anything else, as he continues to ask me a master password that nobody seems to know what is. Is there a way to clean that? If so, how? I rather not completely it blow and start over.

Thanks for your attempts to help, but I could finally understand what the kids had done. He ended up not being that they have changed or entered one. The problem stems from the bar one of them was installed, after I deleted it I managed to enter a master password and recover all without losing all my passwords saved a tool. I learned something from that however, I now have a copy of my signons3.txt file saved someplace safe, so if something happens in the future I have a copy backup.

  • What is the best mac security software

I have an old Mac book pro running OS x 10.6.8 and it goes very slow and lots of pop ups etc when I go online. What is the best security software to use to remedy what the computer is too old to update to the Mavericks and beyond. Thank you

OS X must not any 'security' software because it is built in.

  • What is a master password in Windows 7?

I have three teenage sons. To control when they can and can't sign our family computers, I regularly have to change the passwords for their standard user account. However, my eldest son has now found a way to replace the new password I enter and sign on it any time he wants. He told me that he has implemented a "password base" or "master password" that allows him to connect. I noticed that any process it uses Exchange as his password for everything that I may be defined.

Is it possible for a standard user (non-administrator) to create something like a master password? Or is it more likely that he created a password recovery disk somehow? If it has created such a drive, how to disable or prevent signature whenever it wants?

N ° there is no "master password" beyond an administrator account.

Yes. This seems to be a case of him creating a password reset disk ".".

    Create a password reset disk

As far as I know, it is not possible to disable this feature and it's by design.

  • Why do I see all of my passwords without the master-password with database synchronized with the PC who lit master-password?

I use Firefox with Firefox Sync on different PCs and master password is set early when I started to use Firefox.

Today, I installed Firefox for Android, allowed in Firefox Sync, open the Connections tab, "Show password" button waiting for my master password entry form and... I saw my password. And all the others.

The password has never been typed on the keyboard of the Android. Firefox has never been installed on the phone before. How is that possible? Firefox stores my master-password in the web? It is very very bad. Now, those who steal my sync account can see all my passwords even without the master-password.

Firefox for Android has no knowledge of the master password set up on your desktop Firefox. By pressing the button display the password displays the passwords.

If you don't want to use a master password in Firefox for Android, you can implement that. Click the 3 menu point in the upper right corner, select settings, select privacy, select password main use and then choose a password.

Passwords are encrypted before sending them to the service using your password synchronization Sync Mozilla's. The only data that Mozilla's Sync is fully encrypted and Mozilla or another party cannot decipher. When you connect to the synchronization of the encrypted passwords are downloaded and decrypted locally.

If you want the details there is a ton of documentation to https://github.com/mozilla/fxa-auth-server#firefox-accounts-server follow the links several first for depth in explanation of the service.
