  I'm trying to publish a picture book for children using author ibooks. Some images are great and can be adjusted. I tried to insert another image today and after reformatting of a size suitable for the jpeg format, I inserted next to the title page in the area of the image. He seems to move under the box and can not be found. What on Earth is that all? I clicked on see the invisible, and it could be modified with mask, even thought it was totally invisible to me.

  I had trouble with this question, too, as I began to use iBooks author earlier. From what I've learned, the ability to offer adjustable fonts for the reader / end-user is based on the original model that we built our book on. But there is more that we have the choice in versions of model e-pub and multi-touch included those with iBA. I'm building a Multi Touch iBook which is based on the iBA model included for the landscape layout - there is no support in this one for the reader change the font. I found that for me, I had to choose between: fixed layout, content can be layout and multi-touch (exclusive iBooks). Given that the multi-touch functionality is very important for me because my iBook project a lot of nested widgets Gallery, lack of adjustable characters was acceptable (to me).

  I know there are items online somewhere at Apple, but I couldn't find them easily. I found another article that can help you:

  I try to import a Keynote file into iBooks author using the Widget but get the following message is displayed:

  I see that you experience a problem when you attempt to use a Keynote presentation with iBooks author. I have an article for you related to this topic, and it can be found here:

  You can also drag a Keynote (.key) file directly to the book page without adding a widget to Keynote first.

  Important: Images in a Keynote file should not be higher than 25 megapixels (5000 x 5000 pixels) or 50 MB.

  You can't interact with a Keynote slideshow in iBooks author, but readers can interact with it in the finished book.

• IBooks author - Photos

  I can't navigate to my photographs in iBooks author - the media browser shows nothing.

  Is this a known problem? Is there a solution?

  It's a known problem but no update to iBooks author yet! I opened Photo and choose a photo. I can drag it to the desktop. I then drop it onto the Automator application to resize to 1024 x 768 (see You Tube for configuring the application). I then drag the picture resized to a new file in called picture resized with a topic name. To get the picture resized in iBooks author is another problem. Drag it out of the file to the desktop. This sometimes doesn't work so copy and then click on the desktop before pasting here.

  The next step is to get the thumb file in iBooks author. Do slide into a placeholder image or place it directly on your page and go to the Inspector to adjust the image according to your specifications.

  A huge amount of extra work caused by the new Photo program which has replaced iPhoto!

• iBooks author version 2.4.1 or 2.5

  My iBook, author, dialog box says 'about' this is version 2.4.1.  The MAS said that the version the most recent is 2.5, but it does not show an available update.

  I have NOT upgraded yet to Sierra, so it is possible that 2.5 is available after update, but I want to assure you, that is the only question.

  SHOULD I see an update of 2.4.1 2.5 of El Capitan?

  It's an interesting question you have posted. I'm in Yosemite, and while they inspected the updates in the Mac App Store application, it offers me an update for iBA. I've been using version 2.4.1.

  For what it's worth, I do not anticipate upgrading to El Capitan and probably moved Sierra on this hard drive.

• iBooks author - TOC shows the empty entries for table - how to stop this?

  I spent hours trying to find an answer to this.

  My book has a few tables - nothing wrong with that.  I have a front cap of the table - that's what I want in the table of contents.

  iBooks author shows instead, empty entries whenever he comes across a table, that is hopeless.

  

  I just want the topic as indicated above - 2.1.  I don't want 2.2 which is the table.

  Does anyone have an idea how to do this, please?

  If this isn't the case, iBooks author is desperate for any book that contains the tables.

  I found an article from Apple which may help to answer your question and I pasted the link below. I think that you will have to 'say' iBA this is or is not part of the Table of contents (TOC) and's done it with the Inspector tool, Document tab, section TOC. Look down at the bottom of this window to the sign and arrow down to allow the addition of other document settings in the table of contents, or remove some.

  It's great that iBooks author offers the possibility to export to EPUB and iBooks.  But what version of the standard EPUB export to? EPUB 3 differs significantly from 2 EPUB in its ' underlying structure and capacity.

• Why can't I create a new epub file in a model of epub on ibooks author?

  I try to import an epub I created on another platform in iBooks author in order to edit it there and re-export as an epub. When you choose file > new epub file and I choose a model, epub models are not available. No idea why? No work around? I don't see why I can't create an epub from an any epub.

  I don't think that iBA has the functionality you need.  You start with a model of epub and add things to it.

  You must use another application to edit your original epub.  Apple won't do anything for this AFAIK.

• Do I need a separate password for ibooks author?

  I am a writer and wanted to try one of my creations of ibooks. I have an account and put everything up very well a few weeks ago.

  When I try to connect to iTunes Connect (page along the way to publish), I use my ID Apple and my Apple password (that I had to change a few times to try to get here) unfortunately I can't go through this screen. I downloaded the software "director" and installed.

  I'm stuck in the middle and no password works. However, when I use my password to access my iTunes account, it works.

  Is there a special treatment or somehow add a strange password in ibooks author who doesn't stop me?

  Any help would be appreciated as long as this lasts for a few days now, and statements of Support have me sent in circles and do not solved the problem.
