  Hello

  Although updates has fixed some audio issues (in particular the closure at the end of the converted clips)

  I always have a problem which makes use of the encoder to media 2015 unusable for me.

  My workflow is always to return on an intermediate format (quicktime with Cineform codec and audio not compressed)

  Then import this file into Media Encoder to render all of the different formats.

  Problem is that Media Encoder refuses to export audio from any quicktime through rendered with Media Encoder 2015.4

  The same is when I import the Cineform intermediate (rendered with 2015.4) Quitcktime in Media Encoder 2014. Then I also no audio output.

  This workflow works only when you use AE2014-> Media Encoder 2014

  So, for me, still not fond of using AE & ME 2015.4

  Hi Menno,

  Thanks for sharing your files with me.  I was able to reproduce this problem and found the cause of this problem.  It seems that GoPro Studio is in conflict with Media Encoder If you try to encode audio files in 24-bit (or higher bit) Cineform Quicktime.  I have recorded a bug on this issue report.

  In the meantime, here are some workarounds.

  Option #1. Uninstall Studio GoPro.  Then I could import your Media Encoder file correctly with audio.

  Option no. 2. When you create a Cineform QuickTime files, please use audio not compressed 16-bit.  Audio 16 bit could be properly imported into Media Encoder same GoPro Studio installed.

  Option #3. Use Mac.  As you mentioned, this isn't a problem on Mac.

  In iMovie, you can scan/see the list of formats of title and transitions, but there is a long list of Audio effects and tracks, with lengths, etc..  Anyone know if Apple released a printable version of the list, or if a user has entered to the top and made available?

  Hi, Gary.

  Go to your movies folder in the Finder, and Ctrl-click on the iMovie icon and click on the contents of the package. In the displayed files, go to resources/iLife sound effects.    Which displays the records for all effects audio, high fidelity. There is also a record of sound effects iMovie in resources.

  You will need to open each folder and do a screen shot of the listed audio effects.  Which can be done by command + shift + 4, which will cause your cursor turn into a cross.   Briefly the screen with the cross and then get out of leaning on your mouse or your trackpad.    You will get a JPEG on your desktop, showing the contents of the folder.

• Audio issue on-line on the Blackberry Playbook

  My video conferencing application is not playing audio live on the Playbook.  He is using Speex, with reading bufferTime = 0.

  I think the Playbook is using AIR 2.5, so it is the same problem that has been reported in Adobe AIR 2.5 for Android and subsequently fixed in 2.6?

  Is there a temporary workaround solution (setting bufferTime to zero)?  Or don't use Speex?  Thank you.

• iPhone 7 - Audio issues?

  With the iPhone 7, how someone listens to music and recharge at the same time? Obviously, the work around is to use the buttons wireless, but the latter only 5 hours. I think of flying long air or plug in your phone when you listen to music.

  Something like that might work, but it is a concept (from Tama, TSH03JM) image and it seems too bulky for daily use!

• Google Drive storage for audio issues

  Trying to help my husband, an author, after the fact. He is working on a book and has compiled several gigabytes of audio interviews. Everything on Garageband as files uncompressed aif. It is not technically suitable.

  He saved all his Google Reader without doing them anything. Now, he's out of space on his computer.

  The files are all over Google Drive and appear to be good - but he needs to remove the originals on his computer to continue working.

  In order for me to check that they are there in the cloud and working, I have to download each one and launch iTunes, is this correct? Because it does not convert, there is no way for me to play them where they reside on Google Drive?

  It is a way for him to batch convert what it has done so far? There are about 50 or so files, I think.

  in regards to your audio driver, I can't tell you what is exactly the problem. I suggest that you install a newer driver. But now we come to your next problem:

  You say, you couldn t find the drivers because you didn t find your machine? It's easy. Go to the drivers download page and the search for Satellite Pro M30.
  Why? "PSM35E - 003: 0" being the model number which is not listed. Instead, you must find the name of the MODEL that is in your 'Satellite Pro M30' case.

  Believe me, you will find the rather when you search for the name of the model.

  Just give it a try and tell me if it worked... :)

• HP 15 Notebook: Audio issues and Control Panel

  Hi, I have a laptop HP with Windows 8.1 15 and week ago I was going to watch a few videos and a bubble popped up saying that my audio device has been disabled or not installed device. at the same time, when I try to go to control panel, it brings up a window with a blank screen and is unresponsive. I have to use the Task Manager to close the window.  Using the search function, I can get into the Device Manager, but it says that my Realtek HD Audio device works properly.

  I would try a system recovery, but the page change PC settings did the same as the control panel.

  I use AVG and have performed a full scan with no threats found. I also Malwarebytes Anti-Malware scanner and I ran that as well with no threats found.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  Just today, I bought myself a G257HLBIDX monitor... I had read, it was stated that the monitor provides basic audio features. I have limited through my HDMI on my GPU and thankfully to start my PC. The resolution was neat, imagination was great, I connect to my Windows 10 and I go on my setting configurations because I expected that I would have at least set the audio device as the default monitor...

  As I thought, it was required so after, I get on YouTube to try volume so I can adjust it... But at the exit. The monitor has been recognized as a speaker and in the volume mixer he showed that they receive an audio but there was no sound.

  There is no driver for the monitor either so I can't fault that. I would like to help.

  Go to your audio playback options and make sure that your audio files by default is value, which I think you have, you have a headset or speakers plugged into the port on the back of the monitor audio output, since it doesn't have speakers built in?

  Hello, I've known several audio problems with my laptop. First of all, my laptop has stopped playing audio, unless I got disabling then enabling the IDT HD audio CODEC. I tried uninstalling the driver and put it back in place, to see that the drivers I found were not compatible. Then I tried the Recovery Manager and when I restart the laptop it has encountered a problem and I lost my improvement of Beats and audio. Can someone help me please on what to do?

  Try the following.

  Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  IDT HD Audio Driver - Windows 7.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When you are finished, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

  Chipset Driver - Windows 7.

  After reinstalling Chipset, stop the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

  Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

  Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  The problem is the absence of card its drivers and updated the same should solve the problem. I suggest you to update the sound card drivers by visiting the official website of Realtek. Download and install the latest drivers for Windows Vista and check if this solves the problem.

• Photos library forgotten intermittently in iMovie

  Hey everybody!

  I'm helping a friend with his computer which is having a weird problem where iMovie forget intermittently the computer's default photo library.

  I searched the forums and feel a little Google-Fu to no results. Hoping that someone here has heard of him and can help.

  Hardware specifications:

  iMac 21.5 "(retina 4K, end of 2015)"

  3.3 Intel Core i7, 16GB, Iris Pro graphic 6200

  10.11.5 OSX

  Photos Version: 1.5 (370.42.0)

  Version of iMovie: 10.1.2

  Symptom of failure:

  When you open iMovie library of Photos may not appear in the sidebar called "libraries."

  Friend is then unable to take pictures from Photos to slide directly into the timeline without doing it manually by moving pictures on the desktop, then in iMovie.

  Temporary difficulties (though not ideal):

  Opening and closing iMovie has 50-75% likely to appear at the library.

  Notes:

  1. a friend has a large library of Photos (600 GB and more) of his travels and compiles pictures and videos to family and friends.

  2. due to the huge amount of space needed for ALL of its data/backups (not only the pictures), she was sold and configure a Lacie 5big network RAID (20 to total)

  3. the iMac internal 2 TB HDD software account and installed OSX. Its Home folder is located in the 5Big and OSX heading towards it.

  4. the question is extremely intermittent, opening and closing of the application while the photo library is present can remove next time, iMovie is open.

  Things I've tried:

  -Creation of a new library of Photos (empty) adding like 20 pictures and then defines it as the default library in preferences. (Question persists)

  -Updated all updates of software available.

  -Re-install OSX 10.11 and then upgrade to 10.11.5 again.

  -Checked to make sure that 5Big is not put the discs "to sleep" after a while, removing the connection to OSX. (It is not)

  -Check all the cables and connections to make sure that the drive is connected properly and safely.

  -Machine closed down, started 5Big first, he gave 10-15 seconds to establish and then lit iMac to see if OSX has had enough time to 'find' the iMovie library.

  -Make sure that the Photos (the application) is closed before opening iMovie, tried also with Photos open before you open iMovie. (Issue still present in both scenarios)

  I guess something is in conflict with OSX and RAID 5Big... but I have no idea where to start looking.

  The external drive file system is compatible with Photos for Mac?  If the format of the disc is not Mac OS extended (journaled) it won't work perfectly.

  And the complete folder on this drive?  How was the link created?  What is the home folder encrypted by safe?
