If I chose my iphone to backup to the cloud and the wifi when charging. This will be done with the smart case tied as he is still technically in charge?

The smart case means that my iphone is being backed up to the cloud 24/7?

I don't think so, I think that the Smart case gives you just the biggest autonomy.

I use my iPhone 6 very often to my office for phone calls.  This is my work phone.

This will help life battery together if I keep the phone plugged in my phone calls?

    Thank you

SUSE, you can use it while connected and in this way when you unplug to get somewhere, you know you will have a fully updated beautiful upgraded battery.

Just don't leave it plugged constantly all the time — weeks or months.  A battery lithium needs periodically some running through it.  But certainly leave it plugged during the day of the company while using it, or even just for long calls will do no harm.

Battery life is determined by the cycles, so if this reduces the rate of your phone through equivalent full charge and discharge cycles it can not hurt self-help (depending on how you use it, it cannot help battery life much either, but it probably won't hurt it).

  • iTunes for iPad and iPhone PC backups 12.3 disappeared

I am running Windows 10 and iTunes 12.3 and have several previous backups of iPhones and iPads, with which I've never had a problem (well, there is always a problem, but not this one). Now iTunes can't find backups. They are in the folder C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup (about 10 of them), but the iTunes preferences > devices shows no backup on this computer. Why does iTunes pick this up? And why I can't navigate for them? (Duh... iTunes does not allow to browse your computer for backups. It's only for 12 years).

In addition, I did a backup of my computer, and the 'Back Up Now' and 'Restore backup' grayed out and the ' last backup: "said"your iPad has ever been saved on this computer. The backup is displayed in the folder above subsequently, but it does not save iTunes. I closed iTunes and rebooted. Still no backup device in the devices. And he always says "your iPad has never been saved on this computer", but it is nice enough to ask me if I want to make a backup. NO! I DON'T WANT TO MAKE A BACKUP! I JUST want TO HAVE ACCESS to THAT I just HAVE to!

I got since 4 iPhones and iTunes since the same time, and I've done several times. There has ALWAYS been some kind of problem. I've always hated this program, but you need if you want to get your Apple devices on your computer.

I think that iTunes would let you to browse for a backup. I use this program because I have to. Apple backups aren't really backups. iTunes backup of the operating system and applications (not all), but that's all. For me the backup is just that: a BACKUP. This means I save all THE data (or at least what I chose).

Whenever I have back up and restore my Apple devices, I make sure that I export all data from all applications (in other words, if they allow it even and not more) or I have to re - download all my data or books, songs, PDF files and whether, from the original place where I have purchased or downloaded. That means free books don't get supported.

I'm aware that I'm ranting, but I've always been frustrated by iTunes, because she is very small and has always been problematic. It is designed only to "purchases" commercial from Apple or other (perhaps) or for other commercial stuff, but never for your own personal use and I have a lot of personal data on my devices. iTunes DOESN'T backup the personal data. Of course, the program is free and a better program costs money, but even Windows provides a method for backing up my computer and I can back up everything of him, not only what Apple thinks is necessary.

If they have backed up everything on your backup device would take ages - I have a 128 GB iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad mini - cannot afford to have three back ups of around this waist sitting on my PC.  Regarding the Apps it back to the top of such things when you are in a game and your scores, but not the actual application (I noticed when I got my last iPhone Apps that worked on that I had and put back them on the camera, but they picked up my library, not from the back to the top).

You're not back up your iTunes library on the computer to make it there if necessary?  I do not use the cloud at all, I am doing everything via my PC (and have my laptop set in place with the same data backup in case of failure of the computer).  As we don't always have access to be able to download things if a device does not work (when ago far often data signal is very weak) I have never counted on the cloud even though I know that it suits a lot of people to use it.  Once the data is on my PC I have backup on an external hard drive.

By doing this you don't have to re - download anything, you simply drag and drop the back on your device.

Can't help with the unavailability of your inverter, but have you rebooted the iPad as it seems that your computer is not recognized among you have used before?

  • iPhone restore backup encryption bug in iTunes

First the details of my system:

    El Capitan 10.11.6

    iPhone iOS 6 10.0.2

    iTunes 12.5.1.21

    Steps to reproduce:

1 backup the by using the encrypted password (current running iOS 10) iPhone

    2. once the backup is complete change password encrypted from A to B

    3. restore the iPhone using the backup.

The backup cannot be restored with A password or password B.

I think that most people would say I forgot the password B. You would be a mistake. Password B was stored in my keychain and it wouldn't work. To check that I had the correct password, I downloaded a password free utility cracking. For some reason, these utilities are available for Windows only. I used the utility of tenorshare. Since I was sure I knew the password, I used boxes of prefix and suffix of the utility to verify that the password is correct. The utility shows you only the first 2 characters of your password once he finds her. Since I am sure that I knew the password, I put the first 7 characters of the password in the prefix box password and he assumes that the last of them (which I knew that). Then I put the first 6 characters of the password in the prefix area of password and the last character in the zone suffix and guess the second to the last character (which I knew that too). In both cases, he finds the password, which confirmed that all my characters were correct, but iTunes would not accept. At this point, I was convinced this is an Apple bug, so I googled some more and found this blog https://deciphertools.com/blog/ios-10-backup-password-incorrect/ which confirms:

"If you recently changed your password backup in iTunes, and iTunes is now reports that 'the password was incorrect' when you try to restore this backup, then we may be able to help."

There is a small problem affecting backups iOS 10 - sometimes changing password causes backup the password being rejected (both new and old passwords) when you try to use the backup that you did. »

I was able to solve my problem of password associated with the procedure.

My backup was too important to wait for a solution possible iTunes. Apple should recognize this problem and have a fix as soon as POSSIBLE.

  • iPhone 7 tones don't synchronize from a backup of the iPhone 6

I've just updated to iphone 7 + a 6. I got ringtones on my iPhone for the years I've done previously. But now I can't have them on the new 7 +. I made a backup of the 6, but they did not transfer. When I plug the 6 I see them in "ringtones" in iTunes, but I can't bring it to drag-and - drop or move anywhere in a library in iTunes to put them on the 7 +. I'm really frustrated! • Problem with the new iPhone - iOS bad for the backup in the cloud

Today, I received my new 6 iPhone.  When I try to configure the phone and download all my info to the cloud backup, I get an error message that says new phone is iOS 9.1 - backups from the old phone 6 (no longer works) are iOS 9.3.1 - so I'm stuck.  Happy to upgrade the software, but...

I cannot go forward, and I'm nervous about losing all my data/images, if I choose 'NEW PHONE'

Help, please.  I've been without my iPhone since Sunday... was so excited when it arrived today... now I'm going to lose my mind!

    Kim

Set up as a new phone. Do not restore the backup. Then update to iOS. After the update, delete it (settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings.) After the erase operation, restore the backup to iCloud.

You cannot restore a backup made with a new version of the iOS on a device that is running an earlier version.

  • Is it possible no pictures of backup in a backup of the iPhone?

My photos are already stored on my iCloud account, so I don't think I need to save it with my backups of the iPhone. This will save space on my hard drive, because my device is locked and iCloud backups are not allowed. Is it possible not to store everything on my camera, which I prefer not to "waste" space on my hard drive, backup of my photos.

According to the safeguards in iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support, photos are not included in backups, if they are already stored in iCloud, in my photo stream or iCloud photo library.

This is not the latest version of iTunes, you need for the latest version of iOS. Here are the requirements of Mac for the latest version of iTunes, 12.3.2.

    Mac system requirements

    Material:

    • Equipped Mac to an Intel computer
    • To play videos HD 720 p, an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras, a 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor is required
    • To play HD 1080 p video, a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor and 2 GB of RAM is required
    • 1024 x 768 or higher screen resolution; 1280 x 800 or greater is required to play an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras
    • Internet connection broadband to use music from Apple, the iTunes Store and iTunes Extras

    Software:

    • OS X version 10.8.5 or later, Apple music requires OS X version 10.9.5 or later
    • 400 MB of available disk space

    • iTunes Extras requires OS X version 10.10.3 or later
  • Cannot restore the backup of the iPhone

I just did a DFU restore on my iPhone 5s. I am running Windows 7. I have created a complete PC Backup in iTunes that is listed in the devices list in the preferences.  When I try to restore this backup on the restored phone, that the backup is not available in the drop-down menu of the backups.  Only my iPad is here.  I think that remember me something related to the backup that was created with an older version of iOS.  The phone 9.2, I think it was an upgrade after the DFU.  My iPad has 9.2.1 and I thought they were on the same version.  Anyway, how to restore the backup that is listed in the devices?  I have not either a backup for this phone.  I have to downgrade the phone to the previous version of iOS?  This seems strange to me.  Or maybe that I have to get the phone on instead of 9.2 9.2.1?  Any suggestion would be appreciated.  Thank you.

As far as I know, iOS 9.2.1 is a beta, so maybe it's the cause.

BTW, discuss software in beta on a public forum is not a good idea.

  • Backup iPhone to iTunes for the first time?

    Hello.

My mother-in-law has a new iPhone (6) and want to upgrade its old 4S for this.  She backed it up to iCloud, but not iTunes - it doesn't have a PC / laptop.  The new phone has been restore cloud backup now for nearly 12 hours (despite the "remaining time" not having never been above 55 minutes... it is increased slowly for 1 minute all day!) and the progress bar has slowed to a standstill.  However the thing spinning in the top status bar is still in progress, making me think they fade slowly somewhere...

I have my MBP here, with my own library on it (library of songs k 25, several hundreds of applications, films etc.) and of course my own photo library iCloud etc.  Can I connect the phone, save it and then restore the backup to the new phone that?  Is it possible because iTunes library has nothing to do with the phone I'll have saved?  She'll want to transfer purchases etc. If no good...

    Thank you.

  • I am backing up my new iphone more than 6 s. It won't let me select any backup, indicating there is no backup that is compatible with the IOS 9.0.2 version. The backup is the IOS 9.2 (which is the latest version on my iphone 4S).

I'm trying to set up my new iPhone more than 6 s. When I get to the backup process, he does allow you to choose a backup. He says, there is no backup that is compatible with the version of IOS 9.0.2. The last backup is my iPhone 4S (IOS 9.2).

If the backup of the iPhone 4S has been with iOS 9.2, then you will need to update the new 6sPlus iPhone is iOS 9.0.2. You can use an old backup iOS on a recent iOS phone, but not the reverse. Set up the 6sPlus of the iPhone as a new device, and then update the iOS to the 9.2. After that, go to settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings. That will bring the Wizard Setup again and you will be able to restore your backup iOS iPhone 4S 9.2.

  • I am concerned about the use of the data necessary to ensure backing up my iPhone, the iPad and the powermac cloud. We are on a 20 GB/month plan with our internet provider and had $50 in excess costs last month due to the clouds to backup my phone and IP

Help! I'm on a limited data plan (20 GB/month) and had $50 in excess charges the month last because of the iCloud backup my iPhone and my iPad from one day to the next. This consumed approximately 15 GB backup overnight. Is it possible to program these backups, so I'm not on my data allowance? And what is the average amount of data usage when the cloud goes back a device? This amount seems extreme to me. Please help if you can, thanks!

  • Image of the iPhone 5 backup or to remove problems

    Hello

I have an Iphone 5 and since last week, I have a few problems with the camera and Images App. Like this, it happens that whenever I click on a photo is available for immediate viewing, but when I leave the camera app and enter the photos App, the Photo Clicked do not seem to appear. I had checked in all folders. The next thing is that when I want to delete some old images, I can remove it but then he again returns to Mode selection of Images, the sign of 'Cancel' is grey and is not available to be used in this situation. So, when I leave the pictures App and still re enter the deleted Photos still appear in the Foled Images as if they were NEVER EVER DELETED. Please help for this situation.

    Thank you and good day!

    Hey c of Denver.

Welcome to the communities of Apple Support! It seems that you are having problems with your Photos app? You should check the preferences of Photos by clicking on settings > Photos & camera on your device. Here you can check if iCloud photo library and my photo stream are enabled. If they are, we know that your photos are backed up safely in iCloud. You should check to make sure all your photos are here. To remove permanently some old images see the steps below.

You can remove items from your device until the 30 days have passed. On your device iOS, in the album recently deleted, press Select, select one or multiple items, press on delete, and then press Delete [elements].
