IMovie error

A project I did, causes an error and Imovie are unresponsive, I can't open o remove this proyect.

How can I remove this proyect?

Try lauching iMovie with the alt (option) key down.  This will avoid trying to reload the faulty project.  If everything goes well or may then be able to open the projects window and delete the project.

  • 10.1.1 iMovie crashes while editing

    Hello!

I tried to edit my AVCHD (103 clips, 30 minutes) video clips and iMovie crashes all the time. The error message on the Console is "iMovie: error AVF: ability to Perf check failed: 0xe00002bc"and something like"..". otherwise taken iMovie causing excessive Awakenings... »

    What can I do?

I did this kind of work with iMovie several times without crashing.

My operating system is Yosemite 10.10.5

This error seems to be similar to the 50 error and a mistake is made. This indicates in general media corruption or it could be a corruption of transition/title. Not easy to solve, you can extend the chronology and scan slowly clips to see if something strange happens. Another approach is to fork the project, remove half of it and see if that will export. Continue to iterate this process until you find the corruption. Not funny, but I've not seen any other suggestions.

  • 10.1.2 iMovie crashes on startup with error log Codec32BitTool

iMovie 10.1.2 on El Capitan crashed shortly after the start - I can get it to display the welcome message - and there are two diagnostic reports of the user in the Console.  The corresponding message is displayed as follows:

    Codec32BitTool_sb_2016... crash:

    Dyld error message:

Reason: no suitable image found.  Found:

iMovie, used to work, so I don't really quite understand why it's not doing it now.

Research in the library package to find the file, the entry (aka...) was amended on 8 February 2016.  I have no reason to suspect wrongdoing.  But I don't know what to do to solve this problem.

In the error message, it seems that you are missing a low level library.  Basic framework is part of the operating system.  You say 'used to work iMovie', but that was with the version 10.1.2 and El Capitan or is that when you use an earlier version of iMovie or OS?

  • iMovie; Video rendering error 60

I am trying to share a project to My Documents in iMovie to youtube, but when I try to share the images (720 p, 60 fps) it will always fail to export and share telling me there video rendering error 60. I think it all started when I downloaded Mac OS Public Beta 7 sierra because I didn't have this problem before this date. Also, I don't think it's a problem of space because I have almost 60 GB of free space. Do you have any suggestions?

This error means that there is a problem with the media. You can browse the project frame and see if you see a glitch. This is only possible if it is a relatively short project. Another option is to replicate the project open in the timeline panel and remove half of it and see if that will share. Keep the course of this process until you find the problem.

  • iMovie export error

I recently did a video and I want to download on my YouTube channel, but iMovie stop an error when I try to export. It is said that there are video rendering error - 50 and I do not know how to recover. In the video there are a lot of video at the top of the another video that disappears into an exit, I don't know if this would have an impact on export, but there before and I know it shouldn't. What can I do to stop this error from happening?

Making the 50 error normally means that there is a damaged element somewhere in your timeline.  The first thing to try is to copy all of your project into a new project and see if that share the file.  If it gives the same problem, then try to copy half of your project into a new project and see if that shares.  This will tell you where half the clip of problem.  Now share half of the part which still has the problem... and so on until you find the problem clip, which you can then replace.

  • Error to imovie 11 project external drive

I try free hd space by attaching a mac format external hard drive and moving projects imovie inside the imovie holding down the cmd key project view. But since the project contains clips with built in audio effects, titles, etc. that is part of iMovie itself (at least I think that's the reason why) it gives error message - 43 say he couldn't move the ringing or the nail. He then shows the project as if it is moved, but restart imovie it is back to its original location again. Grateful for any idea that you could share...

Sounds as if you do it right, but just to be safe here is a link to instructions by AppleMan 1958.

How to move or copy projects and events on an external drive? (Version 9 and earlier)

Note his comment about an error

For existing projects, you can move it using these instructions.

    http://help.Apple.com/iMovie/#move7d66613

There is an error in the guidelines where it says drag the icon of the project to the icon in the event library. You should rather look for your hard drive icon in the project library.

Generally, the event takes more space hd project then you can consider moving events as well.

Do a Get Info on it in the viewfinder, it is an Alias or what?

Get Info shows a way to do this?

In the Finder Menu, select menu go > go to folder and go to "/ volumes. (without the quotes)

Volumes is where an alias on your hard disk (' / ' at startup) is placed at the start, and where all the 'mount points' for auxiliary drives are created for you to access. This folder is normally hidden.

Disks with an additional 1 on the end have a side effect of mount a disk with the same name as the system already think exist. Try trashing the duplicates with a 1 or 2 if it is not real files in them and restart.

If it does not contain data...

iMovie 10.1.2 falls down during editing of a film, usually by doing something like adding a title or a transition.  Failed attempts to restart.  Try to reboot with the option key + command allow you to remove preferences.  Then either receive an error indicating that the graphics card is incompatible or the application block requiring a force quite.  Restart or stop the iMac translates the suspended system requiring a manual stop holding down the Start button.  Restart in Safe Mode and then the normal startup will allow iMovie to load.  But after a few minutes of work with the program, it crashes and scenario again.  I use El Capitan 10.5.11 on an iMac of 2013.  I deleted the iMovie app and reloaded it, no change.  Someone has an idea for a fix?

In the case of iMovie on iPad mini gig 3 16 I try to save the project with video to Photo app, pops up a message "unknown error."

  • iMovie Export / share error

I used Mac for more than six years and created more than 100 iMovie on four different Macs.  I'm certainly not a professional, but do consider myself a novice more either.  Recently, I created three movies using iMovie.  With each one, I get the following error when I try and share/export the movie.

The operation could not be completed. (error com.apple.Compressor.CompressorKit.ErrorDomain - 1).

I have already created many films, using iMovie, on this computer.

I "moved" the project to final cut pro and received the same error message.

    :-(

Any suggestions?  I don't know where to go from here.

    Thank you

Maybe some clips are corrupt, and you can check for this, although probably not on three different movies.

I thought maybe that the clips were shot in 50 images per second that iMovie does not have 50 images per second, but I don't know if the CPF can return

Your destination drive has enough space?

I hope others will weigh in here.

Hi, I just bought a used 2012 Pro 13 "Macbook. It came with iMovie installed. However, I would like to get the update to iMovie. He said: I can't update iMovie because a different Apple ID was used to download iMovie and I get errors. How can I update iMovie?

These applications have already been assigned to another Apple ID, and they will be available in this list of purchases Apple ID. If you don't have access to this Apple ID and would like to receive future updates, you will need to purchase applications.

Unfortunately, free updates are available to the original purchaser of the computer. The iMovie is locked to his Apple ID, so unless you have to grab his ID, you can buy iMovie.

  • export iMovie 60 rendering error. What does that mean?

I use iMovie for the 1st time (new version 10.1)

I did a 2 hour 20 minutes video in iMovie with added music, but when I try to export to my desktop it keeps not after 10 minutes with a "render error video 60' comment."

I use a new Macbook pro (running Yosemite 10.10.5) and I have 100 G of video clips on the hard drive (I left the office in case that is the question). But whenever I try to export it, it fails with the same error.

    Any ideas?

I have the same problem (error rendering 60) whenever my movie is longer than an hour approximately. It happens the same way on two different iMacs (including a new one) and is independent of the resolution of the film. I have not found another solution that cut the film into small pieces and then combine them.

I would be very happy to hear about a real solution.

(El Capitan V 10.11.2 and imovie 10.1, but it also happened on earlier versions)

  • iMovie crashes after Sierra upgraded.

I have a MacBook Air and yesterday I upgraded the OS to Sierra. After that, iMovie crashes as soon as it load and continued to do so throughout the day. I can't access a video of work I had done and really need to send it to my client to download on their website. I repeatedly sent reports to Apple and restarted my laptop 3 times. I can't force leave them, because the program is still not open long enough to do something.

I also tried to get a fix to remedy the situation, but there doesn't seem to be available.

Does anyone have a solution to this? My laptop is less than 3 years.

    Hi nybor99,

I understand that you updated your MacBook Air to macOS Sierra and now the iMove application is not responding.

You did it to Time Machine backup your computer before updating?  You install iMovie version 10.1.2 after update to macOS Sierra?  Have you restarted your computer?  You try to access a project in iMovie or did you finish the project and export a video file (film)?

Try these initial steps to solve your problem:

1 launch the App Store on your Mac app, click updates, and then click the button next to iMovie update.

    2. restart your Macbook Air.

    3. open the Finder.  Open the Applications folder.

    4. right click on iMovie and choose read information.   Check the version 10.1.2.

5 double-click on the iMovie application to open it.

If the problem persists please reply to this thread with an update, including error messages that you may encounter and we will study further with you.

    Take care.
