  • Firefox does not ask me to change a password stored in the local password database when I change it to a HTTP SVN repo that authenticates via LDAP

Access to multiple repositories served via HTTP SVN. Authentication is done via LDAP. Firefox is able to save passwords for pop up dialog boxes provided by the SVN server for authentication. Periodically, I change my password for LDAP in Active Directory. When I access the SVN rest once again, I have change the password is entered in the dialog box, but Firefox do not ask me to update. Earlier (FF 3.x), Firefox asked me to update the password in the stored passwords. With FF 7.0.1 it does not prompt me for that and retains the old password.

    Original description:

Let's say that I kept the password for some sites. As time goes by, I change the password on this site. Now, the next time I connect, password manager offers to enter my old information. I type in my password and enter the site. Earlier (FF 3.x), Firefox asked me to update the password in the stored passwords. With FF 7.0.1 it does not prompt me for that and retains the old password.

OK, I feel like a fool. Turns out that the HTTP Server was in the list of exceptions, but under his own 192.168.X.X IP address rather than the hostname of our SVN server resolved internally. I missed which I was looking for the host name. Once I removed the IP address of the exceptions list entry, the problem has been resolved.

  • iCloud ask password for an account that I deleted!

Help!  A few months ago, I changed my Apple ID because I got a new email address, and I introduced myself to have been deleted the old account successfully.  Now, I find that on my iPad, I can not make any change - add/remove applications, not even to RESTORE settings, without entering the password for the OLD account - that does not exist!  I knew the password when the account exists, but there is no need to type because the account has been deleted - by me.  I went to the web page of Apple ID and entered my old Apple code and confirmed that she is even - so, how can I possibly get a password for it.  I thought that I restore the unit to the factory setting and start from scratch - but EVEN THAT requires that I get the password for the old account.  It's crazy.  Any help, please?

Do you mean that you updated the primary e-mail address on the account, or you contacted iTunes support and asked them to delete the account and that they agreed to do (users cannot delete accounts)?

If you mean updated try: If iCloud asks you the password to your previous Apple ID - Apple Support.

If you mean that the deleted Support iTunes account, and if you were the original purchaser of the iPad (i.e. he not was purchased used) then you could try to go to an Apple Store (make a Genius Bar appointment if you do) or try to contact iTunes Support Online (http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/) and see if they can remove the iPad on the account - they are likely to want to see proof of ownership before they could help for example received original with top serial number

I can't erase the iPhone because you need to connect to do, and I tried to temporarily replace your method Apple ID. Also signing off iCloud is not an option because it requires the password to log. Can I do or what I should contact Apple further away?

  • How do we stop it Firefox asking to update the password on the secondary registration pages?

Many sites Web uses a name of user and password and a 'secret question' sign in. Part II contains usually enter the answer a random question, as 'the mother maiden name. " 'place of birth' etc.

When this happens, Firefox asks if I want to update the password that it stores. I have obviously not because it will change my real password, and the answer will be different the next time in any case. This happens on all the signs in and there is no way I can tell Firefox not do; the only options are up to date or "not now".

I always feel like Firefox to remember the user principal name and the real password, so how do I prevent him from asking questions about these pseudo passwords without turning off the main connection details record?

Hello gheathen, enter Subject: authorizations in the address bar, locate the site in question and block its ability to store passwords (which should not affect the currently registered).

my phone asking me always Apple ID password of the account that I did not create. I have this account in my settings, but I don't know how to remove it. Thanks for the reply.

There are several places an identifier Apple is used on an iPhone.

    • If it's the Apple of a former owner of the phone ID, and it is in settings/iCloud grace to find my iPhone activated, ONLY the person who set up the Apple ID can remove (see: find my iPhone Activation Lock: a mechanism of extraction of the previous owner)
    • If it's the Apple ID in Settings/iTunes & App Store just log out, then log back with the correct ID of Apple.
    • Do the same for iMessage and Facetime, if that is where the Apple ID is used.
    • If he is asked during the updating of the apps means that applications have been purchased or downloaded using this code from Apple. To resolve this issue, you must remove the application, and then buy with your Apple ID.
  • FF no longer updates of passwords, record the passwords is selected.

Firefox 26.0 suddenly stopped updating my passwords. It asks if I want that he remember new passwords, but I changed my yahoo mail password and it does not ask if I want to update the password. When I come back it still has the old password.

Now after all these tests for some strange reason it worked. I did everything listed at least 3 times and it didn't work.
Thank you for help, not sure which worked, but I would like that well know so if anyone else has this problem they could benefit.
I guess the secret is to keep trying and finally the 1 & 0 align things work!

    Thanks again!

Someone logged into my icloud account also I changed my password else to do I do? What other steps should I take? Should cancel my credit card?

You probably don't need to cancel the cards, but you should keep a very close eye on them for unauthorized purchases that must be reported immediately to the issuing company. However if you have reason to believe that the person really knows the details of your card then you should discuss the cancellation of the card with their transmitters.

Change the password to a strong should keep the offender out, but you should consider the creation of a two-step verification. With this, anyone (including you) your account needs both the password and a code sent by SMS to your mobile phone. This puts an end dead to anyone else is even if they guess the password.

  • E-mail blackBerry Smartphones from BlackBerry regarding "update my password by e-mail"

Hi, I received an email supposedly from BlackBerry to my phone at 01:04 titled Action required: update password.

The message told me that I had to update my password on one of my email accounts in the BlackBerry internet service. HE said that Email from that address were not distributed to my phone (I only noticed at this point that they were not because this isn't used much e-mail) and to resume the service, I needed to update my passwsord.

He went on to give me instructions on how to do it. He said to open my BlackBerry Internet service account is by opening the configuration of email on my device application or visiting the BlackBerry Internet Service site then to go to the page e-mail accounts, choose the option change the correct email address, update the password field and then save.

Depending on my device, the message has been received using the email as needed update account and has been in my Inbox and came from "[email protected]."

It may seem silly, but I'm always a little kept when I get emails about passwords, I still did nothing, but I connect to my e-mail account online and there are 3 messages in my Inbox that indeed did not come to my phone, but no messages from blackberry. I didn't have a problem with my existing password.

Is it current for BlackBerry to ask me to do this?

Thank you very much for any help received

It happens from time to time. Fear not:
it you don't trust that, just go to your carrier's BIS site and edit the passwd file.
