IMAQ 4.1 installer

I have an application that consists of an executable file that dynamically loads the plug screws in sub-panels during operation.  The plug screws vary from a system.  A some less frequently used on the plug screws requires a driver IMAQ 4.1.

I might add IMAQ 4.1 installer for the executable, but since it is not necessary for most systems, that seems unnecessary.  I could also use the installer of Acquisition of Vision, but I don't want my customers to have to deal with activation when they will use only a small piece of it anyway.  Is there a Setup program or who would install ONLY the driver IMAQ 4.1 (and all the other required components)?  Or someone can think of a better way to handle this?

Thanks in advance,

Jason

Hey Jason,

You use application builder to create an installer for your application? If you are, you should be able to include fair NOR-IMAQ, tab other installers just as you would include DAQmx and LabVIEW Run-time engine. That would be your best best. Otherwise, if you create your own setup program, you can check the read - me for NOR-IMAQ know what files are included with the driver and where they should be installed on the machines in deployment.

Hope this helps

    Hi all

I had been using a GigE Prosilica GC650 of camera on a target real time with no problems. Today I tried to connect the camera to the MAX and I get the above error. I have read every thread I could find about this error and have tried the following with no luck...

-Deletion of files xml, iid and CIM with the camera disconnected and non-powered

-Update the firmware of the device to 1.36

    -Repair OR-IMAQ 4.3 installation

    -OR-IMAQdx 3.4 repair facility

The Prosilica camera viewer works very well. Another oddity, it's the same device works fine in the same version of MAX on another computer with hardware counterpart. This computer has versions of the same software (Labview 2009, IMAQ, etc.) to the problem machine.

I have not installed software or updated between the time when the camera was working and now (about 1 week).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

The only thing I can think of is to check the link speed. I think that some of the attributes on the Prosilicas go out of range, when they are connected to 100Mbit instead of 1 Gbit. Check that the interface of the camera card and the network show a gigabit link. Maybe you have a bad cable which is originally the link down to speed.

If this does not help, let me know and I can try suggesting other things we can try.

  • IMAQ ImageToArray.vi in the installation of VDM2011

    Hello

I am using a firewire (Dragonfly2 DR2), with a VI camera custom that uses under vi as 'IMAQ ImageToArray.vi' and 'IMAQ1394Snap.vi '. I installed VDM2011, thinking this would contain the vi, I am looking. This is not not to be the case.

Where are these vi, if not in the installation of VDM2011?

    Thank you
    David

    Hi David,

What the LabVIEW version do you currently use?

I guess your suggestion (back to LabVIEW 7) would work... but you must make sure you install the appropriate version of the VDM and Vision Acquisition software (see the file read me software files to see if LabVIEW 7 is supported).

Personally, I think you'd be better to use the latest version of all software - LabVIEW 2011, VDM 2011 and Vision Acquisition software 2011.09 (http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2596/lang/en).

Yopu need to tweek your code to make it work with the latest version of the software - but LabVIEW, IMAQ (dx) pilot (in acquisition software package) and the VDM have come on a LONG way since LV 7. The software is smoother, faster and easier to use!

But, of course, comes down to the preference of the developer, so I'm going to let you appeal

I created an executable file that returns

I developed the executable on a 32-bit computer with LabVIEW 2009 and the Vision Development Module 2012 SP1. The target computer has LabVIEW Vision Development Module 2012 and LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 2009 SP1 (32-bit Standard).

Other people on the forum had this error, and I have tried everything what they suggest. I keep getting the error. I also tried to download IMAQ and acquisition of Vision software, but I get the same message. Some people have had problems with the LabVIEW versions in different languages, but I use only English. This problem is caused by not having does not correct execution engines?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

So apparently uninstall the Vision Development Module strips the description of your error code error. I think we should focus on the "IMAQ Vision: cover Minimum value must be greater than zero" error. Can you run your application successfully in the development environment? You use the same camera at the time of development and deployment environment? Identical camera attributes are? What troubleshooting steps you tried before to solve the problem? Using NOR-IMAQ or NOR-IMAQdx?

    Hello

You first need to make sure that the USB camera is DirectShow compatible.  If it is not it will not work with the software of our vision. You must use the drivers IMAQdx (which requires a license) to acquire from a USB webcam.  Once you have installed the drivers IMAQdx (Vision Acquisition Software) and drivers that come with the webcam is installed, you should be able to see it able & Automation Explorer (MAX).  Once you can see it in MAX you can use it like any other device in LabVIEW.

    Awating for your valuable review

    Hi piZviZ,

Sorry to hear about installation problems going TO that appeal to you. I guess you use going TO February 2014 or slightly earlier - can you confirm? There was a problem with one of the components, NEITHER FlexRIO going to understand which caused this exact problem on systems with a UEFI BIOS. We have since fixed the problem. If that were the problem, here are a few options:

    (1) install GO without Support IMAQ i/o for all cards of the R series (1473R, 8237R, etc.). This means that the affected FlexRIO component will not be installed.

    (2) update to a newer version of GO - I think that going TO August 2014 f1 shoots in the FlexRIO patched component that could solve the problem. If you choose to upgrade, I would recommend just upgrading to the last GO, if you are capable of: going TO August 2015 f1

    (3) keep the version of going TO you and patch the component FlexRIO: How can I get a blue screen after installation OR FlexRIO 13.1?, NI FlexRIO 13.2.0 Patch détails

I recommend just update to the latest going TO if possible.

  • Cannot create an installer containing IMAQdx in 2014 of LabVIEW

I have a strange question in the generation of installers with a function IMAQdx in LV Application Builder 2014.

When I was building an installer for an executable file using IMAQdx in 2013 LV, Application Builder automatically selected additional installers needed and IMAQdx drivers (Vision Acquisition) were one of them. Now I'm trying to build the project even in 2014, but in the additional installers, I see only NOR-IMAQdx DURATION 14.0. When I build the installer in 2014 LV, the size of the file is about 300MB opposed to 900MB of the installer which has been built in 2013 of LV.

When I run the installation program from 2014 on a 'clean' Windows, install and run any application that uses IMAQdx, I do not see the cameras connected. This problem is fixed after manual installation Vision Acquisition software of DVD drivers for the device OR. After that, I can see all the cameras in the application and in MAX.

I tried to manually add additional installers in 2014 LV, but nothing helped. It seems to me that there is no way drivers IMAQdx bundle in LV Application Builder.

I found a post related to this and I wonder if someone can reproduce this behavior before dropping off a CAR. I have attached a simple project with a simple VI and installers of the sample in for testing. The VI allows you to select a camera (e.g. a webcam) and video image.

    Hi martin.zmrhal,

What you see with only the Vision Acquisition Software runtimes (VAS) available in the list of installers extra is expected with the latest behavior.

Before Vision Acquisition Software (VAS) August 2014, programs additional installation to after-sales Service, namely OR-IMAQ, e/s NOR-IMAQ and NOR-IMAQdx not only includes the runtime components but also for LabVIEW application development support. GO August 2014 and later, now only allow us the deployment of runtime components. This gives the advantage of a substantially reduced Installer size, but you can include more support development (ADE) LabVIEW applications is in the installation program.

This change aligns Vision with LabVIEW behavior and most of the other products OR you cannot deploy generally support the complete development of a product, but rather only the runtime components. If you need to install GO with ADE on your deployment machine, you will need to distribute the complete Installer GOING on this machine in addition to LabVIEW (to make use of the SAV ADE support). To do this automatically, you will need to write a batch file to run the installer for LabVIEW, then IMAQdx.

With respect to the second issue of not being able to see the camera, I think that what you are experiencing is that the drop of the control Session is dimmed and you cannot click on it to see a list of the cameras on the system. It is also the expected behavior for the runtimes are going TO. This does not mean that the driver is not well that discovery of cameras, and you can test this by typing the name of the camera in the Session control (for example "cam0" for the first discovery of camera on the system).

What we are looking for with this behavior, is for vision applications deployed to abstract the end-users camera selection process. Ideally, your code must list programmatically cameras with IMAQdx list Cameras.VI and then determine what device (based on the type of bus, serial number, model number, etc.) to the target. We are working on an application note paper that clearly explain with some examples, but the idea is similar to this example of community for NI-DAQmx devices: https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-10014.

I'm sorry for the current lack of documentation on these features, but without a doubt, we are working to provide examples useful and other items in the knowledge base at this address. I'll post a link to the content as soon as it is available.

In addition, Vision Acquisition Software August 2014 f1 went live yesterday: http://www.ni.com/download/ni-vision-acquisition-software-august-2014-f1/4974/en/. The patch is also available through the Update Service, and it is strongly recommended that you upgrade if you still use drivers of August 2014.

  • Not compatible with Labview 2014 IMAQ?

I try to work with a National Instruments / SuperDroid Robots SD6 ( https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-18528 ) now... Everyting connects fine using LabVIEW 2014 with the module of Robotics with the exception of the functionality of the camera. When you use the solutions provided LabVIEW cannot find dependencies IMAQ.

I checked to make sure that I have the module installed and I see IMAQ 4.9 and IMAQdx 4.3.5 MAX

Check the newsletter below on the compatibility of the IMAQ, she only has not 2014 listed

  • DAqmx and IMAQ pallets do not appear in my palettes of LabVIEW 2011

    Hello

I use LabVIEW to my University via a Campus license since 2005. I installed it on several computers.

My problem is related to a new LabVIEW installation on a brand new computer.

I have the license Site LAbVIEW 2011 Academic just installed and validated (via the License Manager) in this new machine running 64-bit Windows Seven.

[I also installed the DAQmx and the "distribution of February 2011" IMAQ drivers (downloaded from OR) as well as the NI Vision Software (version for LabVIEW 2011, the same distribution as the LabVIEW 2011).]

I launched LabVIEW Ant checked to see if everything was there, specifically the DAQmx and IMAQ functions, since I have the cards OR to make the acquisition of data and images. Note that I have not yet installed these cards in the PC. I m going to do only when I would have ensured that all the software is ok.

The subpalette DAQmx in measurement of i/o functions palette is missing.

Also, if I'm looking for the NI-IMAQ subpalettes in the range of Vision and movement functions they also lack.

Notice that all other subpalettes in the range of functions of Vision and movement are OK and there appear (utility of Vision, Image Processing, Machine Vision, and Vision Express).

Then, I checked if the installed drivers are really there. For this I used the MAX or (measure explore), and it looks like it all everything is there.

I mean, under NI MAX > my system > software I can see these articles:

    NEITHER Vision TERM 2011

    NOR-IMAQ 4.5

    NOR-DAQmx... several entries

I checked if the forum or knowledge base in NOR have any clue on what to do, and I found somewhere by the idea of trying to fix the installation via the Windows 7 Control Panel > programs and resources > OR software.  I did this procedure twice, just in case...

I also tried to remove and reinstall all software (including drivers) and NO, I did it twice. The result is always the same.

    Any suggestions?

When you install the drivers, you include support for LabVIEW 2011?  If this isn't the case, you won't see the LabVIEW screw in your palettes even if the software is installed.  Normally I expect that the Setup program automatically adds this support, but he can't do it, especially if you have installed the drivers before installing LabVIEW.  See the image below:

  • IMAQ Cast Image error

    Hi guys!

So I installed a program using a camera and an analysis of the image. It works fine on another computer, but during the installation of this second system, I get:

    The research I found: http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/imaq-cast-image-error/m-p/3217035/highlight/true#M934230

This suggests that it is a matter of licensing. However, I have activated the license on this computer.

    What should do?

    /Y

    Thus, it is fixed.

It seems that I needed two NI Vision Acquisition Module AND NI Vision Development software and then enable them both to get the program running.

Both can be installed under license with the license of the develop module.

    Hi Paul,.

Just to clarify, you have no need to manually copy the CD on the hard drive, like the LV application builder automatically only record it is necessary if you check the option "cache" during the construction of the installer. Please see this thread for more information on why Builder app works this way: link

  • 2014.02 - Bluescreen Windows 8.1 vision acquisition software (imaq vision acquisition express vi in labview)

    Hello

I have big problems to install the Acquisition of Vision software to Windows (64-bit) with installed LabView 2013 SP1 (32-bit) 8.1. He finds himself in a blue screen after the computer is restarted.

My main problem was that I only had 'Vision Acquisition' express vi LabView 2013 SP1 Windows 8.1. So I installed this VAS2014.02 (http://www.ni.com/download/ni-vision-acquisition-software-2014.02/4584/en/) and it solved the problem, the vi in labview and works fine until I restart my pc. Because after the restart of the blue screen is coming. After several times of blue screens it came Windows 8.1 recovery menu. By selecting "Help for starting" or something similar (I have German OS) in "Advanced Boot Options", the system could be recovered with relatively little loss of data (work today has been lost, only yesterday the files were there). So I repeated the installation of VAS2014.02 and once again the same: blue screen after restarting Windows 8.1.

It is not compatible with it?

    (but it is: NEITHER Vision Acquisition Software 2014.02 - Windows 8 32-bits/8 64-bit/7 64-bit/7 32 - bit / Vista / XP 32-bit/Server 2008/Server 2003 R2 32-bit)

What can I do to use the Vision Acquisition express vi into labView 2013 Sp1 Windows 8.1? I had lost the good part of the time today to operate without success. Thank you for your suggestions in tips!

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

I'm sorry for the problems you are faced with customer Service. There is a known issue with some software components which ARE pulled inward, which will cause the BSOD you see. The problem is examined formally at the moment, but in the meantime, the simplest solution is to remove the stand from the IO IMAQ for R series cards (1483, 1473R, 8237R, 825xR) as described here: http://forums.ni.com/t5/Machine-Vision/After-upgrade-to-NI-Vision-Acquisition-Feb-2014-Windows-does-.... If you require the use of these cards, there are other workaround solutions for which you can contact OR support that is formally addressed.

  • IMAQ USB to LV2009

    Hello

I've updated Labview 8.6 in 2009 with the Vision.

After the installation of the library or-imaq-usb (version August 09), Image Acquisition USB is available in Vision Assistant 8.6 but not in Vision Assistant 2009. Same problem in control when I have the code in the rear panel.

In addition, referring to the 8.6 library when coding in 2009 to close the vi and Labview 2009 without explanation.

Is there a version of IMAQ for USB for Labview 2009?

With the 2009 version, IMAQ-USB is now part of the NOR-IMAQdx driver in the 2009 VAS. Download it from this link:

  • Correspondence of IMAQ for rotational measure

    Hello

I use the IMAQ game ringtone 2 vi to try to measure the rotation of a component in an image. (LabVIEW 2011)

The input image consists of data collected from a laser profile scanner and is converted into a gray level image of 8 bits with the height information replacing the usual light intensity data. (This: http://www.micro-epsilon.co.uk/laser-scanner-profile-sensor/index.html)

A copy of my raw image is attached.

I did a little pre image processing before trying to match to the model, so face a binary image (just 0 and 255) in central France on the image. (assuming that this will make easier?)

I enclose also two pictures with the KING of the superimposed pattern match. The two images are different screenshots to a stationary object, so the pattern match must be in an identical position, but it is not, therefore a change of 1.6 degrees is reported when the object remained stationary.

Anyone has any advice on how to implement the pattern match algorithm to be a little more consistent and reproducible?

The settings that I currently use are:

Learn the model, the learning mode = All

Match, sub pixel accuracy of installation is true, match = indifferent rotation mode, ranges of angle of rotation =-10 + 10

the minimum match score = 500

    Thanks in advance.

I suspect the binary conversion is complicating, not easier.  It depends really on the functioning of the algorithm.

What it looks like when the game turns?  Based on the image, it seems that there is some problems of perspective that you will have to deal with.  I'd be interested to see what an original image of the room even turned a known, maybe 30 degree angle.  The form remains the same?

If the binary form is still the same after rotation (perfect), I would consider using the binary research and analysis instead of filtering.  I seem to remember a few tools to measure several properties of a binary image that can be used to determine the rotation of the object.

If the binary is not the same, the manipulation of the original image may solve the problem.  I think that if you resampled the image and increase the resolution to make the circular bottom ovals (assuming they really are circles), you could then measure rotation accurately.  I still consider the binary tools in this case.
