  If you have saved using iCloud instead of iTunes, you must restore via iCloud and not through iTunes.

  You need to take it to an Apple Store with a dated receipt to prove that you are the original owner/purchaser. It's possible Apple may be able to release the lock. We can not help you with it.

Now, I deleted the work address and I tried to add my gmail as a secondary email address, but I get the message that this gmail address is associated with a different appleID and I can't use it in this one. I didn't even got another apple somewhere ID. I guess that I created in the past and never used.

  So I tried to log on iCloud with the apple ID gmail, but it is not possible that this account has not been created on any of my devices. Is it possible to get rid of this apple ID and add the primary gmail on my apple ID address? Recovery email will be sent to this address, so I would like an address there that I have access to.

  You cannot delete Apple ID. If you cannot use your gmail address use a different address or an alias of that address.
