Images from Lightroom slow opening in Photoshop cc cc

I just upgraded to the stand-alone versions of 6 cc Lightroom & Photoshop 6 (hoped for an increase in speed and new features). When I want to edit an image in Photoshop from Lightroom, it opens very slowly or I try a couple of times before opening. Any advice on a solution would be appreciated. Thank you.

The standalone version and the CC version share the same program code. Regarding speed, you won't see any difference. However, the CC version adds new features that the stand-alone version does not.

  • How to make images to reproduce in Lightroom before opening in Photoshop?

Until I upgraded to CC, I had an older version of Ps with the raw camera not updated version. Whenever I wanted to change the selection of images from Lightroom in Photoshop, I got a pop-up saying that the camera raw is old and if I wanted to go to Lr instead.  I chose 'Yes' and "Do not ask again".

It was convenient for me for the time it took to render for Lr, I could always use my computer do something else. And, as banal as it sound, when I'm done editing in Ps and come back to Lr, I find all my loans modified photos selected for my next step. I know it's trivial as it only saves me clicking on Cmd, but each click counts for me when I do that all day long.

So how do we restore in Lightroom before you open it in Photoshop once more images?

If levels of ACR, in Lightroom and Photoshop plug-ins, ACR match, then Lightroom design to pass relevant metadata to the PS, it uses then is ACR plugin 'silently' make the Tiff/PSD. And I don't think you can change this behavior, set apart by deliberately creating a shift of ACR levels (the PS/ACR plugin that needs to be less of Lightroom). At the moment you can't easily do that, but by releasing LRCC/6.1, there will be no doubt a corresponding update of PS ACR plugin. At this point, if you do not have this update of the PS, then you will offset the cab, giving you the opportunity to have LR what the file again.

  • Whenever I export an image from lightroom, if I try to work on the original again once he said immediately that the file is not found.

As noted above, immediately after you export an image in a file - if I want to go back to work on this image it just says that the file is not found. I have not changed the name of the file.

Also, after work on an image in Photoshop and saves a copy to the lightroom folder - I don't find it anywhere. It works if I save on the original image from lightroom, but if I save a copy I can't find it in the file anywhere!

    Hi mayab13,

How do you export the image from Lightroom, because export image from Lightroom keeps the image in Lightroom.

Could you please tell me your step by step workflow.

  • Photoshop CS-6 does not open images from Lightroom 5

I don't have Photoshop CS-6 and Lightroom 5.  Almost all of the images have been created in an environment Windows 7 (64-bit).  I moved to Mac platforms. I moved all the images and the catalog. I changed on Mac platform. I'm now using MAC OS - X (10.9.1).

I am able to see images in Lightroom, I'm able to edit images in Lightroom. I can export the images to JPEG (for example) from Lightroom.  I have a warning to several images in Lightroom = ' metadata were changed - you want to replace the data or import?

First time I tried to open an Image in Photoshop Lightroom (back) opens, but does not show a picture and no error message. But when I then look at the recently opened files, the image is in the list. When I click on this point, Photoshop displays, and the error message: "the datamodule can't handle the file format" (which is either RAW or jpeg).

Another expirience is when I try to open any other image directly from within Photoshop, Photoshop skips the XMP and open the original unmodified file.

Somehow, there must be a bug, I tried everything without success.  But now I have a good "workaround." I created an export preset in Lightroom that exports my psd image, the last step to open the image in Phtoshop. The only thing you need to do is to remove the psd file, when you don't need it anyymore (for example when I don't use a Photoshop export feature). But the "Workaround" is very uncomfortable.

  • Images from Lightroom do not look the same when opened in PSCS5

    Hello

I use LR 3 and PS CS5, but an annoying problem that I don't know how to fix. Basically, when I look at a picture in the window inside LR 3, obviously true insofar the contrast and saturation and hue... when I select Edit in Photoshop CS5, the file opens in the PS, but the contrast and saturation and the same hue are a little off. Why?

    Thank you

    Juan

Juan, note that in Lightroom develop didn't use all the raw data available at a time to give you an overview. She does as otherwise, the program would be unusably slow. Each movement of a slider should give rise to a complete rerendering of the data at full resolution and then reduce the image resolution of the screen. Even on very fast machines out there that lasts about one second that would make all glacial especially on normal computers. So in a zoomed view outside, it takes just a subset of the raw data at lower resolution and uses for rendering. This can subtly affect the saturation in cases where there are a lot of specific details of the colors because there are no average before reaching the lower res image. When you zoom to 1:1, Lightroom simply makes only the small subset of the image you see in your window. Because it is a small subset, it is still once very fast, but is now done at full resolution. To develop, you can only 1:1 see Lightroom apply the noise reduction and levels of sharpening that can also affect the saturation similar to zoom out. Certainly, this will remain a problem until we are a few generations further down the curve of Moore. However, at this time there, the resolution of the cameras will have increased by the same amount as the rest of the problem.

Now consider what happens when you go to Photoshop. Lightroom (or ACR when you use "Edit in Photoshop") reproduces the image of the raw usually a TIFF 16 bit prophotoRGB. It is then opened in Photoshop. Photoshop doesn't know how to deal with RAW files. He needs a fully rendered RGB image provided by ACR or Lightroom. Now, since you have a fully rendered image, downward revision is very easy. However, you have more freedom to reinterpret raw data. The model used in Photoshop is very different from Lightroom and so different restrictions apply.

In the Lightroom library views, a prerendered jpeg is used for the display. This means that, in library view, the image is reduced to a fully rendered image and should show a desaturation with respect to develop when you have a lot of specific color details. Note that neither Lightroom overview of the library and scaled down preview Photoshop are actually accurate. The two scale in a corrected gamma space, but for display only. To complicate this, Lightroom evolves down using a different algorithm than Photoshop (which uses several mechanisms based on the zoom level - i.e. If it is divisible by two).  It is simply impossible to precisely display a picture in high resolution on a computer screen very low resolution. Always deal with scaling, for which there is no more correct approach. They have questions (stupid method of Photoshop has certainly).

Finally, a lot of people who see subtle (or even extreme) differences between Photoshop and Lightroom do have a problem with their monitor profile. Make sure calibrate you re - your monitor, and when you do, make sure that the calibration software generates a v2 profile (most profiling software have this option in advanced settings). Lightroom treats LUT v4 unlike Photoshop monitor profile. This difference will be left in a matrix of v2 profile.

  • Problem when I open an image from lightroom to PS CC

Hello! For some time, I have a lot of noise on my image in PS when I open it from lightroom. I think it is started after an update, but I'm not sure. It is very annoying because I never know if my picture is good or not. In lightroom, all is well. Someone knows what to do? I really need my PS, but I can't use it and I paid for it.  Thank you

    Marie-Josée

Assess the noise and sharpening must be made to the 1:1 / 100% view - any other point of view will be inaccurate and misleading.

Therefore, compare reviews of 1:1 in Lightroom with 100% view in Photoshop,

If the image is still louder in Photoshop, go to Preferences > performance and try to set the Cache level to 4.

I upgraded lightroom 4 to 4.2 and I upgraded photoshop elements to photoshop elements 11 10. Now the option 'Edit in photoshop elements' in lightroom does not. I use a mac with the latest version of the software to this day.

  • Color casts in the nuances of light on open images from Lightroom CC to CC PS.

I notice strange color casts in the nuances of light on the images, I open Lightroom cc to CC PS.

My monitor is calibrated, and two color management applications on. The files are RAW of Nikon since a D810.

I get a separate green/blue dominant showing on paper background (grey seals) in the shade, and where the main light goes off around the subject. When I with the pipette sample there is a small amount of extra blue in RGB but not otherwise in other parts of the backdrop - so I think (hope), is a display problem only.

When I choose to test in sRGB, the casting, disappear when I choose to work in CMYK, it persists. I wonder if the PS may be using labour CMYK to display my image on the screen - if so, how to spend it to sRGB or is there an alternative?

OK, as long as you can trust what you see, it's good.

In all cases, the fundamental problem is the same: somewhere along the chain of (the conversion of source in display profile profile) display color management, something breaks down and does not have the right result on the screen. It is usually the profile, but it could also be the conversion of profile itself, such as calculated by the GPU.

Turn off travel, the logic of color management back to the CPU, GPU, which is much more robust and reliable.

  • Export images from Lightroom.

My macbook pro power off when you are connected (via thunderbolt) on my external hard drive of GTech containing my image library and catalog. On the connection of the power and boot up an OS message not properly ejected REF on the external drive. • How can I move images from Lightroom 5 to Lightroom CC 2015?

I have pictures on lightroom 5 I can ' t in lightroom cc2015 access.  Why not all the images moved with the version update?

I tried selecting them and then manually moving them, also exporting them but was not successful.  How can I move these images to new version?

    Thank you

    My suggestions-

    1. Uninstall LR5. It out of your system, you use it again.

    2. find your catalog file (a file of type. LRCAT) using the operating system (Windows Explorer / Mac Finder)

    3. open the xxx. LRCAT file (double click or Right click/open)

    As ManiacJoe says above-

LR6/CC will transfer your data LR5 in a new catalog of LR6 format with a "-2" added at the end of the name; your catalog LR5 remains unchanged.

    4. When you then open Lightroom, the default catalog will be the converted catalog.

Consider the catalog 'old' LR5 as a backup only. (If you try to open a second time, you will have an another LR6/cc catalog called xxx-2 - 2.lrcat)

AND-you, the pictures are NOT IN LIGHTROOM! They exist in the folders on your computer. The Lightroom Catalog is a database that displays thumbnails that have a 'link' to your photos.

AND you don't have to "Move" anything! Everything remains exactly where it was, (Images, catalog)
