  I understand that you are having problems getting your work HP Pavilion HPE h8-1010cs desktop PC with your Gainward GeForce® GTX 970 Phantom 4 GB graphics card. I think that the reason why you're facing this problem is the breaking backward compatibility on the PCIe slots was broken to the around the label Gen 2.1 and you try to put a Gen 3.0 card in a slot of Gen 1.0.   I ordered a new graphics card and the power supply about two weeks ago. When I put the new power supply in the computer, it worked fine, power supply is Corsair 600 watts. This is not the first time that I changed my graphics card and the one I have now is a PNY GeForce GT 610. I'm trying to get is a MSI GeForce GTX 950. I took it to a buddy of mine to see if the problem was with the card and it worked fine on his custom build, but when I try to put in mine all the getting is the HP logo on a blue screen reading "Push ESC for boot menu". When I Press esc, nothing happens. There are two single beeps, one about 30 seconds after you turn on the computer and another minute later, followed by the screen goes black with a underscore on it.

  Any help would be wonderful that I have run out of ideas as to what could be the problem. Thank you for your time.

  VGcrazee, welcome to the forum.

  I think that your new video card is not compatible with the motherboard BIOS.  960 GTX requires UEFI in the motherboard rather than a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  I suggest that you check the BIOS version and contact Technical Support PNY for help.  They are the experts on their products.  It is very difficult to know which video cards more recent will work with older computers.

  Not all laptops have this feature available in the BIOS. The notebooks have done. Switchable graphics stand is for the user to control the selection of the GPU by using the Catalyst Control Center options.

  You can actually turn off the graphics card Intel HD by removing the switch automatically the boat and selecting your GPU Radeon HD. Once you have done this, the high-performance GPU will remain selected until you change the settings in Configure with the option switchable graphics.

  Yes, it works with a motherboard that has UEFI.  However, HP has their motherboards made to their specifications and is not the same as the commercial versions.  It is difficult to find a motherboard that has holes to match the accessory in the case.  In addition, the connectors in the case aren't always the same thing as retail motheboards.

  According to the HP for your PC product page, it did not come with preinstalled Win10, so this implies that you upgraded to Win10, right?

  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem, that you are facing is that Microsoft provides only pilots with the most basic features and what you really need for these features in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific material found in laptops - and unfortunately, there is no HP Win10 laptop driver.

  I noticed that Windows 7 x 64 claiming that the (Intel HD) graphics card uses more 1.5 GB, in addition to the 64 MB dedicated.   Is there a way to limit the amount of video memory, the computer laptop complaints?  I want to top it to 512 MB, leaving the rest for operating system/applications.

  On my Dell laptop, it is possible to set the video memory in the BIOS, but it is so limited on this dm4 I don't see this setting.

  I really hope that someone can offer more help that Toshiba has done, as I am a bit unhappy to be problems on a 2 month old laptop.

  The cooling fan is controlled by the fan table in the BIOS. Fan table contains information about the temperature and the fan speed that means the depands on some level temperature fan speed.
  Over all the possible game features as the CPU, GPU, produce heat and the heat dissipation is high
  Cooling modules would begin to turn faster if the temperature level would be exceeded
  This is nothing exceptional everything at stake

  I read on a similar question, and apparently, the graphics card DRIVER crashed during games
  Maybe it's a compatibility problem between game and pilot
  In most cases the graphics card driver update should fix this and I read on some forums that it has helped in many cases
