Import Export to different storage spaces

Anyone know if there is a way to export from a database (creating a dmp file) and then import into another database to different storage spaces? I tried this and got this error:
ORA 959. He complained that the tablespace does not exist (that what is not). Is it possible that I can change the export or import of settings to avoid this and just use the default storage space?

I may well be missing the point here, so feel free to tell me that I'm being a fool.

Thank you
Johan

Hi tables with LOB, etc. mandatory partitioned tables requires the same space of tables in the destination database.
so maybe in your case it happened. General tables will always get import without fail.

We are at ODI 10.1.3.5. We exported again project with children DEV instance components and wanted to import the XML file that was exported in the TEST instance using the synonym INSERT mode. We have some of the interfaces whose names are identical in the different old project instances DEV and TEST. If import us the new XML project file in the TEST instance with synonym INSERT, it causes a problem? What is the best approach to deal with import/export between different instances when the object names are the same between projects? I would be grateful if someone responds with suggestions.

    Thanks in advance

It is not really important that the names are the same. Each object in ODI is assigned a unique object ID and this is what is used when an import is performed in order to determine the measures taken in the repsitory of the target. As long as this ID does not match an ID that already exists in your target repository, then you will be ok if you use synonym insert, although I suggest using synonym Insert/Update. Part of the object ID is the ID of the repository that being exported from the origin, so as long as you repsitory unique ID across your environments (basic good practices), you should not type any important issue-based.

  • Storage spaces for different size tables

    Hello

I have a situation that everyone has probably, so I would go into more detail about this.
Working with databases with different objectives, a single OLTP and OLAP one another, the two tables with different sizes... some with 1 M, some with 100 M and others with 150 G or more.

Recommendation of the Oracle, so the suite all storage spaces are created in the form of LMT, but I don't know if I can put something else to optimize performance, such as reading or writing, once the databases have different objectives and therefore with different behaviors.

If someone could help me how I should give attention, I really appreciate.
The version of database can be regarded as 10g and 11g.

    Thank you.

    Alex

No, really no need to worry about direct allocation tablespace in realtion to the performance of the queries. There are some operations such as the allocation of file extensions and tablespace performance impact scope object, but it can be difficult to see this. Just make sure your expandable size of file on the data files extension is large enough so that the next object needing another measure will also not wait as the file expand. With the maximum of a measure in a size auto-allouer tablespace is 64 M, a volume of measure G 1 file would be 16 degrees of object so 15 additional objects may expand (at this size) before a another file extension becomes necessary.

What to do is determine if you want to count automatic sur-affectation to manage measurement of object allocations or to use uniform extensions so that each measure in the tablespace is the same size. If you use uniform extensions then you must make a choice of the same size for all or separate objects in small object and object of large size tablespaces and use a different scale for each size. Maybe 512K for small and 8 M wide. It's just a matter of how you want to manage your tablespace usage and growth.

  • How to create the same storage space in the database of test as in production

    I used the following commands:

Now I'm looking for the incompatible options between (10 gr 2) expdp and impdp (11 GR 2)... and if include = TABLESPACE should be replaced by choice...

During this time... is there something that can tell me if I make mistakes?

    Tanks

    Hello

The expdp command you listed in your first post may not work. You have exclude and include in the same order.

Exclude said excluding these items but includes everything.

Include says include only these objects and exclude everything else.

If you use the command expdp of your second post, there is no tablespace objects in a schema export. Include = tablespace will only recreate the tablespaces and not objects in storage. If you want to do this, you must delete the schema = MDLOG and add the full = Y. Tablespace definitions are included in a full export.

What is your ultimate goal? You want just the definitions of tablespace moved? If so

complete expdp = include = tablespace directory =...

If you want all the storage space and the objects in these storage spaces, so I think it would be 2 steps:

complete expdp = include = tablespace directory...
    expdp tablespaces = tbs1, tbs2,... happy = metadata_only...

You have not need of content = data_only, but you had it on two orders expdp so I guess that's what you wanted, so I added it.

If you have a different purpose, then publish it and I'll see what I can find.

    Dean

p.s. If you want to see what items are included in a particular mode you can query sys.datapump_paths. Het_type is the mode

  • How can I keep IE and FireFox Favorites in local sync to my PC only, without the use of an external server or import/export?

FireFox Sync is not an option, because the use of an external server is not allowed.
Use of third-party modules is not really an option.
Import/export is inefficient because it is not put them in the same exact place in every browser.

I am happy to be able to use the same favorites/bookmarks file if it is an option.

    Thank you

    You do not have.

Sorry, IE and Firefox use different methods of storage Favorites / Bookmarks to data that are not compatible with the other program.

Page level import/export using the App Builder is only possible when the request and workspace have the same ID.

It can be done in SQL * more or using SQL Developer apex_application_install API, but the simple workaround is to simply import the entire application and copy the page between applications. Export the entire application, import it in the target workspace, navigate to a page in the application, select Create > new page as a copy, copy the page of any app.

  • upgrade in import export

    Hi all

We will upgrade our Oracle dedicated to the peoplesoft FSCM9 11.1.0.7 to 11.2.0.4 system database.

    So in two ways:

    1. 11.1.0.7 EXPORT-MANY-> create an empty 11.2.0.4 data-> IMPORT COMPLETE 11.2.0.4 database

2-EXPORT schema SYSADM 11.1.0.7-> create a vacuum 11.2.0.4 database, create spaces for storage->, IMPORT a SCHEMA of 11.2.0.4 database

the first path is less complicated since we don't not to create storage space.

Who would be more effective or safer? What are the disadvantages of the FULL export/import?

    Do you have another solution?

    Thank you.

    Or manual, Yes.

  • 11.1.2.1 in 11.1.2.3 Classic migration - Import/Export

    Hello all -

I exported my 11.1.2.1 .xml file and tried to import into my application of FDM Classic 11.1.2.3 through the Workbench.  I received an error message:

"3108 selected XML file is based on an old level of schema (1112100).  A scheme (1112300) or higher is required for this version of FDM. »

The schema upgrade tool seemed to want to just update my application of FDM - there - there a trick to getting the. XML in the correct import form?

    Thank you

    Sarah

You cannot import a lower level XML schema in a higher level DB schema.

To migrate your application FDM 11.1.2.1. you will need to use to add the 11.1.2.1 request to the 11.1.2.3 enviornment and then run the schema update utility to upgrade the 11.1.2.1 database application of the 11.1.2.3 level schema.

    If you are using Oracle:

    1. Use the Oracle database utilities to perform an excerpt of the Oracle user schema in the Source of FDM environment in a .dmp file.
    2. Copy the .dmp environmental source above the FDM 11.1.2.3 Oracle Database Server environment.
    3. In the target environment, create a new schema/user Oracle for the database of the FDM application and corresponding storage that exist in the source Oracle database server environment. * Please see Guide DBA recommended FDM Hyperion for more information on storage space and settings for the Oracle database.  This guide is available on the Oracle Technology Network.
    4. Use the Oracle database utilities to import the .dmp since the environment of the source file in the schema user newly generated in the 11 x Oracle database environment. * Note: this process must be performed by the Oracle database administrator.

Step #2: Copy the application directory of FDM since environmental Source FDM on FDM 11.1.2.3 environment.

    1. Launch the Client of Workbench FDM in FDM source environment and choose in the application.  Connect on the Workbench as a power user.
    2. A list of FDM applications will be returned. Highlight the application that is being migrated in the environment 11 x, and then choose Edit
    3. The path of the Application is displayed. The part that stores the directories of the application of FDM (\\servername\sharename\appname) must be copied to the 11.1.2.3 environment.
    4. Share application of FDM in the 11.1.2.3 environment allowing the FDM service fully share account and the NTFS permissions in the directory.

Step #3: Add the Application to the 11.1.2.3 environment

    1. In the 11.1.2.3 environment launch the established client and choose
    2. Connect on the Workbench with a user of the application of FDM that was migrated. The user must be a user who could connect to the previous s environment application.
    3. Click on the Add button when the screen of the application is returned.
    4. Fill in the data base of the screen, add an Application and general tabs

    General tab:
    (i) name: name of the FDM application. This must match the name of the folder of the application within the part of the application. (i.e. \\servername\share\app1) would app1 informed in this area.
(II) description: if necessary application FDM description
(III) app Path: UNC path to the directory copied the application (i.e. \\servername\share\appname)
(IV) group app: select the Group of application of fdm in the drop created in shared services

    Database tab:
    (i) select the OLE DB provider that is appropriate in the drop-down list. OLEDB. ORACLE for Oracle or SQLOLEDB databases for SQL Server databases.

(II) service: enter the name of the Oracle Service for the environment 11 x Oracle database that contains the schema of Application FDM that was imported
Database server: name of the Microsoft SQL Server database server for the x 11 environment
Database Name: Application name database that has been restored in the environment 11 x of FDM
(III) user/schema: Oracle database schema in x 11 environment this .dmp file has been imported.
Password: password of the Oracle schema/user

Step #4: Use Schema Update Utility to update database from the Application of the 11.1.2.3 schema level

    1. Choose Start > programs > Oracle EPM system > Management of the quality of financial data > Workbench > update schema
    2. Choose the Application that has been upsized in the drop-down list of the applications and connect with native user was created in the services shared and used to add the application. Appear in a new screen showing the name of the application and the level of current schema. Click Run to update the database from the application of the 11.1.2.3 level schema.
  • Import/export sequences, synonyms...?

    Hello.

    I m work whit Oracle9i on Windows2K3

I'm doing some test with the IMP/EXP utility and I have some doubts...

I m trials of two ways to restore a tablespace:

    The first condition:

I ve implemented a tablespace with the comand "exp file = c:\tablespace.dmp tablespaces = OMITTED.

Then I ve dropped this tablespace with «drop constraint cascade tablespace»

Finally, I ve to restore this tablespace using the Exp "Exp file = c:\tablespace.dmp fromuser = touser = IMO IMO.

In this way, in addition to the tables and indexes. all other objects was also important.

Tablespace Omis has been completely restored.

However, the other way is to export the tablespace FAILED on the same way, but instead of delete only this tablespace, I ve delete the entire database, simulating a worst-case scenario.

Then, I create the database again, including the owner user objects and storage space.
After that, I use the same EXP command as before and tables and indexex are imported, but all other objects like synonyms, sequences, functions or procedures outside of other not appear in the schema...

Can someone explain why this is happening?

There is something beyond my comprehension...

    Thank you

If you're looking to export only the specified tables, you can use the clause for TABLES in 9i

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B10501_01/server.920/a96652/CH01.htm#1005947

I don't think, otherwise, you can choose no matter what. The script generation feature will generate DDL for objects and does include all the data.

If you upgrade to the latest version of the database (GR 11, 2), you get many filtering options more in datapump, who would eventually make this easier.

  • FEI import/export to the 11g

    Hi all

I exported my analytic workspace in an EIF file and imported into a different analytic workspace. The analytic workspace that I imported was already built in the dimensions and cubes. Before importing files from FEI, I deleted workspace analytical using AWM and then imported. Import successful without error then when I care what happens to views as AWM automatically created in my any analytic workspace. How can I apply drop old dimension/cube views and create new views of my file of FEI? because in my case my scheme still had old views of old AW objects instead of creating EIF file views.

The problem, I noticed was when I tried to update the cubes using the DBMS_CUBE package. I was getting following error my Build evoking the views of my old cube.

    Dietsch,

    This looks like

BUG 9761434 - OBJECTS of KGL NOT EMPTIED OF ALL EXADATA during the OPERATION of DELETING AW NŒUDS

The fundamental problem is that the old definition of the AW gets stored in the 'shared pool', also known as "kgl", a CCR node after the AW is deleted. If you immediately create an AW with the same name in another RAC node, the system can get confused. The solution is to cause

    alter system flush shared_pool;

    in all RAC nodes.

  • recorded 60 p video import/export company

Been recording and download of 60i HD images in Final Cut Pro X successfully for years. Thinking about conversion HD 60 p for some work of the company. When I changed the setting on my camcorder to 60i at 60 p today, I got a warning message about this recording format is not not compatible with some import/export formats. I've also seen the available recording time memory card reduced from 7 1/2 hours to only 2 1/2 hours.

What of the 60 p able to be imported into FCPX for editing images? Do I need other software encoding? OK to export? I would like to get additional information on this if possible. Thank you.

It would be useful to know the exact device you're talking about.

60i is a stupid convention adopted by the camera companies to specify 60 frames of half resolution, two fields make a full frame. 60i is correctly 29.97i, which is the correct cadence, no 60, or 30. 60 p is actually 59,94 complete images and therefore takes more data to record material which is half of the cadence. It will also use a high data rate to achieve the same level of apparent quality.

You don't need anything extra to work with media 59,94. Keep in mind the output files will be at a high data rate and take more space.

  • storage space loser iPhones

    Hello-

I'm in the IT Dept of my company.  We have several iphones everywhere in the company.  I have two specific users who have phones 16 GB.  It seems that since these two users have done the 9.3 update iOS, they lost all their storage space.  I was able to fix that backup to iCloud, reset the phone and restore.  The two returned to the neighborhood of 9 GB of available.  They both were doing the upgrade to 9.3.1 and it's the same thing.  From one day to the next, all the free space seems to have disappeared.  They gave me the phone and I did once more the thing backup and restore to recover their space (just did last week).  I just heard them today and they both lose the space quickly.  It disappeared completely and the other fell to 2 GB.  Nor said that they added something important for phones.  Looking at the space used in the storage to manage, add the number simply to zero.

Nor has loaded the App Whatsapp.  Any thoughts on what could happen?  Both are models of the iPhone 6.

    Thank you-

They use the flow of photos from iCloud, feature photo library or music Apple?

If so, try disabling these features and see if the free space is always getting lost.

Go to settings > iCloud > storage > storage to manage and then click on the device (if you have more than one synchronization to iCloud). You will then see a screen with a list of what is sync to iCloud. You can browse this list and uncheck the things that you do not need synchronization.

You can also import your photos on your computer and delete all or part of your phone in order to free up space:
