• Illustrator CC 2014 randomly loses the ability to recreate a link/link/site graphics

  I help troubleshoot a client who is having problems with Illustrator on his Mac (note: I'm not a person of illustrator, I just help troubleshoot)

  After opening some files .ai, she is able to recreate a link/link/location charts several times without any problems and then after some time (varies from 2 to 10 times), "Place" or "D-link" stops, bringing back to the top of the browser window.

  I tried to uninstall/reinstall including remove the plugins files and .plist files, removing recently added fonts, clearing the cache of fonts, disable plugins, disabling extensions, but nothing appears to fix it.  Installation is running on creative cloud, which is set up to keep the application up-to-date, so my suspicion is that a recent update of OS X or CC caused the problem, however the user could not identify for me how long his current summer.  OS X is yosemite and is up to date.

  Is the browser set up window to view "columns"? Set it to something else. "Cover flow" could cause problems as well, "list" should work.

I know I could align stroke to inside, but it's boring to do abit oly works with closed forms. • Need help, go back to Illustrator CC 2014. 2015 crashes on me.

  I've updated Illustrator from 2014 to 2015 the other day and now my system crashes completely once every 20 minutes or more when using from 2015.  Unfortunately, the update removed 2014 version and the Cloud Creative updater does not list version 2014 as a download option.   I uninstalled Illustrator using the uninstall application in the main folder, then reinstalled Illustrator CC 2014 using the creative cloud icon in my menu bar. After the reinstallation is the same thing with the same error. I am running Yosemite 10.10.1. Illustrator ran fine before the system restore. Photoshop and InDesign CC 2014 start very well.

  I'd appreciate any help you can give me. I tried to discuss with Adobe, but the cat was not available.

  You could try to reinstall using step three way:

  Uninstall, run the cleanup tool and reinstall.

  I'm afraid that have met you the Rectangle Live bug that is limited to the MAC versions from 10.7 and 10.8, but not of 10.9 (Mavericks) or 10.10 (Yosemite). If all goes well, the bug will be fixed soon.

  Thus, a switch for the Mavericks or Yosemite with a reinstall might be the way to solve it here and now.

  To get around it, in each case, it is possible to develop direct Rectangles to get the normal old shaped rectangles or Pathfinder > unit, or use the scale tool or the free transform tool.

  A more permanent way round that is to create normal old shaped rectangles, after running the free script created by Pawel, see this thread with download link:

  Are you sure that you select the path, not the guid?

  Maybe it's time to look at the list.

  The following is a general list of things you can try when the question is not in a specific file (you tried/made some of them already). 1 and 2) are easier for temporary strangenesses and 3) and 4) specifically preferences might be corrupt); ((5) is a list in itself and 6) is the last resort.

  (1) close Illy and open again.

  (2) restart the computer (you can do that up to 3 times);

  (3) close Illy and press Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Option + shift during startup (easy, but irreversible);

  4) move the folder (follow the link with this name) with closed Illy (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);

  5 look through and try the relevant among the other options (click on the link with that name, item 7) is a list of the usual suspects among other applications which can disturb and confuse Illy, point 15) applies to the maybe CS5, CS6 and CC);

  Even worse, you can:

  (6) uninstall, run the vacuum cleaner tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and then reinstall.

• Illustrator CC 2014 - with the exception of web image cut

  In Illustrator CC 2014 when I save a vector image of a thick line (e.g. 20pt) while using save for web and the cutting of the image (so do not select clip to work plan) and scaling for example 20%, then the edges of the drawing are cut off.
  I'm not completely sure, but I think that previous versions did not have this problem.

  If I save the image at 100% while the edges are cut off.

  I guess that save for web uses the center of the line of vector to determine where to cut the image if the image is reduced.

  But it must use the 'outside' the race to cut the image.

  Any ideas on the cause or the solution?
