  I have a server windows Hyperic Enterprise Version 3.0.3 and if I click on the dashboard, the Assembly resource file server, I see it as a green ball, local NTFS file systems, but the remote file systems have a gray ball. I see this on the server as well as on the windows client EA servers.

  When you install the Windows agent as a service, it begins in place and works using the default SYSTEM account. This account has full administrative rights to monitor most of the things on the local computer, but will not be able to connect to remote shares on the network.   I understand and share your concern, but what happens if Google is ~ 6 months away from releasing the next generation of operating system Android (code named 'Ice cream')? The word on the street is that ice cream will merge phones and tablets in a single operating system Android, so even our shelves would respectively honeycomb. In such a situation, is it possible that Google might want to keep more controlled application development until there? I can't imagine that they would change their overall posture on open sourcing, which is a major advantage over the competition. I wonder if it is more of an intermediate state to the Tablet market, and they intend to move into the open gear of supply with the introduction of ice cream (after all, who doesn't like ice cream?). They need all the edge on the fruit they can get, maybe the next OS relies on this Tegra 2 more power, we have all been here?

  Just a thought that it might in fact be more to what meets the eye.

  As I begin my quest of VCP, I noted that vSphere 4.1 is available as a 60-day evaluation copy.  I also noticed that most of VMWare products are available as an Open Source download.  What is the difference between the two?  Open source includes source code that needs to be compiled?  Open source includes all the features that downloads of evaluation?  After the expiration of my assessment of 60 days can re - install a new copy of the assessment?

  Also, I intend to use a machine virtual Workstation 7.1 on a single machine (2 E5450 image Intel processors, 32 GB memory, SATA 3 x 300 GB disks and dual gigabit NIC).  Workstation 7.1 is only a 30-day trial, how do I overcome this problem so I can continue studying the limit of 30 days?  Is there free workstation downloads that can run all the vSphere components?  What virtual machine, it can perform all the tricks of vSphere?

  I know it's quite a few questions, but I am planning for most eventualities.  Any help that can be provided will be greatly appreciated!

  I would like to buy a copy of the workstation. With enough resources, it seems that you have, you can nest several ESXi facilities such as virtual hosts and run the 32-bit clients within those. If you run vCenter and a shared storage VM directly as long as virtual machines in my computer, it is possible to create a nice mini data center on a single machine. It is possible to test most of the features of vSphere, including things like vMotion. The ability to run ESXi nested is directly supported by WS 7. I don't think it's possible in 5 WS.

  If you are looking for free antivirus programs, you might consider Free AVG or AVAST.  Both are highly rated.  I use AVG on most of my computers at home but is currently using AVAST on my main computer.  AVAST has a tendency to be a little less intrusive, it does not require reboot as often as AVG when it only updates frequently.  Lately AVG is requiring a restart, every month or more often, seems, I don't remember the last time AVAST was forcing me to restart the machine, at least, it's much less common than AVG Free.
