  I try to understand why my windows boot under vmware fusion. I put it to update to the last update and did all the updates in windows. The bootcamp windows works fine, but not in the merge.

  I'm trying to send commands to 3rd party software, through pipes (Windows). The 3rd party software implements channels appointed for me this approach should be used. The 3rd party software returned data me through a separate set of named pipes. The pipe command accepts the following structure as input:

  Question:

  What is the way to better/correct to imitate the structure of the typedef above in/to leave LabVIEW? Note that the channel named (OpenG application) for Windows takes string input (and similarly returns a string output).

  In the below attempts, I use a named pipe created by LabVIEW to test what can be read as I wrote my order for the named pipe. At this point, I was not able to get the 3 rd party software to respond to one of these commands, so I set the channel control named and listen to the output of the channel named, but I can type a channel named, successfully providing information (read only) house-keeping.

  See Screenie 1. I threw each of the values in a string and it concatenate to send through named pipe. One of the problems here is that, in my view, type casting 0 creates a NULL character, who does not intend. The other problem is that I can not actually the 3rd party software to recognize that I sent an order!

  Screenie see 2: I create a cluster and flatten it into a string to be sent by the named pipe. Here a number of characters represented is apparent in the output. Again, I fear that these are not representative of what I'm trying to send (wCmd and bYte [2]). Yet once, none charged with receipt of the 3rd party software that I sent an order.

  Thoughts:

  Should I change the channel named call library function node to accept clusters/structs to send what I want? This will break something else down the line? My "gibberish" (Screenie 3) return attempt, but same "gibberish" regardless of whether I used method 1 or 2 above, indicating that maybe I don't know how to read what is returned? (Could say "fool you, stop this")

  If your named pipes pass binary data - and it seems that they are - so don't expect to get an ASCII string. You will also need to send binary data. The wCMD is setting a WORD (2 bytes, or 16 bits) - so why do you send 15 bytes (PIPE_CMD_EXAMPLE length)? Moreover, since the data is an array of 2 elements of fixed size, it would be preferable to use a 2-element cluster for byte element, and not a picture of LabVIEW. Who's going to flatten properly, while a painting may not (depending on whether you set the flag to prepend to the size of the array). For data read back, you will need to unflatten it in a cluster of 3 values double precision, and it is possible that you will need to reverse the order of each element byte to get the correct values.

• Well reinstall Windows Vista - MAJOR problem...

  For not giving all my cleaning stuff correctly a system, but I need help with something that makes me really mad.  It's about Vista and something weird with the file system.

  I service computers to save his life, im pretty well informed and have tried many ways to solve this problem.  I do NOT consider formatting and reinstallation of a viable option.  How I reinstall Windows normally from the beginning is the same...

  FOR XP:

  Demarrer start from a NTFS disk, rename all the critical road as folders... Windows, Program Files, Documents and settings, System Volume INformation, etc...  Delete all files in root folder and fresh install of Windows.  Beautiful... works great... never lose anyones information.

  ON VISTA:

  Same steps, but without worrying if I boot from Vista dvd to access NTFS, or my special disk to access NTFS as I've used for years, the problem is that...

  I can rename Windows, Program Files, and the program data of the road after a bit of a hassle.

  I can rename users! Users and it sticks until I have install Vista and then I have a blue users and a black use.   I don't want 2 of them.  I tried a clean install of Vista without format.   If I format everything is normal.

  I think that the terminology that Michael used is to start, but is the correct terminology for Vista.  XP has a "repair installation" option  Vista has not just as an installation option more.  How to imitate the old XP Repair install in Vista is known as an Inplace Upgrade Installation.  So you see the upgrade is a rather unfortunate misnomer.  Inplace upgrade as installation functions where Vista reinstall it s self, writing and replace system files, so that theoretically do not damage or over writing files of program or personal data.  I hope my explanation makes sense.

• How can I display folder size column in the Windows 7 Explorer?

  I looked everywhere for the addition of the column to display the size of the folder under Windows 7.  When a folder is deleted to the Recycle Bin, the file size is indicated in the column 'Size'.  How to imitate recycle them bin settings for Windows Explorer display all?

  As you can see, it is a simple Alt + Tab sequence. It works fine on Windows 7 (and in a computer virtual from Windows 7 on my new machine Windows 8), but has no effect on Windows 8.   The problem with Alt + ESC is that it does not work with Metro applications and you cannot switch between two applications, as you can do it with Alt + Tab.   Cannot get computer to recognize my Kodak easyshare c190 camera. I installed the easyshare on computer software, easyshare

  tried to update driver had this message - a section of installation of service in this inf is invalid.

  What does that mean?

  This usually means that the driver is not compiled for the version of Windows you are using.

  One thing you can try is to right click on the installer to EasyShare software, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility".  It will ask you which version of Windows, it should try to imitate to make it work.

  until I started with my suggestions, I would like to say that Windows 8 has completely exceeded my expectations. I really enjoy it and I was very skeptical about the Metro interface, but I must say that the metro is just... awesome!
  Microsoft did a great job with Windows 8 ;)
  It is now time for my suggestions: p
  1 - users would be able to change the background image of Metro (splash screen) with a custom image (for example: a photo taken with friends). I had to install a 3rd party software to change the splash screen background.
  2 - the image may differ from the desktop background.
  3 - the user would be able to choose what part of the image to display in the start screen. (The 3rd party software I have installed allows me to do and it's a great option, if someone want to know what software is, you can select it here http://vhanla.deviantart.com/art/Windows-8-Start-Screen-Customizer-v1-3-beta-337308916)
  4 - metro should have a clock (it is a little annoying to move the cursor on the upper/lower right corner or go to the office just to see what time is it).

  I have also some suggestions, I don't know if the developers of Microsoft (Bing AppEx) actually reads this, especially since Microsoft is the copying/cloning "sect" Apple-like behavior (according to Mary Jo Foley). And fortunately, Microsoft will add even more features to my already impressive 8-PC Windows with Windows 8.1 (blue), but there are still some improvements, I would like to suggest.

  1) Windows Media Center... Well, not like a metro app, like a desktop, its variant metro application must be already existing Xbox video (Zune) to from day & TV movies of the Xbox and renamed Xbox & TV movies and have the ability to cloud-stream Live TV (for members - all the Xbox a Xbox LIVE Gold) on their Windows PC, Windows Phone and tablets.

  It should also include Cloud - D.V.R. (for TV) and the ability to record several cable - /-satellite at the same time, it imitates the model of Microsoft SkyDrive and has a free minimum and sustainable through supscription, it should be included as well the Windows DVD Maker features.

  In this way, you have the functionality of desktop applications 4 in a (Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center, Microsoft Zune and Windows DVD Maker).

  (2) a metro Windows Live Writer application.

  3) Windows Essentials to come preinstalled, rename Windows Live Mail Hotmail desktop would @Hotmail.com-Microsoft-accounts contemporary names, nostalgic motive should not run out of Hotmail and a big reversal as the Outlook Express name is now online, Hotmail might be the new name for what is called Outlook Express on Windows XP (Windows Mail in Windows Vista and Windows Live Mail on Windows 7).

  Windows Essentials could become what is Microsoft Security Essentials and pre-installed become, updates would be more easily shipped via Windows Update in this way and would be less of a hassle for users rather than updating the entire costume.

  (4) Speak & search engine Bing (or Bing voice), including the possibility of using Bing search bar on the start screen by placing it above all (similar to Google on Android) applications.

  (5) Windows Store for Desktop (similar to AllMyApps) and the ability to store the date in a cloud related to your account (backportable for Windows XP, Vista and 7). This could also be a great way to know what files cause a virus and how avoid malware, Windows has more applications than Google and Apple ALL ECOSYSTEMS HANDSETS, but unfortunately more malware too, this could be countered by reports of suspected to Microsoft programs and removing these Windows store.

  Microsoft could create a win-win situation with AllMyApps working together, but it is a little far-fetched at present.

  (6) complete device backup Microsoft SkyDrive.

  (7) a 'Scan with Windows Defender' option similar to "scan with Microsoft Security Essentials" earlier Windows-based computers.

  (8) a "save for FreshPaint" option for Microsoft Paint.

  (9) a button from settings on the start screen.

  That's all I can think right now.

  Thank you Microsoft team who developed this beautiful O.S. Windows 8 is great as it is, but the improvement is always welcome ;-)

  I am a recent graduate of a program at the stage of looking for a job in medical transcription and Medical Transcription.  However, many medical transcription companies claim that their platforms are incompatible with Windows 8 - which is, of course, what I have.  Is there away around this incompatibility problem?  For example, Windows 8 is somehow 'adjustable' to 'Act' like an older version, at certain times or certain platforms?

  He can.  There are several things you can try.

  First of all, compatibility mode.  Just right click on the program who is struggling and choose "Troubleshoot compatibility" from the context menu.  This it will allow to try to imitate the older versions of Windows so that the program can run.

• I have a problem starting up a Windows XP Pro Machine virtual Windows 8 host system (which has VMware Workstation 10.1).

  I am new to the virtual machines.  For several months I've been running a Windows XP Virtual Machine in an old machine of Windows 7 with VMware Workstation 7.0.  The hard drive is having some problems at times, so I thought that I could move the virtual machine on a new computer that has an OS 8.1 Windows and VMware Workstation 10.  For example, on the Windows 7 machine, I copied the directory with all the * .vm files and pasted into the machine to Windows 8. But when I tried to start VMware Workstation 10 in Windows 8 machine, I got the message "this virtual machine policies are too old to be run by this version of VMware."  I went to the knowledge base and used the solution described here: I've deleted the lines of three 'policy' of the .vmx file and added the suffix .ancien to the .vmpl file, which actually disabled.  Now, when I try to start the virtual machine, the black screen appears with the VMware logo in the Center and everything seems fine, but Windows XP starts.  And logo VMware guard churning away as in a continuous loop.  It is not easy to stop.  The only way to stop VMware is via the Task Manager or restart the machine.

  What must I do to get the Windows XP Pro VM to run in the new machine?

  VMWare technical support suggested that I have disable 3D acceleration (VM > settings > view and uncheck the box 3D graphics acceleration).  The virtual machine starts now with some minor problems, but it is usable.  But by closing accel 3D turns, in the words of the Technical Support Engineer, David, that there is "a problem with the graphics card not imitate or through its capacity to the virtual machine.  In other words do not support to the VM guest 3D acceleration. "My next step is to make sure that I have the updated driver for the Intel HD Graphics 4600 display adapter.

  I want to know how I can create a cluster of the P2v of my production windows node cluster on a host two unique esx4i. It is only for purposes of laboratory and test. The reason why I've done a P2v is I want to imitate my production environment, and as production data.

  I've done a p2v of my node Exchange 2007 cluster two production Windows 2003 64-bit.  How can I reconfigure disks (quorum, data) for the cluster?

  I've seen a lot of e of documents telling me to remove the discs and re create, but I want to keep the data.

  I understand you want to keep the data - this guide will give you necessary for nodes in vm configurations and storage relavent - if you want to keep the two nodes in the cluster on separate from ESX boxes, then you will need to maintain a quorum and the shared data on the physical SAN LUNS and allows to connect to storage RDM - if they all exist on the same ESX Server I shute evrything down - P@V primary node with the disk data and shared quorum, then P2V system disk of secondary nodes - in both cases follow the configurations described in the guides and you should be good to go-

  There's nothing radically different about CC in Photoshop.

  Not to speak for others.  Many serious Photoshop users have reclassified by each version.  The changes were all scalable.

  That said, for more specific help, perhaps you could provide a bit more information?  How about describing details such as what you see is different, how you would like it to look.

  For everything you wrote, it is possible that you may just want to disable the app framework in the window menu.  We can't really say.
