If I import to FF to IE Favorites, will they be copied or moved? I would have preferred that they be copied.

I would have chosen IE bookmarks to import into FF. I use FF but my husband use IE, so I don't want outsiders removed from IE, just copied from IE. Is this possible?

Thanks, Twinkie3

They will be copied only. All IE favorites remain in IE.

  • Import an address book from .csv will not work

I just changed from XP to Ubuntu and have saved my Outlook Express address book to a .csv on a USB flash drive file. I open Thunderbird and imported the file according to the different screens and although Thunderbird says it's successful, when I select the address book, it is empty as well as the default personal address book. Can anyone help please.

The choice referred to as view/display as long as are first name, full name name. If the imported address book contained only in the field of the display (which is usually first + last), address book appears empty if display/display name as is not set display name.

If the menu bar is hidden, you can also right click on the toolbar and select the menu bar.

The easy way to transfer to OE/XP TB/Ubuntu would have been to install TB on the XP computer, make automatic importation of OE, then copy the TB profile from XP to Ubuntu. But if you have even the XP computer or the partition, you will always find may be easier to export from OE messages to eml files and import those TB, rather than convert dbx in a format compatible with TB files.

Start the OS X App Store, then click on the item toolbar updates. V5.6.1 pages should be available, and this will open documents Pages ' 09, ' 08 and ' 06. In messages to this community, you should always share what version specific pages and OS X that you are currently using.

  • I am no longer able to synchronize my favorites because they duplicate continuously.

I am running Firefox with Sync on 3 different machines. No longer can I synchronize my favorites because they duplicate continuously. It has gotten to the point where my browser was unusable. I already reinstalled on machines with a fresh profile and thought I'd be OK synchronize my bookmarks once again, but when I logged in this morning my favorites were duplicated again, at least 3 times. Fortunately this time I was able to delete bookmarks sync and delete the extras without having to blow up, but I would really like to be able to keep my favorites synced again.

Please do not use iCloud [or any other 'sync' - type service] for bookmarks, as well as using Sync. Known to cause compatibility problems and will solve nothing. It is only likely to exacerbate the problem.

To start from scratch on all devices and do not erase data corrupted since the right synchronization server "synchronizes" data corrupted for all your devices everywhere again. The underlying cause must be fixed.

To correct this situation. 1 turn off sync on all devices until all devices are fixed. 2. run Places maintenance on all devices, to make a correction to the database of places of each device, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/places-maintenance/ 3. Change your password for the account of Firefox (sync) to clear corrupted since the synchronization server data. 4. then connect the first device "desktop" on the sync server and leave the device to stay in touch with synchronization for an extended period (IOW, keep Firefox on this device running for a long time). 5. the next connect the device "Office" 2nd timing and let a performer for an extended period. Make sure that your bookmarks are synchronize correctly and you're not losing any of them or see them getting damaged in any way prior to additional devices.

  • A new favorite could not be saved because no actions supported have been recorded

    Windows 7 64-bit / audition CS6

I am trying to record a favorite: Effects-> Diagnostics-> delete Silence (with my personal Setup to remove the gaps of silence)

but when I stop recording the favorite I get the message: "a new favorite could not be saved because no actions supported have been saved."

Is delete action not supported in hearing CS6 Silence?

What could be the reason for the problem?

I think you will find that the only effects are supported at the moment in the Favorites folder. Basic commands seem not to be.

  • How can I get Firefox to import ALL my Internet Explorer Favorites?

I recently installed Firefox on my Windows XP Home edition, to replace IE. During installation, Firefox automatically put a dialog box offering to import all my favorites (Favorites, that is) of IE, and I agreed. The resulting page has confirmed that my favorites had been imported. However, looking at the list of bookmarks 'Imported EI', I saw that the main headings of favorite had been imported in alphabetical order - which is fine - but the import stopped at the letter S. This means that some important main favorite sections (e.g.: 'journey') had not been imported.

Then, I went to your pages of tutorial and followed the instructions for "Personal import" of other browsers, simply asking some bookmarks to import of IE. What happened that was once more, imported only FF titles favorite until s. initial (and now, in addition, all those imported were copies of those already imported to the implementation). Could you tell me, please, what should I do to get the complete list of imported IE Favorites?

    Thank you very much.

    Ian Stewart

    1. Remove duplicate in the Library bookmarks (press Ctrl + Shift + B to open it).
    2. In Internet Explorer, export your Favorites to HTML.
    3. In Firefox, import bookmarks into the HTML file.
  • Why do I only half of my IE favorites when they are imported into Firefox?

  • I need to know, in a very simple language, how to import my entire list of "Favorites"

I have recently switched to firefox but do not have access to my list of Favorites-I can access only a portion of about 10 or 15 first I need the WHOLE list please

Incomplete import sometimes (example of the ongoing thread: only 1/3 of my bookmarks imported from IE.) How can I move the rest?). Could be linked to the number/depth records, but I'm not sure if someone has finally identified the cause.

For best results, export of IE to an intermediate file, which is in HTML format. Then import this file into Firefox. This will be a folder in the bookmarks Menu, and you can use the dialog box Organizer/library to reorganize the way you want.

The following pages give the steps:

    Success?
