• Some effects doesn't work in Captivate 9 on text

  Hi all

  Has anyone encountered a problem of effects work is not on the text of 9 Captivate?

  Am 'AlphaFromTo' works very well in the software, but if I saw or output to a SCORM just text appears instead of fading.  Effects of opening such as EaseInRight work on the software, not in a preview but in the SCORM.

  Ive also tried 'AlphaFromTo' on an object that contains the text. once again the text seems fair, but the filled object is affected by the effect of.

  It's an inability to Captivate adjust the alpha on the text?  Thanks in advance.

  Really? Mary gave the same suggestion as me. Transition is in the Panel of Timing down, under effects. Why make it complicated when there is a simple solution for ages?

  

• Fly-out effect flies only halfway off the screen

  I applied a fly on a text animation effect. The text covers about 60% of my slides. When the text flies in about 10% of the text remains visible on the screen.

  Is there a way to avoid this?

  Is this a bug?

  I currently use the trial version (6.0.1.240), hoping to convince my employer to buy a copy.

  Select the object that flies, look for the number bit down in the lower right of the object.  Select this option to display the arrow that allows you to configure where the CENTER of the object will end up by when it flies out and drag it still on.

  

  And then publish it again and see if the object disappears now more off-screen.

• Application of effects to the text in Captivate 8

  Hello

  I'm doing a simple fade on a text caption using the Alpha effect. However, when I select 'apply the effect' in 'On the Action' in the properties of the slide, it does not appear in the slide. In fact, I see a little "jump" or a small problem with the screen to a point that I presume is the time at which the effect should occur, but nothing else. I don't know if I approach it correctly. I have a text caption with the caption container advanced effect. I tried a lot of things without success. Anyone with a solution or advice?

  You can probably get the desired effect by having three text boxes.  The set-top box with full color and melted output to display the second text box with the lightest color. The third area appear to any desired number of seconds after the second box then displays the time.  You need to increase your time to slide, too.

  Hello members,

  My company just (as of November 17, 2010) improved our systems to the version of Flash Player above.

  I develop using Captivate 5 training.  Now my SWF files do not play, or they start and stop shortly after opening

  and display a black screen in the display area (IE web browser).

  Has anyone else seen elsewhere?

• Effective way to break up long video file?

  We work closely with an hour long + video file where we need on the occasion of many clips of 30 seconds or more to be exported for use in another application altogether. Is it possible to make some kind of conversion "in bulk"? Manufacturing individual void clips and then exporting an at once is bad enough. Maybe we missed something obvious?

  Bring the clip in the Source monitor Panel.  Mark In/Out points.  Press CTRL + M to open the export settings.  Twist them as desired queue, hitting.

  Move to the segment next, press CTRL + M, click queue, move to the next segment.

• Effect of color in the properties lost when used to break apart.

  How does one change graph then have the possibility to choose in the properties of color effects options such as alpha or luminosity or hue in properties?

  Integrate a file .ai library and then creating a MovieClip of it, I can change alpha of the color or brightness or hue etc. in properties through the option of color effect. Use break hand to remove a simple box of a part of the work and just applied aspects of the color disappear, back to its original appearance. Try the work but still not grouping options now. It is even if I just place the image on stage or open the graphic in the library.

  Try it out bring it a different way and to break, then alter the work group then to see if the properties has color effect option for this but still no joy.

  Try to convert graphic after editing and giving it a new name, he Faints, nothing visible even if I select this chart in the library.

  It seems that the only way to apply color effect in the properties of a chart or a MovieClip is NOT to change its content when placed on the stage. I can't do without needing to modify the program making the AI. In fact adds a box that I don't need, border of the page in this program.

  Color effects can be applied to an instance of a movieClip or button or graphic symbol. When you separate an instance of movieClip, you actually spend this movieClip into its different parts, similar to the edition of the original symbol in the library.   You can select all the individual parts after your installation of these parts and then using the Edit menu, the value of this new group of lines and fills as a movieClip and reapply the color effect.

  Alternatively, if you double-click on the movieClip on the stage, you will be in the editor. Any changes you make in the editor will be displayed in the movieClip when you return to the scene. The effect color will remain.

• Effects of timing look wobbly when previewing a project

  Hi once again, everything

  There is something wrong with my timing for my quiz slides effects. They are aligned to the right and when you preview all simply a slide in Captivate everything seems fine but as soon as I saw in the HTML5 in a browser or on the SCORM cloud everything goes wonky.

  This is how the slide ends when I put him to release into the effects of timing.

  I can see your slide stopping at 1.5 seconds according to the chronology. Since the end of your effect and the break is bunk, this may be why you see some kind of lag or stutter.

  I suggest you reduce your time to effect up to perhaps 1.3 or 1.4 seconds or less; OR you could try to increase the timing of break of 1,5 to 2 or 3 seconds (at least a few milliseconds after your effect is complete)

• Captivate 8 vs 9?  Newbie here...

  I have a question.  As are someone who is only just beginning in Captivate, there major differences in the update to version 9?  My main concern are the tutorials v.8 (Adobe, Lynda.com, Youtube, etc.) and version 8 pounds, I gained my knowledge base is likely to be.  I tend to start on version 8 and then move if there is no reason to do so.

  Please bear with me as I am by the way.

  Captivate 9 seems to handle much better effects. For this reason alone (the improvement of the effects), I would consider 9 Captivate. With vs9 you can listen to excerpts and affect a lot easier... also group objects and apply an effect to the whole group - could not do before.

  This is relevant if you do animation, of course.

  At first, look at the blue stars, how the trace inside of them seems to be alive while moving on the track, like a comic strip, I don't know, I've seen this effect on other things, guess is a kind of deformation of effective, iv'been breaking my head trying to understand, can someone give me a light?

  Make sure that your stars are created with masks on a solid.

  Then apply the scribble effect.

• Animation choppy during the mp4 post effects

  Hi all

  I get the jerky/choppy animation effects when I publish my Captivate files to mp4 format.

  Export to SWF format is fine and fluid animations same since I see when previewing video in Captivate.

  I tried viewing on different devices and used disseminators of media, but I still see the issue. Interestingly, my colleagues abroad don't notice it so much. Not sure if I'm hypersensitive or if they have a different setting for mp4 playback.

  Captivate publishes MP4s at 15 frames per second by default and has no option in the settings to change that. There is a frame rate option (default 30), but that applies only to the SWF output. While this made to smaller video files, it also tends to make your eyes bleed.

  Fortunately, there is a solution: http://iconlogic.blogs.com/weblog/2012/11/adobe-captivate-6-fps-your-mp4s.html

  While the blog is then Cp6, I can confirm that it works for Cp7 Cp8. You just put this file in your Captivate directory (C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 8 x64\) and you're ready!

• Camera Axis &amp; motion effect

  Hello.

  It is my first question to the community.

  Does anyone know if there is a way for After Effects to move break and oscillation of the camera?

  The effect I'm aiming is represented in this short clip.

  The way the camera stops, and then go to another device.

  I have video footage from both cameras and want to apply an effect like this if possible.

  If this is possible without buying third-party software, could you please give me a link to the tutorial.

  If you had to choose this place for your effect "Bullet time":

  

  Here's what you'd have to do.

  1. Roto guy and the rope on the two shots for at least a framework and put the guy on one layer and the bottom on another
  2. You now have 4 layers, two of the guys and rope, two background (shots must be synchronized)
  3. Remove the two layers of the guy if you own plates
  4. Perform a morph between the guys shooting 1 and the guy in the picture 2
  5. Perform a morph between the background in game 1 and the background in shot 2
  6. Composite finishing

  The Morph would be finished by distortion and mix the shots on some images for the move would be kind of sort of 3D. These are the problems that you will encounter.

  1. The background is incredibly complex to pull this with only two angles
  2. The difference in perspective between the two plans of the guy is adjacent to the extreme because of the difference between the angles
  3. You have no bottom plate to halfway between the two angles
  4. The focal length of the two shots that seems to be different, so a good match is going to be harder to do.

  All these problems are the result of planning do not so understand the needs of post production. I have very little confidence that you will be able to pull off a 'bullet time' effect convincing by using these two shots. You will probably be able to do something, but it will be far from perfect.

• Check the values of variables in Captivate with Flash AS2 animation

  I created a couple of simple buttons Pause/Resume Flash AS2 to manipulate playback from Captivate using the following script:

  _parent._parent.rdcmndResume = 1;
  }

  _parent._parent.rdcmndPause = 1;
  }

  The buttons work as expected if their ' display for: "values are set to"Rest of project"."  The buttons seem to have no effect on the reading of Captivate so "show:" is set to anything else.

  The problem is that I was hoping to only display buttons when I want the user to suspend or resume the chronology of Captivate.  However, for some reason that I don't understand, they do not work when their ' display for: "value"point in time ".

  No idea why the buttons to behave the way they do or ideas on how to make them do what I wish they would do?

  When ' show:' is selected as the rest of the project / duration of the animation, swf loader will be placed on the chronology of the Captivate SWF.

  When ' show:' is selected as the precise moment / slide rest, swf loader will be placed inside the slide (slide is placed on the Captivate swf timeline).

  So try it when ' show:' is specific time / rest of slide:

  on (release) {}
  _parent._parent._parent.rdcmndResume = 1;
  }

  on (release) {}
  _parent._parent._parent.rdcmndPause = 1;

  }

• How to import sounds in Powerpoint to Captivate?

  When I import Powerpoint slides in my living room of Captivate, do not play the animation views, but the sound effects in the Ppt in Captivate slide.  The sound file is from the media library is a .wav file and open with Windows Media Player.

  I really need to finish this show, could someone please help?  Much appreciated!

  If the file is in WAV format, try this. Click on Start > run, typing sndrec32 in Run dialog box and then press enter. This should open the Windows Sound Recorder application. In the Interior of the tape recorder, click on file > open and navigate to the WAV file. Click on file > save as and click the Change... button at the bottom of the dialog box. Make no changes, and click on OK. (this action must convert the PCM encoding format)

  Now that you have modified the file try to import into Captivate again and see if it works.
