  The program may not have been built to automatically add a desktop icon.  To find it, try to open the start menu and in the search box, type "Pinyin".

I was going through various forums and found that many users have this kind of problem caused mainly by Google related products say video accelerator google, Google Talk Activex Addin, google talk.
