If I go to safe mode to try to remove the bugs on my PC it affect anything on my normal CCP?

It removes anything from my computer? Software, applications, images, documents?

Hello

Safe mode is that your computer from fewer Services running; Sound, graphics drivers top of range, etc, etc is not used and is normally used only for work on your computer when you have problems by doing the work in Normal Mode.

If you do not delete the photos, documents, etc. in Safe Mode, they should not be removed when you return to the Normal Mode.

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-is-safe-mode

"What is safe mode?"

Safe mode is an option of troubleshooting for Windows that starts your computer in a limited State. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started. The words "Safe Mode" appear in the corners of the display to identify which Windows mode you are using. If a problem does not reappear when you start in safe mode, you can eliminate the default settings and basic as possible cause device drivers.

If you don't know the cause of the problem, you can use the process of elimination to help find the problem. Try to start all programs you commonly use, including the programs in your startup folder, one by one, to see if a program can be the cause of the problem.

If your computer automatically starts in safe mode without prompting, a problem with your computer can prevent Windows to start normally. If you think that the cause of the problem might be a recently installed program or device, try to use the system restore. For more information

  • Having a problem installing a program. Get the BSOD. Can I try to install in safe mode or in execution of the order?

    Hello.

For the product that I use, I posted something on the forum of manufacturers. But I have a few questions here, too. It's for video editing.

I am trying to install a program. He's older, but it does not work with XP (it was pretty well designed for this). He gets by about 75% of the download, says something about the cleaning of the registry, and I get a BSOD.

I have the latest drivers for the motherboard. I can't install the update of the program until it is installed.

Can I try to install a dvd in safe mode or through the run command and perhaps get a better result? Or in the back? How can I do this?

    Thank you.

    It works now.

I have installed directx 10/11 from the dvd - rom of the graphics card. It updated some files. It is XP, and I think that it does only have directx 9. I looked in the term - dxdiag.exe and it says a version 9. Still not working, but has helped.

I installed the drivers from the cards dvd image. Initially, I took this one from microsoft update. The new graphics card driver seems to have caused conflicts. It is installed.

  • Since the update of FF 8/9, many Web sites does not, even in safe mode. Any idea what the problem might be?

All sites worked fine before v8.0 and 9.0. But now many sites (for example, newegg.com & baltimoresun.com) won't load. I hit the button reload several times before that something appears on the screen at all. I tried safe mode - no help. I disabled javascript, which helped some, but does not cure the problem, since even with him off a few sites still never finish loading. I've also disabled IPv6 and DNS Prefetching and emptied the cache, all to nothing does not. He seems to graphics that are not loading. Someone has an idea what is the question? I swear that I'm ready to switch to Chrome or Solaris, if I can't solve this problem. It's incredibly frustrating.

Well, the problem was caused by the upgrade to v8.0 corrupt something in my profile. Create a new profile loading problem disappear, this is the fix for this particular problem. Significant pain for sure, since the creation of a profile "duplicate" isn't a very elegant process in FF.

WARNING: If you try this fix, be sure to first make a backup of your current profile. (When I deleted my original profile in the Profile Manager, it also - incredibly - deleted the files that I had copied to my new profile.) Any thoughts on that, dev team?)

Safe mode is not likely to help, and system restore.

Your user profile is probably damaged and that Windows has created a new profile for you.  If you are looking into 'My Documents' or 'My images', your old files won't be there - they are in the old profile.  Do a search for your files.  If you find them, you can copy the entire profile.  See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811151

Or you can simply copy the desired specific files/folders.  You may need to 'own' the files to gain access to their--> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421

  • Why I can boot into safe mode with internet connection, use the operating system, etc., but can not open a normal session without password administrator; who got the disabled.

OEM Vista Home Premium. Normal startup does not recognize the password. When you click User icon it says: "your account has been disabled. Please, see your system administrator"I looked in the mirror, but it did not help. Booted, press F8, went in safe mode with network connection. Everything seemed to be there. Surf the internet and then started to ask me why I don't have a password here when I did normal start-up. What is the password? Check "Microsoft Answers", but what I came out which was, I need to reinstall the OS, which I can't do it without a drive anyway.  I thought that I've used it before, I knew the password. This computer has been recently "reinstalled" internal folder 'restore '. Something must happen. A unknown password can be removed from safe mode? Ultimately how reinstall you a clean Vista when all you have is the key to product and no local or OEM support? What would be the difference between a password reset disk and the OS disk.  The two would probably be stored side by side. Not to mention that most of us Dummies want to just surf to buy, and if we can not surf, we cannot buy. Dummies help us get back on the internet, Microsoft. At least take care of this shot.

    Hi PAM,.

In Safe Mode, try to activate the high administrator account http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/enable-the-hidden-administrator-account-on-windows-vista/.  Then log in using account and use it to solve problems with your normal administrator account login via control panel / user accounts / manage other accounts.  Find the one you want and make the appropriate changes to fix it.  If you can't, then you need to address as a corrupt account by using the following procedure:

To fix this use http://windows.microsoft.com/en-AU/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile.  If this is the only available administrator profile (you must be an administrator to solve this problem), activate the hidden administrator account (HAA) (i.e. what you did above, or you can do this by using these instructions instead: http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9001970/How_to_access_the_true_Administrator_account_in_Windows_Vista?taxonomyId=17&pageNumber=1.)

Once that is done, don't forget to disable the HAA to save it in case it is necessary once again and for safety reasons (since people often try to hack into systems using this account).  Do NOT use the HAA as your administrator account because if you lose the only administrator on the system account or it is damaged again, then you're watered.

The fact that it says it is disabled gives me to think that you can use the guest or built-in Administrator account already (as normally, you cannot disable an account, but you can with these two which cannot be deleted and only disabled).

The password reset disk is only good if created before that you need and only to restore a password, do not to activate a disabled account.  Another thing that goes beyond passwords here.

A recovery disk allows you to do some advanced options of recovery by booting the disk, but it will help you restore the operating system (or help you with this problem either).

An Installation of Vista genuinve disc (the operating system drive as you seem to be describing) is a disk that contains the operating system.  That, if it is the original disc supplied with the system and is exactly the same as the product OEM key that you must allow you to do a clean OS install (although I would be first backup you'll pretty much lost everything in the process).  The following should help: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-vista.html.

If you have a factory Conditions or a recovery Partition restore disk, then these are alternatives to a clean install if you don't have this disc.  But the procedure varies according to the manufacturer, make and model of PC.  Most of the manufacturers will allow you to buy these records of restoration (for a fee) If you cannot do it with a recovery Partition cannot create diskettes from the recovery Partition or have no other option.  Visit the support site of the computer for information on this topic, available options, and related costs.

If you cannot enable the built-in Administrator account and cannot access the system in normal mode with this or another administrator account, then I'm afraid a clean install or restore to factory conditions is your only option.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • I have to use Safe Mode to make changes to the Options since update to 4.0.1

Since the installation of 3.7.16 4.0.1, I noticed all of the checkmarks Options are missing, and the only one it seems to change the settings of the Options is to use the Safe Mode, where the check marks become visible. The same thing happens in the preferences of some of the Add-ons as well. I imagine some sort of Config. problem. Feedback to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated. Although version 4 is faster it already miss the old version which worked without major bugs and am seriously thinking to install the old version or change your browser.

    b. place a checkmark on "System error memory dump files"
