  I noticed that when I updated some CS to CS6 files, Indesign has started to crash very often. It happens when I try to move some executives.

  This problem may occur by corrupt icon cache. To solve the problem, please rebuild the icon cache.

  1. click the buttonStart , then click computer .

  2. inthe toolbar, click organize , and then choose folder and Search Options .

  3. click on the tabdisplay , check to select the Show hidden files and folders option and clickOK .

  4. then enter the following directory:

  %UserProfile%\AppData\Local

  5 find theIconCache.db file and rename it as IconCache.db.old.

  6. close the window and restart the computer.

  To get small icons in your Start menu

  Click Start on the taskbar, and then select Properties from the context menu.
  Ensure that the selected option of Start Menu as ist and click Customize to the right of the Start Menu option.
  This will display the Customize Start Menu dialog box.
  Use the Option Select an icon of Sice to Programms and now select small icons

  To configure your display appearance, wants to get small icons on your desktop

  Right click on an open area of the desktop and select Properties.
  Click the appearance tab.
  Click on 'effects' (in my Version of XP in German), perhaps you will need to click on Advanced.

  In my XP there is a "huge symbols" choice, if you have this choice, remove the hook.

  I hope someone can help! I am trying to print a 24-page booklet using 2 - up perfect bound with the signature value 4. In the preview in InDesign and when I printed out to test the two first pages are missing. It seems at least one of the pages is actually a page on too, but it's difficult to work on the preview.   Firefox fits Windows themes 'High contrast' differently from other browsers. You can switch to always using styles page, if you wish, even with a high contrast theme. You'd do that here:

  "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > content

  Click colors, and then change the 'ignore colors specified on the page with my selections above' menu drop down to never and OK outside. Pages should appear by using the styles specified by the site.

  That solve this problem, for the most part? There could still be some differences that remain, but that should help you get started.

  Try to use the salvation of three fingers (C-A-D, Ctrl + Alt + Delete) to bring up the task
  Manager - then click on file > new task (run...)
  type
  SOLUTION EXPLORER. EXE
  and see what happens - so try a system restore to a working system.
