imageCapture to JPEG?

I'm trying to use the imageCapture () function to render the png and JPEG. The png is fine, but when I visited on a JPG and try to load it in PS, or HAVE, I raise an error and wrote that its format is not valid.

code for JPEG rendering:

var options = new ImageCaptureOptions();
var bounds = MyBoundingLogicHere();
app.activeDocument.imageCapture('my_image.jpg', bounds, options);

The file exports without errors. I can't just open it after export. My intuition/gut is that imageCapture can only make PNGs, but I'm not sure. If someone saw it, would be great!

You are right

  • Is there a way to avoid downloading the RAW in a pair RAW + Jpeg?

    Hello everyone

I love how the pictures (and formerly Aperture) manages the RAW + Jpeg files. I think it is unique and no other software currently does in the same way.

For those who do not know how it works: it shows the pair RAW + Jpeg, a single file, by default in Jpeg format for viewing. This workflow works perfectly for me, as my camera (a Fujifilm) JPEG images are great, and when I need to change, I going to RAW to get potential full editing.

The problem is that RAW files are big enough, and I don't really need to be synchronized. They are also backupped by Time Machine, so I don't want them on my iCloud. They'll soon fill up my account and I'll end up paying more than I want to.

So what I'm looking for is an easy way to avoid uplading RAW format to iCloud photo Library. I think it might be a nice rocker switch in the new Photos app.

    Nice day

It would be certainly nice, but there is no way to sync only selected in your photo library to iCloud, elements unless you move it to another library of Photos.

A brute force method to keep the only local selected photos would be to import by reference, since the referenced images can not download to iCloud, but which would not work for RAW and JPEG, pairs since you want to keep them combined. The referenced images are not supported as well in Photos in Aperture, so I would avoid them (disadvantages of a library referenced in the Photos).

  • Sending files JPEG Mac to PC

After sending my photos to a PC user, inexperienced users often can't open my files. The same thing happened when sending PDF files to PC users unskilled.

When I connect a photo stick to my TV, I realize that each JPEG has a 'ghosts' file that will not open.

What I can do or say a PC user irritated?

When you say 'Send', you emailing them or giving them a flash drive? If giving them a flash drive, how is it formatted and how you copied the files on the disk?

How can I adjust to save pictures in JPEG format again?

    Hello

You took your pictures as Live Photos (it is enabled by default), which combine a photo with a short video of the moments just before and just after that photo was taken, with audio included.

Live Photo is enabled by default. To activate or deactivate, press the Live pictures of the camera on your iPhone app (yellow lights):

For existing photos, to only import the photo part yet to your Mac running an earlier version of Mac OS X, connect your iPhone to your computer, open the image transfer application and only import the jpg for each photo.

  • How to keep the transitions of the Apple Photo Jpeg codec

I made a slideshow a few years ago using iPhoto and exported in the form of film. It uses transitions strongly, especially of crossfades. Now when I try to upload it to a site like vimeo, the video must be converted using a standard codec such as H.264. Once converted, all transitions are lost to the gross final video in comparison.

  • Importing RAW + JPEG photos files times

I put up my Nikon D5100 to shoot RAW + JPEG files when I take pictures. Photos is to import both, when I just want to import JPEG files. Can I separate the two formats and delete the RAW files in pictures? Also, how can I stop the RAW files to import in the first place?

If I search for RAW files in Photos, the program shows them, but when I choose 'Get Info' on them, they show that the JPEG. Really weird...

Yes you are right - this is exactly how it works - to use the RAW format as the original for editing then editing for a photo mode, click on use RAW original title in the menu image - these photos will have a RAW badge on them, others will have a JPEG badge on them--Photos that are found only in a format do not have a badge on them

And I suggest review you both RAW and JPEG shooting and shoot that you want - if you pull them both, and then import that you'll both in Photos - you can use Image capture and import from the camera on the disc and separate form BRUTE of the JPEG and import only the one you want - but even for me it is just logical to the format you want to shoot not the format you want

  • Saving images is failing as a JPEG instead of JPG

When you click to "save the Image under...". ' option, the default "as file Type" value setting used to be empty and would allow us to save the jpg graphics. Now, for some reason, the preset 'File As Type' is set to JPEG. This is very inconvenient because we have to choose the option "All Files", so that we can see the list of files, that we already saved in order to keep our photo sequence so that our operations. The other problem is that we cannot use JPEG files, because all of our web pages and print pages that we publish are related to files JPG, then if convert us to JPEG format, we would have to completely re-do of our thousands of templates.

We use Firefox version 35.0.5. We tried to update Firefox via their Web site. Did not work. Then we tried uninstalling and then installing a new version, still the same problem. Also, the problem occurs only on 2 systems that we have and not on the other 2.

    Help, please!

COR - el suggests using RegEdit.exe. You can type or paste regedit.exe in the Windows Run dialog (or box on Windows 7, the search box of the start menu) and press ENTER to run it. Usually you would get a UAC invites to approve the execution of the program.

RegEdit lists five different "hives" or sections of upper level in the left pane. If you develop one, high HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT of the page, then you can drill down for

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT > MIME > database > Content Type

In this section you must thin image/jpeg and then you can click on that and view the assigned right file extension. I've attached a screenshot of Windows 7 for any reference to screen.

  • Photos, convert and replacement RAW to JPEG files

    Hello!

I've been googling and looking for forums of Apple, and I've not found a way to do it again. I'm not sure that it is still possible.

I have a MacBook pro with a nice little SSD. Take RAW photos is gourmet area, and many of them lying around. Is there a way to replace the RAW with a JPEG photo-generated file to save space?

I thought to export to JPEG, removing the RAWs and import JPEG files, but then I will lose the album information they contain.

Is there a way to transform the RAWs in JPEG, then delete the RAWs to save space? Or is it easier to simply delete?

Any response would be highly appreciated!

Export and re-import are the only way to replace the originals.

And it takes if ensure that the original RAW have been deleted from your library and iCloud, before you reimport the JPEGs or Photos will be STINKING RAW format. At least, this happened to me several times.

You could try to export and import after assigning the name of the album as a keyword. Each album individiually, export

According to reimport the photos create a form of album pictures of the last Import. You can aalso use the albumname keyword to search for them.

When all goes well, remove the keyword, you no longer need.

  • When I upload RAW photos to my DSLR Sony RX10 what they list in JPEG pictures. Why?

When I upload RAW photos to my DSLR Sony RX10 what they list in JPEG pictures. Someone knows why. With the help of El captain. Thank you.

  • Some JPEG files seem to download very well, but are rendered incompletely.

Some JPEG files seem to be well uploaded by Firefox, but they do not completely. A progressive JPEG will remain very rough and no progressive JPEG will be missing the lower part. Of all the things I tried, I think maybe it's a bug of rendering in Firefox. More precisely:

    • The images are downloaded properly. The page loading stalls not but join immediately. If I click with the right button on the image and click "View image", he appears completely. If I open the media dialogue information Page tab and look at the picture, it appears quite as well. More curiously, if I use the eyedropper color tool and hover where the rest of the image * should * be, it displays the actual image pixels in the raster and also returns the value of the color of the image in pixels, while the main browser window always makes these regions as being transparent. I added a snapshot of the species to this post. Therefore, the problem also doesn't seem to be a problem of CSS/layout of the page (the Page Inspector shows the img block correctly).
    • Clears all data cache and cookies, then by restarting Firefox in safe mode does not make a difference. I even installed a vanilla Firefox to a new virtual machine and had the same problem when opening these pages. Other browsers (tested: Opera, Chrome, IE) do not show the same problem.
    • Reload with forced renewal cache (Ctrl + Shift + R) most often does not change the rendering of the image, but will rarely showing either more or less incomplete than before.
    • I can see the issue going on with two images on two separate pages. I re-encoded them using different software and different settings, but the problem persists, then it doesn't seem to be a problem of corrupted images.
    • I created an example of a toy to try to reproduce the problem: a same page with a different image, created specifically to try to trigger the problem. What I've found, is that the issue is triggered when the JPEG file above a certain minimum size (somewhere between 15 and 40 KB). What seems to be the rendering of the image in the main window stops after the reading of the image up to a certain length. Once again, the image seems well to be loaded into the cache and memory completely as evidenced by the display when you use the view image, or information Page.

I made three versions of the test page to try to reproduce the problem. Image of the first page is 11KO and always seems to go completely. Images of the second and third page are respectively 102 kB and 107 KB in size and will be usually incompletely. The image on page 2 use the progressive encoding, so the image will end up blurred. The image on page 3 use straight coding, so the image will eventually be rendered with the bottom part missing.

So far, I'm not sure why only, I encountered this problem on a specific Web site pages. Something must be the trigger, but it doesn't seem to be a problem with the server, the page or images.

Update: I introduced the site at Browsershots, asking for Firefox 35.0 renderings and a previous version for each of the Windows, Linux and Mac. Unfortunately, the renditions for Mac failed. As for the others, none of the versions pre-35, 0 present the display problem, and it is not present in Firefox on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 35.0, but appears on Firefox on Windows 2008 R2 35.0.
Here is the URL of the test pages where you want to check yourself: (darkened circles be transparent)

    http://www.abgase.org/firefox_debug.html (11kB, no problem)
    http://www.abgase.org/firefox_debug2.html (Progressive 102KO)
    http://www.abgase.org/firefox_debug3.html (no progressive 107KO)

(Do Ctrl + Shift + R repeatedly if the question does not seem to show, to be sure. If by any chance I can get it to render properly, it will fail again after that 2-3 charging at the most.

I did have a lot of time lately to make studying more. However, since the upgrade to Firefox 36 a few days ago, I can reproduce is no longer the question. This was confirmed during the audit on all my other Windows systems running Firefox: image rendering is usually interrupted when loading pages on Firefox 35.x, but still fine finishes after upgrade to Firefox 36.x.

This problem can be considered resolved, that the bug seems to have been given to v35 only.

I couldn't find anything relevant in the changelog of 36 of Firefox, but also found two Bugzilla reports that could have described the same problem, both claim that the problem goes away when you use v34 and/or v36:

#1125789: image full size is only partially displayed
#1126707: Firefox 35, MAC and PC image rendering problems

Microsoft have of course their own owners approaches that use coding including many e-mail clients cannot make sense. In fact, we encourage TB users to ask their correspondents using MS to set their clients in order to generate the HTML code rather than favorite MS of the default format.
