Import ICS files to Calendar attachments

It is a wish.

It would be awesome if I could import from an e-mail attachment to the ICS format calendar entries.

It's nearly Christmas!

Hi Indiana,.

Here's my workaround suggestion.

On your desktop, IE, go to http://Calendar.live.com

* Click on subscribe.

* Make sure that you have selected radio button for "import an ICS file.

* Access the file ics of your choice

* Click Import calendar

I would like to know how it works for you.

Thank you

Alex

  • Why the hell don't lightning let me import .ics file in my current schedule?

I'm starting to regret using Thunderbird and Lightning rather than Outlook. At least Microsoft was smart enough (for once) to allow an appointment stored in .ics file to import into my calendar. Lightning requires me to create a new calendar for a single date. That's all just stupid. At the time wherever I'll be back with a doctor/dentist appointment, there is already an email with a file .ics with relevant information on my next appointment already sitting in my mailbox. I can't do anything useful with it without going back to Outlook.

Looking for a way to do what I want to tell all go to file-> new-> calendar. I don't want a new timetable for this. I don't need a separate calendar for each single event/appointment. Intuitively, they should all be able to be imported into the calendar of my choice. At the time when physical calendars were the way this was done, you (or your parents) buy a new calendar for every appointment, day of vacation, meeting, etc., you had? Why should it be different for electronic calendars?

If you use the instructions above to create a new calendar, you will get a new calendar.
If you try to add an event, then you will use the import option on the tab events and tasks.
I also read that you can drag and drop the file in the component today but I've never tried.

  • How can import you programmatically ics files?

My work used MS Exchange, and I like meetings of export business of ics files so that I can import them into the calendar from Apple to get the recall of them on my iPhone. I need to manually answer the guest with cancel/ok right here. I change the calendar name setting window title parameter 'Add' and default home', but it's still stuck there.

I found importing ics files was something that I forgot to do it manually, so I came with a Hazel rule that uses the Apple script to automate it.

My Hazel applies to my Dropbox to 'follow' folder and my download folder. the ICS work/other files will happen through Dropbox, and those of my macbook, where the rule is executed, are saved in the folder downloads.

Hazel detects the ics file, run the applescript and finally moves the file to the trash folder. The script has reliably namely when the calendar app is done by importing the ics file, so I hardcoded a delay at the end of the script so far. Without the delay, Hazel will try to move the file before it has been imported. You will get an error message from the calendar app that it cannot process the file when this happens.  You may need to play late, if your system takes a long time to import the ics file.

    Use case:

Many of my social networking sites allows you to export the events under ics file to import into your calendar. In addition, my employer uses MS Exchange to schedule meetings, and if you forward a meeting to your personal e-mail address, all in session sees. If instead, you export the ics meeting and import, your information is secure

  • Mail crashes when importing MBOX files

Mail crashes instantly when I select a MBOX file to be imported. In the brief moment before crashing it creates a folder to import and an MBOX, but the MBOX is empty.

A few days ago I had a MBOX to import. It appears in the Library/Mail/V3/boxes to the letters/folder, then the MBOX container keeps messages from work. However, this MBOX does not appear in the sidebar.

I went to a backup clone made shortly after the installation of El Capitan. I have replaced Mail and every file relating to mail that was in my user library. This leads to crashes instantly every time instead of intermittent partially blocks by an import.

I made a secure boot boot. The problem remains.

Reason 49 on why it is wrong to let the snow leopard. I wouldn't have moved to the Mail except that Outlook 2011 cannot search for emails or run unread simple as filters. (Recommendation from Microsoft is to buy Office 2016).

Any ideas on how to fix the post other than to reinstall El Capitan?

I have more information. I started in Snow Leopard and opened Mail 4.6. He had no problem importing the files MBOX to Outlook emails and attachments. I started to El Capitan. I deleted the folder/Library/Mail. I launched Mail 9.2. He created a new folder/Library/Mail that had obviously, no emails. I imported into the Mail 4.6 Mail folder. Everything imported perfectly. Yay! I then tested the capacity of 9.2 mail to import a MBOX to Outlook-created file small. Immediate crash.

I hope that the problem was that Outlook 2011 on El Capitan generates corrupt MBOX files, but appears not to be the case. They looked good in BBEdit. Outlook had no difficulty to import.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones import/export of contacts, calendar, etc.

    Hello

I'm trying to transfer my data from my old Nokia to my new BB9900. I hope that the current version of the Desktop software is something like version-1, because I consider that it is entirely insufficient. I expect that this software allows to export/import contacts and other data. This would change/upgrade to update these data using tools more comfortable to my Mac instead of typing any change in my BB. However, nothing like this is available.

In addition, when you back up contacts, calendar etc. is is rather not transparent what happens. The program seems to ignore the selection 'calendar' or anything else and everything just records to my Mac. And - see above - in a proprietary format that does not yet use of these data.

Yes, this message is responsible for someone @ rim. Simply for the fact that the www.blackberry.com site does not provide a link "contacts" were, we could send these complaints.

Gotcha.  I don't know how you try to import the csv file.  Did you use this guide?

I also found this link because you are using a mac.

If you have a csv file good, you may need to start over if you are not using the guide above.

    Another option:

I had a similar problem.  I deleted all the contacts on the phone and ended up importing the csv file in gmail.  I set up my account gmail on the phone and everyone stood on the device.  What e-mail service, are you using?

  • How can I extract the files of calendar?

Thank you for the review of this post.  I appreciate any help you can provide.

I recently bought a new win 7.  My tech copied all my old data from the previous machine to a single folder on my new machine.

I have a few Palm data... But it has not imported the TX model will not be installed on my Win 7 machine, so I have to achieve this through Palm Desktop.  (I have read that could be caused by the fact that I went to version 6 of the palm software and tried to import).

Quite simply, here's my problem: I just want to really get my calendar information.  I'll probably use a program different schedule in the near future.

How can I extract the data from the calendar since raw files?  (Calendar.dat, etc.) ???

I have TO import or somehow go through the Palm software, or is it possible outside of Palm?

I THINK that this cannot be something too difficult, but I am so stuck and missing an appointment every day.

I am very grateful for your help.

With the version of the data files you have, you will need to install Palm Desktop 4.1.4e or 4.2. You will need to uninstall Palm Desktop 6.2, if that's what you have installed currently. With the .dat extension files are not compatible with PD 6.2.

Another thing to consider is the Win7 version you have installed. If you have the 64-bit version, you will only be able to sync wireless using bluetooth, infrared, or wi - fi. On your PC, go to the computer icon and right-click. Look at the page and see if it says 64 bit any where. If you have the 32-bit version, you can synchronize via USB cable method, but you must ensure that you have the correct version of installed PD.

In PD .dat files, you will need to go to the folder of user name on the drive of the program and paste the files in the appropriate subfolder. Make sure that the PD is closed. Go to c-program files-palm and find the folder user of PD. Once you find the file, search for the subfolders of this folder for address (this is the contacts folder), calendar (calendar), memos, and tasks. Paste the address.xxx files in the folder of the address, the file datebook.xxx in the folder of the agenda, etc.. Once the files in the respective locations, open PD and see if the data is there. If this is the case, you can then set the synchronization according to your version of Win7, either wireless or USB.

  • Office loses datebook categories after export & import the file dba.

    Hello

After reading a lot of posts, I can't find any that have reported a similar problem, so here it is.  Office loses datebook categories after export & import of a file of dba.  I use Palm Desktop by Access v6.2.2 and a Verizon Centro.  This problem has nothing to do with the synchronization.  I just exported my calendar of events in a DBA file, import the same file and all event categories have been set to "unclassified".  Is this a known bug, or perhaps, the s/n file includes no category information?

I'm really curious to know if the dba file (archive date?) contains information catergory.

    Thanks in advance,

    CentroIllinois.

    Hello!

A bit of a limitation of Palm Desktop.  Before you import the file s/n, manually add the category nanes via change categories and then try again to import the file dba.  Due the category names must be exactly the same spelling and spacing as before when they were exported.

  • Could not import data files to the aba format or mdb.bak

My operating system has a virus that resulted in the reinstallation of the operating system since I was an old m105 Palm, I did no original software... So I downloaded the software palmOne and then when I tried to import my file of address aba. file, it does not recognize.

This is very important information for me what I do?

OK, here's where we are at. If the files you have, they are Palm desktop 6.2 (and therefore the .mdb format).

There are a few things that we can try.

You have the file address.aba.old and it looks like a pretty nice size file.

Rename address.aba that I hope that the name of the file that he had previously.

Try to import that in palm desktop.

IF this does not work then proceed to the next step.

Go to www.palm.com/us and download palm desktop 6.2.

Once you have installed create a username in palm desktop, and then open Palm Desktop and switch between each of the applications on the left side, this will create all of their records.

Now that you have this configuration navigate to start/documents/palm os desktop/user name

User name will be the name of hotsync, you created in palm desktop.

When you go to this folder, you will see addresses, calendar, etc.

Now, open the folder of the address where you will see a file address.mdb delete it. Then take the address.mdb.old file and rename it address.mdb and throw to the folder of the address.

Close this and reopen the palm desktop and see if you see your address.

I know that sounds quite confusing, but it sounds really more confusing it is.

One thing that I recommend is little matter that do not cut and paste, copy always this way you will always have the original files in case something goes wrong.

Used to work okay at these levels of output. No idea what changed. The original file of reminder provided by GoToWebinar is a .ics file, but FF shows a .js file type to the ReminderFox/tools/file/Options / (preferably file type) instead of .ics. The drop-down list type file preferably shows only .js and all (but claims that the .ics file is not a valid file type). FF will fill the file with .ics type, which matches the type provided by the download of GoToWebinar.

I sent an email on this subject in an e-mail of support for reminder Fox. No response, but note that the process works correctly now.
Thanks for your help. I consider this issue closed.

I have the macbook pro (OS 10.6.8) and the iphone 6 s. The latest version of iTunes is 11.4. When it is connected to the MAC, I get the message that itunes must be upgraded. How to synchronize or import/export files(images/music)?  Fact is need to update itunes?

    Hi sonalnj,

I understand that you cannot synchronize your iPhone as iTunes is requested it must be updated. I can help you with that.

According to the technical specifications for a 6 s iPhone, you need a Mac running OS X v10.8.5 or later version with iTunes 12.3 or later. Because you are on OS X 10.6.8 your version of iTunes is up to date with this OS.

    iPhone 6 s Tech Specs
    http://www.Apple.com/iPhone-6s/specs/

Now to fix that, you need to update your Mac OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion or OS X 10.11 El Capitan. If you want to go to the Mountain Lion, you can do it with the first link below. The cost will be $19.99 and a code will be delivered to you if you can download it via the Mac App Store. Once you have upgraded, be sure to make all software updates to go with him to get the latest version of iTunes.

    OS X Lion mountain
    http://www.Apple.com/shop/product/D6377Z/A/OS-x-mountain-lion

Now the other option is to move to OS X 10.11 El Capitan, and is a free update that you can do right in the Mac App Store, if you meet the system requirements. Take a look at the following article for more details on how to do it.

Update of OS X El Capitan
