icon library license

Hi all

I would like to use an icon from the icon of National Instruments library in my own non-LabVIEW program. The question is what, exactly, are the terms of the license for these images?

There is no license included with the downloadable game and the description of the icon library reads icons page that you can download and use for free in your own screws, toolbars and applications', which seems nice but kind of wave. Is "toolbars and applications" means only ones LabVIEW or in any arbitrary program?

Please advice.

I checked with the powers-that-be.  As long as the icon does not contain a product logo (Eagle, OR LabVIEW logo, etc.), it can be used freely for anything.  Most of them are fairly standard icons.  The logos of the products are copywrited.

  • Change the color of the icon library

We have built a showcase custom, but I can't figure out how (if possible) to change the color of the background toolbar icons (library, Viewer, etc.).  Light blue doesn't really fit with the colors that we used in the window.

Is there a way to get rid of the blue light or is it just something IOS?

The icon colors are controlled by iOS 7. iOS replaces any color that you specify the default system colors.

  • Synchronize with the icon library

I'm trying to use this feature of LV9 icon editor; the download seems to work (progress bar lights), but then I get this error to decompress:

    Possible reasons:

    Error opening the zip file.

I applied the patch in http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-6301 , but it did not help.

Can I manually unzip the library? but where?

    you are actually right.

That's what I did to add an icon I created myself with Windows Paint:

go to Icon Editor in LabVIEW and click on tools--> list of glyphs and the models of the icon.

After clicking on this menu, a web page opens.

In this web page are listed all the icons present on your PC with their absolute path.

In my case (Windows XP), the icons are found in these paths:

    C:\Documents and Settings\WINDOWS_USERNAME\My Documents\LabVIEW Data\Glyphs\...

    C:\Documents and Settings\WINDOWS_USERNAME\My Documents\LabVIEW Data\Icon Templates\

where WINDOWS_USERNAME is my Windows account name.

I then copied the. PNG created with Windows Paint in one of this subfolder in the folder... \Glyphs\.

Loading the editor icons once again, I was able to find the icon created.

now, if you put the download of files on our website in that directory, you should be able to find them in the Icon Editor.

Let me know if it works for you.

    Best regards

  • Location of the icon library XML file?

My installed version of LabVIEW 2015, full, SP1, does not glyphs/icons available, so I am trying to download the required files.  I downloaded the zip file with success, but when I try to download the XML file, the link takes me to a page containing the raw code.  When I copy, paste and save this code in an XML file, I get an error when I try to sync manually.  Automatic synchronization will fail also.

Here's the location of the xml file that does not work after being cut and pasted: http://www.ni.com/swf/iconlib/icons_filtered.xml

Anyone know where I can find an XML file that will work?

Of course, if there is a better way to get my glyphs work, let me know.

    Thank you.

So a number of things might happen.  This computer has multiple users?  Glyphs are installed for the user who installed LabVIEW, but nobody else.  If you don't like this design, you should go vote for this idea.

    http://forums.NI.com/T5/LabVIEW-idea-Exchange/shared-icon-editor-glyphs-directory/Idi-p/3253351

With respect to the glyph broken, updated tool, I have no idea.  The stupid thing just never worked for me.  OR even a standalone program once for the update of glyphs and it doesn't seem to work or else the other.  To help with this, I have attached my glyphs and you can simply copy and past in your \LabVIEW Data\Glphys folder.  In addition to those that come with LabVIEW 2015 I also added a Hooovahh folder with many a library open icons and a few I did.  After copying restart them LabVIEW and open the icon editor, then wait a few seconds while it lists the directory of icons.

Given the time, I bet that someone could make a tool that synchronizes correctly, download and install the icons correctly, especially since I think that most of the icon editor is open source.

  • Windows media player icon library

Hello community, I am a true beginner so please bare with me. When I play my own videos recorded on Window Media Player, there is a 3 library icon that is square at the top right of the image what opening on you allows in other files such as images etc.

When I send this video by email as an attachment and open it in my mail SENT to my computer to check if everything was OK, the library icon is still there on the video to access my computer as before.

    (1) can I assume that this icon is only show on my video sent that I use the same computer, he sent.

    (2) can I assume that the person who receives the video accessory on e-mail can not see the icon and therefore does not have access to my files on the computer.

The library icon shows that if you go to the bottom of the video to indicate the break game etc, the library icon above as shown right.

I do not share my computer with others.

    See you soon

    Hello

This icon toggle you between the current playback mode (i.e. When you actually watch the video) and the mode of the library (where you make playlists and put things, etc.). That's all it is - its got nothing to do with which had permission to post this video file on other computers.

When you send the video file to someone by e-mail all that they get is the video file. This file can get opened by Windows Media Player or any other appropriate video player application. If the recipient uses Windows Media Player this icon will behave as it does for you - they can switch between the two modes (but on their computer). Basically, after emailing the video file, it will be then also exists on the hard drive of their computer and they will play them hard drive.

The video file attachment of e-mail in your sent folder exists on your hard drive, not the recipients.

A 'regular' video file, sent by electronic mail does not allow the recipient to access files on your computer, at least that separately configure you access for them in some way.

PS Please be careful opening email attachments (even from people you know) because they can be a source of pollution.

  • How can I get the file name of a link icon library?

    Hello

With the help of AW 7.02

I have a couple of files in the library, one contains graphics, the other audio. I use a diving routine to run through the icons in the file a7p and if it is a sound icon that is "tied", I want to make sure that it is related to the audio library file. What I am having a problem with is to get the name of the linked file.

Is there an icon property that contains the info related? I believe that there is, as when I right click on a sound icon associated with a library file, I noticed that I could choose library links... in the drop-down menu, and I found the following data:

    Library link name: 1.3.1s
    Related to: 1.3.1s
In Library:lessonAudio.a7l < < <-that's what I'm interested in getting (if it is lessonGraphics.a7l then I want to warn the developer)

A little test I did with an audio icon in the flow line just before the content of calc below:

    T_Str: = GetIconContents (IconPrev (IconID)) - produces: [[#type: #linkedIcon, iconID:262168 #]]
    If T_Str [1, #type] = #linkedIcon then
    T_Str1: = GetIconContents(T_Str[1,#iconID]) - product: [[#type: #sound, #filename: "', #storage: # #format internal,: 'MP3'"]]
    on the other
    T_Str1: = ' otherwise, something else. "
    end if

#filename above seems not to be the place to look because it can contain the path to the mp3 file, IF this info is still available.

FYI, the audio in the library file is NOT related to the outside.

    Thank you

    Mike

    Mike,

Thank you for your quick response. I used GetLibraryInfo() as you suggested.

  • Problem with icons of the LV2012 library (.lvlib)

    Hello

Using LabVIEW 2012 Full version (32-bit) on Windows 7 (64-bit).

I create a project library (.lvlib) and add a bunch of screws.
I create a banner library icon and apply icon library of all the screws in the library.
I then change the icons of all the screws in the library, add additional layers, so that each VI icon has a layer called "NI_Library" (the banner library icon) and a bunch of other layers.
    So far so good.

I have then change the library icon and apply the change to all the icons in the library.
I open to the top of the screw in the library and find that all the extra layers that I added to each icon previously were wiped out. All my cancelled work.
Now each VI has 3 layers: NI_Library, NI_IconNumber and VI icon and none of my other layers.

I am sure that this has not happened in LabVIEW 2011. IN LabVIEW 2011, if I changed the icon libray and apply the change to all the screws in the library, only the layer of "NI_Library" has changed, all other layers remained intact.

Is this a known issue? Surely this can't be the way it is supposed to work? Or I'm things misunderstanding?

It's a bug that has been fixed in 2012SP1.  My apologies for the great inconvenience.

  • There was an error loading the library of license?

    Hi guru,.

I received an error when I have provided a valid license to show the connection to the server.

In the window 'Edit license', I have a valid license of entry, but got an error message saying «Error loading library license» (The original error message is in Chinese and I translated it into English, so I'm not sure that the words are exactly the same as in the English version).

It looks like something wrong before that the login server check the licesen. If the license is really invalid, the error message should be as "the license is invalid" instead of «Error loading library license» I got the error "invalid license" before but never encountered the message "load error".

    Any suggestion? Thank you!

It is to see the version 5.2

I've corrected this error by reinstalling the connection to the server.

  • Flash CC 2014 library icons are difficult to see

    Hello

2014 CC Flash library has icons that are all the gray color.  Earlier version showed the colorful icons (folders are yellow, the MCs are blue, etc.).

The icons of all - in gray in the 2014 CC Flash library are extremely difficult to organize visually.  When records are gray, as well as objects, it increases its volume of work to find and organize objects.

Adobe may ask the old colorful icons library?  Having everything in shades of gray is not a good interface design.  Thank you.

(I tried to search for this topic, but there is a problem with the Adobe Forum... whenever I come home from the search terms, the Adobe Forum displays results immediately disconnects me Forum and shows me the login page... obviously some sort of bug Forum.)

Unfortunately there is no adjustment to recover the old icons. This was done as part of a standard for all adobe products.

  • Library of mobile Photos with iCloud library enabled

TL; DR: Library of Photos while using iCloud does not merge, but adds the entire library to iCloud, once again, in my case upgrade my plan of storage while plenty of space for this merger

    All,

I have been using iCloud photo library for a long time now to synchronize photos between devices, and.

I'm running out of space in the drive of my Mac, and I wanted to move the library to the SD card, so I followed the steps to copy the folder and then selecting the alt-click on the Photos icon library.

It works, all (or most) of the exhibition of photos very well.

When I go into Preferences > iCloud he says "iCloud for Photos features are available in the library of the system", so I go to Preferences > general and click 'Use as library system' which I think is the correct step since I don't want to spend the entire hard drive and SD card is always connected (it's a Transcend JetDrive Lite 330 enough to store things I don't usually work) (such as photos, music, files ISO and VMs). ICloud options are available click on, so I check 'iCloud photo library' and then it starts to redownload my entire library

Since the library is the same, I wasn't expecting to download and let me upgrade my iCloud-storage plan. I did, for fear of deleting something, but I have always received a lot of space in my 50 GB plan that I can see in system preferences > iCloud (using the ~ 37 GB).

This is the expected behavior and what I need to download again, all my photos? They're all here already!

Are there additional steps to follow when moving the library AND iCloud is activated? I sure miss what is obvious, but I followed all the steps described in official documents and other internet resources, nothing helps, that is: no way to avoid the double space in iCloud so spend my iCloud storage plan.

    Thank you!

    Yes.

Photos will download the library once again, because it cannot be sure that the library has moved is completely identical.  It is downloaded again and check for duplicates. Once the download is complete, you use more storage than before iCloud, but it will take a lot of time.

But it shouldn't be necessary to upgrade the storage plan. You should be able to demote him again as soon as the download is complete.

What I do, when I want to move the library to a new location is to create a new empty library on the new drive and then turn on the library empty as the iCloud photo library. The library will be downloaded icloud in the empty library instead of download. It's faster and avoid the prompt to upgrade storage iCloud. But the drawback is that I need to name all the faces again, given that the faces does not synchronize to iCloud. And the projects will be missing.  I'm keeping a copy of the original library in the new location, so I can use old projects and can find faces in the event of doubt about a name.

  • Ghost icons

    Mini iPad IOS 9,31

I have a "Ghost" icon (library of Panasonic). Not sure why there is a problem in the first place, although the Apple software updated recently, so maybe it's the first cause.

    I tried the following

Hot and cold reboot with or without icon WiFi remains

Cannot delete as usual (highlight and press on delete) icon icon rest

Icon can be removed from the list of applications in the settings

I tried to reinstall it from App Store (open pressed) nothing happens.

    All ideas

Not clear what you mean by hot and cold reboot. Have you tried a forced reboot? Hold down the home and Sleep/Wake buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds , until the Apple logo appears. Then sign out of the iTunes Store and reconnect.

If that doesn't help, try a system restore.

First save your device via iTunes. Import your photos on your computer, and then copy all the important data. Try to restore as new first and test IT. If it's back to normal try restore the backup, however if the backup is corrupt and returns the question, you would have to restore like new again and reconfigure from scratch. It is important to have your photos and your saved data separately from the backup.

    1. the solution for not losing things is to always have good backups - if you have one, you're sure to lose sooner or later things

    2. to move to a new computer, drag the library into the folder on the new computer and launch Photos - it will open and convert the library as needed - if for reason that it not just drag the Photos icon library in the dock

  • Glyph library

My icons and folders are where they are supposed to be.  However, now when I try to change my icons VI editor shows only a white tree.  I think I deleted a XML file which is supposed to be there.

When I tried to sync automatically and manually without any result.  How is - a rebuild the XML file?  Or is there some other suggestions abuot this?

    Thank you

    Mark

    Mark,

Extraction of the screenshots that I have attached to this message. "Those named 'sync_auto.png' and 'sync_auto_done.png' are what happens when I click on Tools" synchronize with ni.com icon library of the dialog icon editor. When you try to synchronize automatically don't you see the screen "sync_auto.png"?

The image "sync_manual.png", this is what happens when I disconnect my PC from the network and cause failure of the automatic connection. When I plug the .zip and .xml files and click OK I see nothing happen. I consider further this issue to see what can happen.

I also tried adding my own .png for icon editor and was able to add them to a folder in the directory Data\Glyphs of LabVIEW and glyph directory itself. This enabled them appears in the icon editor library. Is the kind of "directory synchronization" you were looking for?

There is a patch for icon editoron our communities. I also found a CAR (182803 to request corrective measures) which signals the glyphs with 35 + character filenames hang LabVIEW, but I don't think that is what is happening here.

  • Frustrations of glyph of the Icon Editor

This started happening only today when I go to change the icons of my screws I click on the glyphs tab and go to choose a glyph. However, when I click on the glyph (favorite new Word) it sends me to an another icon editor in which he sent me here. I think I have an option enabled, causing my clicking the glyph to not be in his 'Default' mode. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    Thank you!

Its a known issue.  LabVIEW to restart and it should dissipate.  If this does not work you probably moved the xml file and or zip you to synchronize the glyphs to the art of the icon library.  Put them back where they were, and you'll be golden.
