IBooks icons do not work

My iPad, an Air 2, I think, had iOS 9.3.2 this morning. My purchased books are available in the application and icon purchase watch expects 15 update but the selection of one of the icons to star, New York times, authors, etc. don't work... the rest blank page. I support cat this morning and after half an hour, she just wanted to make a Reset with all the reconfiguration that I do and no idea if this could solve this problem, with what she did not know. I decided to try the update iOS 9.3.3 waiting. It was good, but had no impact on this problem. The only other clue - if I go by the browser on the iBooks site (iTunes.apple.com/iBooks), it fill the iBooks app with the choice of book to this site, but by selecting one of the app icons a bottom are still blank pages.

Amy ideas?

I have exactly the same problem; made with Apple Care 1 hour - no idea what was wrong.  Tech was unfamiliar with the issue, as was the general contractor.  I tried 9.3.3 iOS update, but it did not issue.  Signed in and out of the iTunes, done a sync, hard reset;  are there books but tabs come in white.  IBooks works on my iPhone 6 s, old iPad 2, Macbook and Imac.  Wait a few days and then try the Genius Bar.

Appreciate any input.

  • The text on the Windows Paint program icon does not work

I use Vista and do not know if this is the reason why the text icon does not work. All other icons work. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Hi bipsvic,

Since when are you facing this problem?
    If it works well before?

I suggest that you want to run the file system (CFS) Checker scan that might help you to solve the issue.
To determine if the problem you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows Vista, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
    2. right click on cmd in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
    3. at the command prompt, the following line, and then press ENTER:
     sfc/scannow

When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved. If the problem you are experiencing is not resolved, use the procedure that is described in the section "the System Restore tool.

Follow the instructions in the link below for more information on scan SFC.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936212/

Check whether the problem is resolved.

If this does not work, you can try to create the new user account by following the instructions in the link below and check if it works.

  • Gmail attach file icon does not work

Is there a way to fix this? I tried to network.http.spdy.enabled to false. No go. I tried to reset all the settings of ie, a suggestion somewhere, no go.

Safe mode - does not work.

This problem seems to be not the case. I can drag files in gmail, but the attach file icon does nothing.

Attach the icon file works under IE, but I am using Firefox.

Is there a fix or do I need a new computer?

In my case, the solution was to let it set while I was sleeping, similar to the way in which the problem was created. I do not recommend this as a solution, but I can say that this is how my problem was solved.

Before going to sleep, I've agonized all day, trying every suggestion I could find, but all without success. I can't say that has had an impact on the solution or not, but I think dying could be required before this will fix itself. Hard to say, I can't do nothing to cause the problem.

Good luck and may the wind blow in the back.

  • My new tab icon does not work anymore, how can I solve this problem?

When I click on my new tab icon nothing happens. It started recently. I rebooted my machine and Firefox restarted all to nothing will do.

Or not work Ctrl + T, or the new tab menu item. I hate having to go through Internet Explore. Help, please. Thank you.

Could you try Mode without failure of Firefox? It is a standard diagnostic tool in order to avoid interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Mode safe help

Help > restart with disabled modules

In the dialog box, click on 'Start mode safe' (not Reset)

  • Satellite C660 - some Web page icons do not work

First of all please forgive me for being very naïve about the functioning of the laptop. I know a little but nothing more than how to perform analyses of virus/malware and surf the net.

I have a laptop C660 - R15 (PSC0LE). I started to have problems with IE8 in windows 7 (it came with the laptop). I noticed that some Web page icons or menus will not work. At first I thought it was a problem of java so made sure that I was running the latest version. But it still persists. So I then upgraded to IE9 that Windows 7 has suggested. This is where the problem has increased.

I can not yet use icons on Web pages and also my laptop now works very very slow when I try to open folders/programs. Internet works ok (ish) but sometimes goes all too slow.

I upgraded my BIOS for a keyboard problem, I had (it had been delayed evil), which fixed the problem and I also ran program PC Health Advisor who said I need some driver updates.

Is it a Windows 7 problem? Or is there anything else I should look at?

Keep your answers in terms of base because I admit openly that I am strongly a technophob with regard to the functioning of the laptop.

It seems that my question has been moved, but it is still. Also the computer is trolling again and it is sometimes so bad that it takes more than 3 minutes to sort. Even when I Ctrl, alt & del it takes forever for the Task Manager start to appear. Any ideas?

How can I manage via pc?

    Thank you

Now that it has been reduced to more precisely this program, you have all other printers on your PC?  This icon has ever worked for you?  Thank you for your patience while I see if I can find the missing file to get the program to open for you.

This document may not be in the same title specific your question, but it is referenced in this thread pc_wizard, "hp officejet 4620 series program will not work" but I want to keep it more simple than some of the steps in this post.

-Open Assistant HP printer with an error in Script or in Notepad- One Solution is the manual fix that may work for you.  Two solution is to download the necessary hotfix file for HP printer Assistant works.

If she does not work for you, I have two more proven methods but please answer my questions if it does not help.  I just want to really see if this hotfix is the key, since I can't reproduce this problem on my own PC.  I really hope that it works. Keep me posted.

  • the desktop icons do not work

All the icons and even folders do not work when I click on them.  If I right click on the icon or the folder it open quickly as before.

Is there an associated process that should run to facilitate icons to work?

    Hi DelZavala,

There are several things to try, and I recommend doing them in the order presented.

If you can access the internet somehow, if you use XP, go to http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm and scroll to the EXE and click, or double-click it to run the program to restore EXE file associations. Once done, do the same for LNK entry. That should restore your programs.

If it does not (although it does in general), try the following article (which is essentially what precedes, but made by hand): http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923077.

Try a clean boot in XP http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353 and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316434. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem. Follow the procedures described in the article. Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall. Once don't forget to reset your system back to the normal state, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

If this problem started recently, try a system restore to a point before the problem.  Here are the steps for XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084.

I hope this helps. Otherwise, back post and we will look at in other less likely but possible options such as infection or corruption of system files - but I honestly think one of the above will do the trick for you.

    Good luck!

  • Several desktop icons do not work on XP

Most of the icons on the desktop will not work. Internet Explorer works and all my web programs. Can download programs, but they will not run.

None of the programs execution function as regedit. I have a list of orders execution and none work. Some things will work in safe mode. Programs are not

work to start / all programs either. When you click on an icon the hourglass comes on for a split second and then turns off.

I suggest running command prompt and type:

    sfc/scannow

and then press enter and let scan to proceed, and then restart your PC, see if the problem is resolved. If this isn't the case, follow the structure on:
