Implicit mode of initiation of GlobalPlatform

Hello world

I ' am, to implement the implementations of scp01 and scp02 on Javacard globalplatform different and I found a problem.

Can someone explain to me how the opening mechanism of secure on the implicit mode channel?

In the specifications I found perfectly describes the explicit path, (pag. 214, E.1.2.1 explicit Secure Channel Initiation, with awesome graphics), but the implicit form is very short...

What are the steps I should follow to do it correctly?

Thank you

The steps are pretty much the same as explicit, except there is no INIT-update commands / EXT - AUTH to treat. When the first secure APDU is received (CLA = 0 x 84) you follow the process in order to generate session keys and check the Mac. The card specification describes how to generate a MAC with session keys.

How can I set Mode APM to disable EN = 85 h: disable the APM (Set Mode-0)

    Hello

You can use either the Toshiba Power Saver that controls also the APM mode or you will remove him this tool and then you will use the Windows power management.
Here, you can change the settings for the APM mode.
Unfortunately the other options to disable the APM Mode are not known to me.

  • Need for visibility on the IPsec protocol: aggressive Mode

    Hello

I have a few doubts about VPN. I already went through a large number of documents. Everybody says something I don't agree with. So please don't view this kind of material in your answer.

Aggressive mode: what I know, there are 3 Exchange for aggressive mode. Initiator in the first message sends the ID parameters, DH, HIS (IP address, domain name FULL). Then the answering machine (2nd MSG) reacts with the SA settings, DH, ID, HASH_R, then the initiator (3rd MSG) responds with HASH_I and PHASE 1 is established here.

As the initiator and the responder IDs are sent in clear text, so we say that aggressive mode is not course.

DH is used to exchange keys between peers. DH, negotiates and then generate a SECRET_KEY which in turn, is used to encrypt the symmetric key. We have SA parameters for encryption, hash, authentication.

    Here are my questions:

    (a) all of ITS parameters, IDs, DH traded first and second messages. The third message from the initiator is to send to HASH_I. Now, I don't see at all any use of DH in this mode, no encryption (payload ISAKAMP is not encrypted).  A single phase 1 aims to build a secure layer of management so that the PHASE connection 2 (data connection) may establish under a secure layer (PHASE 1). Now, I see that in aggressive mode we are not able to achieve this secure layer. So, what's the point of having encryption algorithms and DH in PHASE 1 if they are never used? Instead of skip PHASE 1 and we can have the PFS in Phase 2 for serving as a DH and we were hashing algorithms, encryption too.

    (b) the PRE SHARED KEY is actually shared via connect using the DH? Or just a HASH of PRE-SHARED-KEY is generated and sent on the connection for authentication?

    (c) why the aggressive mode can be used for dynamic addressing and not the main mode?

If please answer queries and correct me if I am wrong somewhere.

    Thank you

    Rakesh Kumar

(a). theoretically, jumping Phase 1 and done everything in Phase 2 (for aggressive mode only) would probably be a good idea to make it safer.  However, this would require a complete redesign of the IKE protocol.  As you probably already know, aggressive mode is used by default only for VPN remote access, and I've never seen used for a site to any of the customers that I came in contact.  In aggressive mode, in my opinion, would be used only in situations where a large number of VPN tunnels are built and demolished all the time (as with RA VPN) to save on material resources.  But... It is what it is, not a very safe to use method.

    (b) the pre-shared key is used to create a hash and this hash is sent to the remote peer.  If the remote peer can create the same hash using its own pre-shared key, then peers know they share the same secrets.  The problem with aggressive mode is that the hash is sent in plain text format, so if an attacker is able to capture these data they could preform a brute force offline attack.

(c). I think that this has to do with the fact that the aggressive mode sends its identity in text clear and not must therefore not be pre-configured as a peer answer as it does with tunnels with addresses static at both ends.

I'm afraid this doesn't seem to be something that's going to work. Protected Mode player won't allow printing to a printer that is already installed on the system. Your options are either:

    1. install the printer before launching the player with this command line (perhaps install the printer through the same custom application that try to print the PDF file), GOLD,.

    2 disable the Protected Mode

Sorry, that I couldn't be useful here.

  • CTRL + ENTER no longer works in the bar of navigation in 3.6.13

CTRL-ENTER has always been a standard feature in the navigation bar (URL / address bar). For example, you type only "getfirefox' in the bar and then press Ctrl + Enter and it auto the http://www and the".com"and sends the request, so you are taken to http://www.getfirefox.com without having to type anything other than"getfirefox"and Ctrl-Enter.

It stopped working when I updated to 3.6.13. Also, I can't type a full URL and just press ENTER to submit. The only way I can cause the browser to access the URL I entered manually, place the cursor of the mouse on the "right arrow" icon at the right end of the window of the URL and click this icon.

As you can imagine, it's really boring. I've disabled all my addons (I figured well Firebug or Web Developer of the origin of the problem) and the problem still persisted in all cases. I reinstalled Firefox 3.6.13 and the problem is always the same. I wonder if it has anything to do with Firefox 4 beta is installed on my system. But I don't mean to use them at the same time.

I seem to remember someone saying recently AVG can cause this kind of problem, but you don't mention using that.

Try to use the questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode but initially when you get the first screen to come do not change using the button continue. Take a look on

    * Hi there *.

I would like to ask my help address the issue of how that detect the battery of the laptop. 20 days for newly purchased laptop 2 days ago and came up with this error is that it does not recognize the battery. and if not it would put us in the usual place.

    Hello

Keep the AC adapter plugged into the laptop for a longer period of time.
In some cases, the battery supports a mode of initial charge.
In this case, the battery starts to charge after a certain time.

But in the worst case if the battery would not always be detected, try to report it to a Toshiba service partner in your country. It might be possible that your battery is defective.

  • FPGA Subvi Multiple Instances

    Hey,.

It is sort of a basic question, and I don't know how at the height, I'm on the vocabulary of LabView FPGA. I did a machine States that performs a task, and I want two of these state machines is running at the same time. So, I created a Subvi with the state machine and placed two calls to them in the top level VI.

The problem is when I run the VI of highest level in interactive mode, the initial contributions are locked, and subsequent changes to the entries does nothing. So, basically there is something I don't understand. I imagining me signals propagating VI of highest level for two instances of the subVIs instead of the initial values being stored.

    What I am doing wrong?

    Thank you

    Kevin

    Hello kevin.key,

The difference between the two parts of the code that you fixed is that the code in the while loop will run several times until it stopped while the code without the loop will only run one and then stops.

Your Subvi begin values based on the values of input passed your top VI. These values will be updated every time your Subvi is called from your albums VI. To do this your top VI has a loop for continuous data and your Subvi should independently of your albums looping VI. The reason why the values in your front panel are not getting updated is because there is no loop in your top VI. If you include a loop that values will update each time the loop runs, which occurs only after the entire interior of the loop ends, including the Subvi.

If you have access to a computer with LabVIEW on it try to start live using the run culminating to see the behavior of your Subvi.

  • Problem of password blackBerry Smartphones Verizon 8830 mass/device storage

I'm having a problem with my Verizon BB 8830 v4.5.0.33 of the device running software. The problem is that when the BB is connected to a workstation via USB and asks the device password turn on mass storage mode, he initially accepts password correctly and I am able to see the content of the support for 8 GB card that I inserted on the device via Windows Explorer. But then, when you start to navigate the files using Windowes Explorer, the second you try to manipulate the files (copy to media card), the device acts as if it is disconnected and he asks the device password again. I can re - enter the password and the device will go through the movements being detected by Windows and finally presents itself as a mass via the Explorer storage device but as soon as I try to manipulate the files again, it disconnects and asks for a password again and again.

    Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!

Well, then I answered my own question. The firmware update did the trick. It must have been a great dans.33 that caused this because it happens is no longer on 4.5.0.101.

  • I have to use PFS on ASA VPN?

    Hello

I've been setting up some VPN clients on my Cisco ASA, some use the PFS option and others do not.

    What is the point?

In the first package of quick mode, the initiator sends the identity information, proposal of the Association of security IPSec, Nonce payload and payload the key exchange (KE) optional in the case of Perfect Forward secret (PFS) is used

Perfect forward secret (PFS) is a cryptographic technique where newly created keys are unrelated to a key generated previously. With PFS enabled, Cisco ASA security generates a new set of keys that is used when negotiating IPSec Phase 2. Without PFS, the Cisco ASA uses keys of Phase 1 during the negotiations of Phase 2. The Cisco ASA uses Diffie-Hellman Group 1, 2, 5 and 7 for PFS to generate the keys. Diffie-Hellman Group 1 uses the size of 768-bit module to generate the keys, while group 2 uses 1024 bits and group 5 uses a size of 1536-bit module. Group 7, where the field size curve elliptical 163 bits, is designed for faster calculation of the keys usually used by the Group 5 Pocket PC is the safest technique but more general treatment. The syntax for setting up PFS is

    card crypto-name of the seq - num map set pfs {group1: group2 | group5 | work.7}

  • EIM 4.3 supervisors

    Hello

He seems to be having problems getting my supervisor transfer emails to a specific built-in agent ID's

Can anyone here point me to what capabilities an integrated controller has vs a stand-alone controller?

    From what I can tell.

    Integrated controller

Can draw from the queue of the Exception

Can have agents in his team, and he can discover the agents. However, he is unable to see their tasks, or pull the emails from them.

Can transfer to the built-in queue.

    Stand alone supervisor

Can draw from the queue of the Exception

Can pull emails to built-in agents

Cannot forward emails to other built-in agents, cannot transfer emails to integrated queues.

Can't transfer to the queue of the exception.

Am I right on that? If so, it seems that if I needed my superiors to have a built-in login and a standalone connection.

    Thanks for your help!

    Barry

Built-in agents can only transfer to the integrated queues.

To resolve this problem, I created a selector script for each agent associated with a type of call that runs a simple script and with a queue to the node of the Agent. Script selector has the name of the agent and the number of devices in the agent at the end, and the script removes the number with the substring for the queue function to the node of the Agent. All agents are in a group of special jurisdiction that is mapped to a SG of the company, with a course of business as required for the queue to the Agent in implicit mode.

Then in CRUMB I created a queue for each agent using the special script Chooser and baptized with the name of the agent. It works fine - no necessary EIM workflows.

We have created a user/administrator not integrated in order to clean the queues etc-, but only that of Exception.

    Kind regards

    Geoff
