IdeaPad U310 Touch one finger scrolling

Hello

I finally decided to upgrade my old Ideapad Y550 of 4 years and I'm pretty happy with my U310 so far. One thing I would change however, the habit of a scroll using my Y550 finger and I would have this return. Is it possible in the U310 to display of a finger to scroll with two fingers to scroll?

Thank you!

Hi Kaldr,

Can you try to update the driver for the Synaptics Touchpad for v16.3.15.1.

The previous driver allowed to edge scrolling, but the latest version doesn't have the capability. I understand for those upgrading to Windows 8 with affect capacity screen isn't a problem, but what of us who do not have touch screen. In my opinion, this is a major flaw. Please, let me hear you train you if you're too unhappy with the new driver for touchpad of Windows 8. Also, I tried to back the driver, but the previous driver causes serious erratic behavior. Here is a screenshot of the version of the latest Windows 8 tablet driver.

This problem occurs on Windows 8.1

    Try this:

    (1) go to c:\program files\DellTPad\

    (2) in this directory I

    (a) DellTouchpad.exe: this is the called application of the control panel which you published the photo.

    (b) utility DellTPad.exe other setting touchpad. At the launch of this I have this option (English translation) 'a finger actions/multi-doigts of shares', and then it allows you to establish one finger vertical/horizontal scrolling.

also will not save settings after restart.

UPD: I discovered that my touchpad doesn't support 2 + finger touch.

I installed an old driver synaptics. now a finger scrolling works very well. but you know... No tap/rightclick 2 fingers... I didn't know this touchpad so badly.

What happens if you use old driver for Win 7? Not sure what exact model you have: http://support.hp.com/ee-en/drivers/selfservice/identify?q=dv7-3135&tool=s-002#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930O2

Of course, you must also disable automatic driver update.

  • Changing two-finger scrolling to scroll one finger

Help!  I bought a HP Pavilion dv7t - 6 00 CTO a few months ago.  I was totally disappointed when I discovered that I had to do this scroll two fingers for up/down and left/right movement of the cursor.  But then, after a few weeks, I found out how to change it to a scroll one finger on the right side for up/down scrolling and scrolling with a finger along the lower part of the scroll left/right key.  Well, something happened and my laptop is back to the method of two fingers, AND I IMPOSSIBLE for the life of remember me how I made this change to a finger to scroll.  Someone out there must know where the parameter is or how to go about this... I hope!

    Thank you!

  • The touchpad on my IdeaPad U310 features does not work

I had a problem with my IdeaPad U310 for a while now (about a year), the problem is the touchpad, it works all the time, but the touchpad features, such as scrolling and two-finger like that, stop work whenever I open a Microsoft Office program.

It works fine once again when the computer has been restarted, but as soon as a Microsoft program was open the problem once again.

I tried to solve it as described under the heading: "IdeaPad U310, U410, U510 - Touchpad no longer when you use Microsoft Office", but the problem is the same.

    Can someone help me?

    Hi nannaboye,

    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.

If you have tried the solution in this article, you can try the Synaptics driver directly on the site of Synaptics.

  • Gesture with one finger touchmouse does not respond correctly

My fingers touchmouse gestures work ok, except for the gesture with one finger :( It does not at all on the desktop. It scrolls only of up and down a Web page, or when I'm in a window. It does not navigate to other directions with one finger.

  • Satellite Pro L850 - Synaptics finger scroll

I would have preferred a finger scrolling along the right and below of the touchpad (as my old Toshiba Satellite) but this Satellite Pro L850 1MJ has two fingers to scroll in the middle of the touchpad that is counterintuitive (push up to scroll to the bottom) and more importantly means that I have to hold my hand in a position that kills my wrist.

If I go into the settings of the mouse, I can pass various options "multi-finger" two-finger scrolling and there is a separate option "scrolls" - on / off if I check the box on I get a graphic demonstration of scrolling with a finger, but it does not actually turn on scrolling with a finger.

Can I get a finger scrolling on this laptop? If so, how?

'Settings' tell me I have v7.5 Synaptics TouchPad on PS/2 Port and v16.2.10.3 14 Aug 12 Synaptics pointing device

All the responses received with gratitude, preferably before my wrist decreases!

    Elaine

I don't know what version and settings you have but if synaptic settings on your machine it looks like this that do not use two fingers to scroll and activate the scroll option.
Click on this option and the animation, you will see how it works.

  • Keys FN + F2... F12, two finger scroll not working not Portege z830-10 q

    Hello

I just bought a Portege z830-10 q, and there are a few items that do not work.

FN + F2 to F12 shortcut keys don't really work, or any other nice combination of FN + SPACEBAR, etc., is not the button to disable the touchpad below the space bar.

Also, I can't get the function two finger scrolling works.
Interestingly, the FN + ESC and FN + F1 to work.

I saw something in a previous comment on flashcards, I checked that and tried to play with the settings, but they don't seem to work either.

Don't know if I need t download no additional driver.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Hello

I assume you are using Win 7. Is this good?

In this case I recommend to uninstall the first added value package.
Then download the VAP driver Toshiba UE page and install the new.
You may need to reboot several times the system after removing the VAP.
Value added package contains a few essential tools that are in charge of mobile extra features like for example FN button feature.

By the way: the two fingers scrolling option must be checked in the control panel-> mouse-> last tab-> Advanced Settings button
You will find all the options of touchpad.

  • IdeaPad S500 Touch - screen goes black after driver update

I have a Lenovo IdeaPad S500 Touch. It is running the latest update of Windows 8.1. He proposed an update of the video driver from Lenovo. After downloading and installing the update, the screen went black. When the computer reboots, the Lenovo logo appears on the screen, and it goes black again. No matter what I try, that's all.

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

    Thank you

    James

    Hi Scoutmaster316,

Welcome to the Community Forums of Lenovo!

You will need to restart the system in safe mode.

There is the only option to boot your situation is down to the system startup

When you turn on the system, Lenovo Logo appears then black screen maybe wait a minute hold it the power button down until the accident it you must reapeat this 4-5 times until it starts to a page like this

Once you have got to follow these choices that

Troubleshooting / Advanced Option / start parameters

Then you should rerach options with, select Safe mode which.

If the driver is the problem, you should be able to start here,

Open the Device Manager and rollback video driver

  • Lenovo Ideapad S400 Touch screen problem.

Original title: Lenovo Ideapad Touch - Touch Ghost S400

    Hi all

I'm tapped with continuous tapping of the touch screen of my laptop, even if no one is in contact with it.

This often happens when I use the touch screen or leave my laptop on for too long. I tried to disable and uninstall the drivers for the touchscreen device but it keeps appearing whenever I start my PC in Device Manager.

Someone knows how to fix this? I've already sent this unit to the service center, but the problem persists.

    Hi Vlad,

    Thanks for the reply.

The problem persists even after installing new drivers and calibration of the touch settings, this could be a problem with the hardware. I suggest you to contact the Lenovo Support for assistance on this issue.

  • Touch screen of scrolling fingers to the iPhone

I'm developing a simple kiosk application to be used by customers in a store. The input method is a thouch screen. The app will have a JTable (or another object showing multiple records) within a get. Now, since most of the people are now used to scrolling with their finger on the object instead of using the scroll bars in a touchscreen device, I was wondering if I could develop this behavior in the application.

Is that what I can do with these objects? Are there other objects Part 3 introduce this feature?

First of all, you must confirm if taps and drags on the touch screen to generate the corresponding mouse events. If this is the case, you could leverage a MouseListener and MouseMotionListener for scrolling of the window display.
