Implementation of Physx for DirectX game

I was wondering if there was a way to implement Physx bookstores for my game using DirectX. It would be useful to better physical and graphic.

You do not implement PhysX libraries in games. They use it, or not.

While the games use cpu physics based for some time (Half Life 2, 'ragdoll' physical and)
is an example) PhysX is really just an advanced physical management system, but there is not a lot of games that make good use of PhysX - yet.
Apparently, Borderlands 2 had a lot of attention with its PhysX. Batman AA and AC are
Another example of games that uses PhysX.
The difference between the normal physical and PhysX up to this point has been quite low.

I'm not up on top of the latest about ATI as I am using Nvidia for a long time, but the PhysX
treatment is related to the Nvidia Cuda technology.
Some say that you can use your cpu (if it is powerful enough) to PhysX, but one may wonder
If they are indeed PhysX or normal physical based cpu.

NVIDIA bought the rights for PhysX of Agea and they had exclusive rights to it.
Yet once again, I'm not on later, but people have been able to use a 'hybrid' system (installing an Nvidia card in a machine with an ATI/AMD card) with driver hacks earlier, but the driver Nvidia changes which stopped.  .

PhysX is more effective when you use two Nvidia cards with a dedicated PhysX card.
I've not bothered with this Setup (my motherboard that the machine was also only one PCI-e slot, so I couldn't experiment with it anyway), but a single Nvidia card will always be PhysX.
Batman AC PhysX is still very effective with my GTX560ti.

You should be able to find more information on the creation of a dedicated card for PhysX if you do a search.

Must my webworks (for BB10) games to implement the Scoreloop for approval or just to get into the construction of BB program?

Originally using Scoreloop was a requirement for the criterion of integration of services with the games, but this requirement has apparently been removed, as mentioned in one of the webcast that we expect them to post here sometime soon: https://developer.blackberry.com/builtforblackberry/documentation/videos/index.html

Note that this page still says Scoreloop is required: https://developer.blackberry.com/builtforblackberry/documentation/criteria/games.html

  • Crash black screen on DirectX games in Windows 7

First of all, if you take the time to read this... Thank you in advance. I realize it's not easy. If its in the wrong place please move, but I don't know what is causing the problem...

I'm fighting a recurring problem on the PC of my son for some time. I'm quite known in customized versions and have never had a problem persisting who me before perplexed.

There used to be an old Intel Q9650 system based on an ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP mobo. 8 GB ram Corsair XM3, OC secondary disk of 60 GB SSD and seagate 500 GB, card Nvidia, Silent-Pro 550w PSU 295GTX.

The system would, on some games and after certain periods of time to a black screen crash, sometimes with a sound loop. All temperatures were within normal limits as the Arctic Pro CPU cooler and other fans were good Setup. The PSU has been good and tested in other platforms and toggled to eliminate information. The worst games were Napoleon Total War and Balanced Annihilation running on the engine of spring... this one is interesting because it's a mouse on the plan of the GPU/CPU power it takes. A true end bottom of the game.

Pilots were all to date and tested OK memory with memtest. I ran several programs benchtest to push/stresstest the CPU and GPU and they crashed at all.

Tried to exchange the components of my PC as memory, graphics card, PSU, and the problem still persisted.

Finally, I said enoughs enough, and we bought him new components.

    We currently have the following

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
    Card mother Gigabyte GA-H67A-UD3H
    Intel Core i5-3450 CPU @ 3.10 GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
    8192 MB Corsair RAM XM3
OCZ 60 GB SATA-2 HARD drive
    NVIDIA 570GTX
    Silent POWER Pro 750W PSU

The only bits I brough of the old system are the memory (tested and OK), SSD and it connects to the TV/monitor even.

And of course the problem persists. The black screens after 2-3 minutes on all directX games, more L4D2. System has all the latest drivers.

Now here's the interesting bit of, I found a game that is completely unaffected by the issue, Unreal 2004... .it is pure coincidence but this game has no problem at all... works very well never fails, all set to full... coincidence? I do not. Isn't this game in OpenGL? I'm sure that his few misenoma DirectX?

I have tried everything I can think about, all the same tests were executed and Im totally stumped. I don't see the point in sending to a store to get some bull * so here I turn to the community for help... then... Help!

Any necessary additional information I can post. Please let me know if you have people from the idea and thank you.

Try installing the latest nvidia drivers. During installation, you are given the opportunity to do a clean install when it first deletes all traces of previous drivers or programs related to nvidia.

When you perform the installation, just install video drivers, sound and physx and return to view the results.

You talked about the tv/monitor, which is it, a TV or monitor? If it comes to a TV, it could be a problem of refresh rate?

You say you traded to memory, but how did you manage to get DDR2 memory from your old computer to a new motherboard that uses DDR3?

  • I would like to have the best possible experience for the games on my laptop and I want to download everything that is necessary for the performance of the games.

I bought a new laptop which has Windows 8. I heard that Windows 8 is new, it only is not automatically provided some 'things' - forgive me for my lack of knowledge in technology. I intend to play games on my new laptop, but according to my knowledge, Windows 8 does not support things like Visual C++ and Directx 9. I am very uncertain about this subject, however. If anyone understands this as am I mean, can you please correct and/or explain more on this topic? I would like to have the best possible experience for the games on my laptop and I want to download everything that is necessary for the performance of the games.

Original title: what's missing in Windows 8?

    Jack

We were all new at one point, so don't worry what you know.  Win 8 is compatible with all previous OS.  It supports C++, and depends on your video card supports DIrectX 9, 10 and 11.

The only thing that doesn't come with win 8 (and since you bought it, it may already be installed) is windows media player.

What exactly are you trying to do, or can you give us more information for we can help you better?

  • Private room for the game

I'm working on a multiplayer chess game. I got it work by using a SharedCollection object that stores each trip. I also have a custom user field that stores the color of the room. For the moment, I have a dial-up connection that connects the user in a node of the Collection which has been previously implemented (after login as a HOST). A lot of people can connect to the game, but the first two visitors become players. It worked very well for the stage of development of my project, but now I want to take it to the next level...

I investigated the MultipleGoups sample application and I think it's a great starting point, but I wish I could have the following scenario:

1 - main chat area where users can challenge other players to a game.

    2. once the challenge is done (click on the opponent), a private room is created and the game then begins between the two people.

My biggest hurdle is to understand how I can implement a system where this would happen without the intervention of a HOST to create a new rooms and CollectionNodes for the game. (Maybe the challenger can become a HOST?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there Justoliver,

    For me it is like

    1. a Hall room where people dispute between them (or maybe several lobbies)

    2. when 2 people accept a challenge, they ping your web server with a kind of RPC call.

    3. your web server then generates a new room for the pair, with the integration of API server and returns the new roomURL to customers 2. The House would be created from a template that contains the nodes in the collection you need (so no need for a host set up).

    4. the 2 people on the head to the new room and the private sector.

So in this case, your web server acts as host to put in place the appropriate rooms. Check out the Developer Guide CAA - Chapter 6 contains details about the construction of this sort of thing.

  • Pavilion 15-ab063cl: Amd Radeon r6 is it appropriate for the game (it's built)

I want to buy Pavilion 15-ab063cl and he have gpu amd Radeon r6. I want to know if it is integrated or not and if it is appropriate for the game?

    Thanks for help

It's graphic APU which meands it goes right into the processor. It is always integrated and not dedicated video and not intended for serious games. If you want to run really demanding games on a laptop you need a portable game special purpose-built and those experiencing a few dollars. HP makes a laptop 'game' that runs around $1500 and it is at best a thing of mid range lower, but still much better than what you are asking about. True gaming laptops start at $2000. The laptop you are asking on maybe run some games to lower settings very well. Integrated video is going is pretty good, but which is like saying you are high 'little person' of the world-not much.

  • Processor upgrade for the games.

    I have a Hp envy with a Core i7-4510u Cpu and a GeForce GTX 850 M.

It works fairly well for the games, but I was wondering if it would be better if I swapped the Cpu for something different, and what models I could exchange it for.

    Hello

What is your computer? It's a laptop? If so, save the money to buy the new machine because the graphics card for a normal laptop upgrade is impossible bunch of costs, more than buying a new, better machine.

    Kind regards.

  • Where is a good place to get the set of patches for old games

    Hello

I've been looking for a good place to get the fixes for older games pc game.  I know that the best place is the site of publishers, but sometimes they stop making them available (e.g. FEAR).  I looked at a few well known places to get them, but they all require way too much personal information.  I don't feel comfortable giving my life away just to get a pc game patch.  It seems just a little scary to me for them to ask a lot of personal information.

The games that I need patches for are Doom 3, Quake 4, AFRAID and prey.
If you know of a good site, please report it.

Wouldn't be nice if Microsoft made a website for it?  Then I could just connect you and get what I need lol.
    Thank you

    Hello Jebidia,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

Yes, I understand your point of wanting to get your money to buy a game.  I recommend you always go to the site of the game manufactures video you must first update.  There are so many third party sites for patches, you want to be sure that it is a trustworthy site.  Please let me know if you have other questions/concerns.

Of course, you can go to the link below for updates on games made by Microsoft/Windows:

  • Roxio gives error for DirectX

    d3dx9_33.dll

Please help me.  I can't get a program... Roxio to work due to the above coming error.  Roxio said it's a mistake for DirectX... I've updated, reinstalled Directx and still does not work.  I tried to get an answer to this all day... Please help

Contrary to what the 2 people above said me, single .dll files downloading from sites is a very bad idea and the exact thing you're NOT supposed to do, as the .dll file could easily contain viruses.

d3dx9_33.dll is part of DirectX 9, and there was a lot of problems just like this one where the file is missing or is damaged. The solution is just to reinstall DirectX 9 and he will crush all the damaged dll files or missing.
