Import from a Sony HDR-XR500V

Hi guys, noob here.

I've been digging around on the internet and I can't find an answer to this.

I recently bought a Sony Handycam HDR-XR500V. The camera is a 1080 p hd camera (sorry I don't really know much care) but I know that a friend warned me about buying a camera with a hard drive because of the difficulties that I downloaded. Stupidly, I bought this camera and I'm pulling my hair out trying to get my created video.

I run Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and the software does not detect my camera even when the computer does. Sony has me download through a program called Picture Motion Browser instead, that came with the camcorder. Then it stores it in a weird file format (mt2?). The software gives me the options to convert wmv or mpeg2, but when I convert wmv picture quality becomes caliber cell phone and when I convert it to mpeg2 and import adobe cannot load the sound file.

If I can find a way of

-Import in CS3 directly

or

-Convert to mpeg2 and always maintain the sound

So problem solved

I desperately need it for a project due this week and I hope that you guys don't mind my noobness

Thank you! = D

The problem is not the camera but CS3, it does not support AVCHD.

You need convert a format Pro includes as AVCHD VASTT mechanism.

  • Import from camera to Lightroom Mobile

I imported just a few pictures from my Sony a6000 Lightroom mobile over wifi. I was happy that I could do it, but then I found that I couldn't do things with files, even after I opened the in Lightroom desktop. For example, I wanted to merge to HDR, and he has not made the (no error message). This copy operation because they are virtual, is more raw?  Or if I don't neglect a step?

RAW images from the camera are supported on the desktop but not on the Mobile with Lightroom.

  • After Effects CS5 and Sony HDR - SR1 AVCHD (.) MTS file format)

    Hello world

I just started with After Effects, and I the only video camera I have is an old Sony HDR - SR1 camera, which records in 1080i and uses the AVCHD file format. I recorded some videos, in which I went to try and import them into After Effects. The program came up with this error: "error effects: '0020.MTS' cannot be imported - this".mts"file is damaged or not supported." I understand that this error is quite common, but I do not understand how to fix it. I've tried the Media Encoder, and the videos that come out are videos of nothing like horrible quality than videos recorded on the camera. I also tried included Picture Motion Browser from Sony (I have the latest version) and when I try to convert, the video also released horrible quality always has these annoying lines on the video. Help, please!

    Thank you!

In fact, EI must recognize the AVCHD video, because I imported one of my recoedings, which is 1080 p MTS to EI, and it worked. Maybe the problem is in 1080i. I still have her deinterlace my 1080i files and then import them to AE. You can try to deinterlace your files and then import them to AE.

Regarding deinterlacing, you can google or you can give brorsoft mts converter, which I use now to try. It has a codec for AE and Adobe Premiere, wchich make it easier to import files to the AE. In addition, you can convert your 1080i MPEG-2 files and then import them to AE.

  • Adobe Premiere CS4 and Sony HDR SR 11 camera

    Hi all

I looked for additional help on this and I'm not, so I was hoping some of you with more experience I could help me.

I have a Sony HDR SR 11 camera and when I import AVCHD files on my computer I used the latest version of the sony PMB software. When I import the M2TS files in the first there are a lot of digital noise in the preview. Sometimes, when I made the images of the camera, everything seems fine, but other times the video will jump once its rendering. The object or the person in the video flashes or come and go. Think about how they used to do back in the 1980s Max Headroom if you're familiar with this. The sound is fine, but the video jumps after rendering.

Y at - it something I'm doing wrong with that? I relaize I can not provided enough information, but I'm not sure what all you may need to know. So, please if you want more information, let me know.

I would be grateful for any guidance.

Finally, I know that you cannot change a project preset once you start a new project, but is there a way to display the preset you have selected once the project is opened?

Yes, with the active timeline go into settings of sequence/sequence and it is posted.

Take a look at the third guide. He mentions of Vista, but in general also applies to Win7: How to get the best from a PC? Some guides...

Specifically, look at the http://www.blackviper.com/Windows_7/servicecfg.htm guide. Many have found that tuning services will give you a significant performance gain.

  • Sony HDR-XR520VE - Premiere Pro CS4-not of his

I have a Sony HDR-XR520VE and Premiere Pro CS4 who I take the files from the camcorder (movieformat is *.m2ts), and imported for PP, I can't be on the icon in the project Panel, there are movies and sounds. Then I drag and drop it in the source/trim panel, the sound is missing. But if I take the film of the project Panel and drop directly to the timeline, the two film and the sound is OK. Why missing sound then I drop in the Source/trim panel, and what can I do to solwed this problem?

Use only stereo, not 5.1 or you may need to demux and convert to WAV/PCM 48 KHz/16-bit stereo first.

  • Hey how can guys, I use a microphone for Sony HDR-PJ410?

What are the external microphones compatible with this camcorder? I asked support Chat and say what they

"You must first connect the external microphone to the microphone of the camera port". Where is the microphone port?

    Hello, jeffrufino!

I'm sure that it is not possible to use an external microphone for Sony HDR-PJ410 doesn't have an external mic port. I looked in the manual for this product from Sony, and I can't find anything on the attachment of an external mic. So, I don't think you can use an external microphone with this camcorder.

    Best regards

  • I have a Sony HDR - HC3 HDV and want to download only the parts of a video

I have been using a Sony HDR - HC3 Handycam HDV1080i VCR for many years and have been able to download parts of a video on the part of the band whenever I wanted to.  The camera recently died and I replaced it with an exact version that I still had the band to download videos, so I decided to buy a used recorder which manages the same MiniDV tapes.  When I go to download the only now allows me to download the whole band or nothing.  Someone can explain why this is and is anyway to download portions at a time?   I save machines under tension and can pass from one to the other before I had a chance to download them.

    Thank you

    Hi Paul,.

1 is that the question borders on any particular video?

    2. what version of Windows operating system is installed on your computer?
