Illustrator aligns with the pixel & changes the path?

I work with paths are for some reason strange and annoying, snaps to the pixel grid. I have even the 'Snap to Pixel' off and the traces are changed by the Illustrator so they dynamic enters the pixel grid. I've never experienced this before where illustrator actuall moving anchor points where he wants. Here is an example of what is going on (this happens in the raster preview and normal preview):

Here is a vector path on a grid created to show where the pixels are:

preview_02469.png

I select the object swap FILLING in the RACE and immediately you can see that illustrator changed the location of the paths:

preview_02470.png

I share the RACE to FILL and it alters the paths still more!

Here's another example:

The paths are not clearly aligned with the pixel grid, but illustrator is trying everything possible to make the line of pixels to the top. (This image has "Quick align inside" and is previewing rasterized).

preview_02467.png

Same thing but pixel not preview. Super weird behavior:

preview_02466.png

Will there be some sort of setting in the preferences of masters that is causing this behavior? I did this wink on the grid and snap to pixel is turned off and rest nothing will do. Anyone encountered this?

Thank you!

I'm assuming that CS5 because you are talking to match the pixel grid. Is this correct?

Possible bug, but...

I can easily reproduce this problem with a small graphic and align on grid of pixels. If I disable snap to grid of pixels (in the transformation Panel) the problem disappears.

Note there must be a very small chart for the question to stand.

Are you sure you want to align the grid of pixels off?

If so, you might try trashing your file.

  • Is there a reason why certain numbers automatically generated do not align with the text?

    I'm building a small book in InDesign and generated chapter numbers only display correctly aligned with the text of the chapter into two chapters. • I have a problem with the path, what is? No effect applied, some new preset in Illustrator? I need to disable

    ferkomrkvicka,

    Two suggestions that may be too far:

    You can try to disable the GPU performance by clicking on the icon of the rocket in the bar of the App, or on the top of the menu bar, deselect the box Performance GPU; You may also uncheck performance GPU in your preferences. There are a few problems with the GPU and Adobe are working on them. They should be resolved with the 19.0.1 patch, but some are not. Link to 19.0.1 release notes:

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Illustrator/KB/Illustrator-CC-2015-crash-bug-fixes-19-0-1.html

    Try to move or work assigned to scale (a little) and then Ctrl / Cmd + Z to undo, to get it in place. If usable, it is a roundabout way to use until the issue is resolved. or you can turn paste remembers layers in the layers panel, if you can live with the side effects.

  • Object will not align with the guide in my document.

    I'm working on a chart and eventually align parts with a guideline. And the graphics keep bouncing off the guideline to the left or to the right, up and down as I drag the object to the guides. I use Illustrator CC14 on a Macbook with OS X 10.9.2.  Not sure if you prefer that I have to turn on or off. I turned off the snap to point and snap to grid. Help. Thanks in advance.

    IvyLeaf,

    In such cases, the first assumption is aligned to the pixel grid

    You can select the entire document and untick finally align on the pixel grid in the transform palette and uncheck also align new objects to the pixel grid in the options of the Launcher.

    You can avoid the types of documents with the default (RGB for the web and other) or change the default value for such documents.

  • Nested tables will not align with the primary table

    Hi all. Looks like I am facing another obstacle focus on the table. While I was creating one of my pages, I used nested tables to create a column on the left side of the page that will contain my menu secondary, while the other column will hold a flash element and the content of the page.

    Although I have inserted tables nested with a spacing of the cell '0' and '0' cell padding and Visual AIDS seem to indicate that the values in the nested table are identical with the primary table who is the holder, the nested table that will contain the film and the page content is not embedded with the table above. It seems to be off by 1-2 pixels or more, but since there will be a right on the image under the menu is quite obvious.

    I enclose the code for your information (line 165, 166).

    Thank you for your time and your suggestions. I really appreciate it.

  • now shift aligns with the weird angle

    I'm in the middle of creating a logo, that is overdue, and suddenly I can't make a straight line. When I hold the SHIFT key while dragging my line that she break, but not right! The little info box I made dragging the line (with shift) readings 0º or if I move it down a bit he clings to the 315º, but this obviously isn't 0º is snaps to the. I can't make even a straight square or rectangular face with SHIFT, they all align with a weird, asymmetrical angle. Some people have the direct problem form where shift does not produce a wink to all... mine IS slam & SAID 0º, so it must be right, but it is not at all. Same ellipses are spread when I hold SHIFT. It's like the grid when haywire! And if I'm eyeball to a straight line the little info tag says it's to 338º, instead of 0º.

    I created a new document, and that one works fine. Maj snaps my straight line & all my squares and rectangles and ellipses are perfectly straight. So, what was wrong in my original file? A I touched a button command that I'm not familiar with which screw up in my network? Below you can see what a change of product portfolio you can see the tag info I drag my line while now shift that's snapping at 0º, it says. THAT looks like a straight line of 0º?

  • Help - brush do not align to the path?

    Hello everyone, I had a strange problem with the help of a brush to draw a path. The goal is to have the bar to follow the path around the circle on the photo as seen outside most circle. (Image below) I created the brush by 3 boxes (an orange, a gray and a vacuum) while doing an art brush and asks the way of the circle. As you can see the work of the first and third brush as expected but the other is just the line at the beginning of the vertical trajectory?  I did some tests and the problem is the special brush, not the path of the circle, and he has popped up in similar graphics.

    Any idea what could be the problem? Or perhaps a more reliable method to make an image like that?

    Thank you.

    A book a rectangle outline has a very specific meaning in Illustrator brushes.

    As big as the brush do complete or delete it.

  • The objects are no longer self-aligning with the other

    Hello

    I am new to Adobe Illustrator CS4 and are in desperate need of expertise. I think settings got messed with, because now whenever I move an object, he tries is more 'auto align' with close objects or borders. I don't know how this feature is called, but it is when a smaller circle type of "jump" at the center of a larger circle, or I think that it will also show when limits are tangent.

    My apologies for my noobishness, but how can I activate this return? I find the program very difficult to use without it.

    Many blessings for your generous explanation and kindness.

    On the view menu: guides, Snap to Point. You may have hit a shortcut by accident.

  • Adobe illustrator problem: trace the path

    I have problem with adobe illustrator. I made one way, other paths, and now I want to pet. But he caresses each little trail. I have a screenshot to make it clearer:

    http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/2052/11814891a.jpg

    The question is: how to caress the entire "A"? So I just get a line around the 'A' and not for every small path?

    You could do a form composed out of it. (see the manual for more details)

    You can group together them, and then add a line and use pathfinder-effect 'Add '.

  • Clip aligns with the bottom rail

    All of a sudden, when I move a clip in the timeline, the clip is aligned with cross-country in the sequence. It makes me crazy! I turned on and outside snap, nothing works. What is happening?

    No. I would literally try to move the video clip, located on V2, to the right or left and she could give in to V1. This would force any clip on another element down to the lower level, removing the lower clip. I threw my preferences and it fixed the problem. No idea of what was going on...

  • Create the directory objects with the path environment variable

    I need to create a directory object and wonder if it's valid to use an environment variable in the nom_chemin?  Example:

    CREATE or REPLACE DIRECTORY XMLDIR AS ' $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/xml ";

    I read the following in the Oracle 11.2 documentation, but it is is not clear to me if an environment variable is allowed or not.  My reason for wanting to use a variable of environment as opposed to hard coding is for when I update, I have no back reference to the old House of Oracle.

    nom_chemin

    Specify the name of the full path of the directory on the server where the operating system files are located. Single quotes are required, so that the path name is case-sensitive.

    > I see that many developers have created objects to directory with the environment variables in the path.

    Please post reproducible test

    You know & realize that the Oracle database is independent of the operating system (OS)?

    Environment variable is OS specific.

  • Problem with the path of the current script and applescript

    Work in cs3 here

    Here's what I'm trying to achieve. I wrote a script in javascript, but I need the support of shell for some features. I can only run applescript shell so I'm able to run the shell script quite easily to applescript, as long as I have hard the path of the code in the applescript.

    It stops working when I get the activeScript path and then try and pass it in applescript.

    Here's what works

    < code >

    "myScript = 'do shell script \"/users/my_username/myScript.sh\' &------"------" & point 1 of arguments and return. "

    myParams = ['param1'];

    var result is doScript (myScript, ScriptLanguage.applescriptLanguage, myParams);.

    < code >

    It works fine, however I would like to have the shell script live in the same folder as the scripts Panel, so it is easier for others to install

    So here's what I tried to do

    < code >

    myScript = app.activeScript var;

    var thisPath = myScript.path + "/ myShellScript.sh";

    "' myScript =" do shell script------"" + thisPath + "------" &------"------" & point 1 arguments and return. "

    myParams = ['param1'];

    var result is doScript (myScript, ScriptLanguage.applescriptLanguage, myParams);.

    < code >

    It produced an error that says: Indesign can't find the file.

    So I tried to escape all spaces with a replacement of the chain, as follows:

    < code >

    scriptPath var = "\" "+ thisPath.replace(/%20/g,"%5C%5C%20") +" "-" '; "

    < code >

    It still does not work. I also tried to make an object file

    < code >

    scriptPath var = File (thisPath);

    < code >

    Couple other things I've tried include POSIX path in applescript, removing the additional quotes, enveloping the path in quotes.

    It did not work also. Any help would be greatly appreciated that I do not understand what I am doing wrong.

    UPDATE:

    Just after posting, I have corrected this problem. For anyone who wants to know, that's what I did

    scriptPath var = ""' + thisPath.replace(/%20/g,"\\\") "+ '" '; "

  • The objects don't align with the origin

    I suddenly can't get the node from the corner of a rectangle to coincide with the upper left corner of the artboard - it compensates by 0.5 px both ways. Tried to quit and restart.
