Import of Flash Catalyst Flash Builder as a Mobile project

I'm trying to create an application in Flash Catalyst CS5 and then import it into Flash Builder 4.5 to create an application mobile ios.

However, when I try to import the catalyst, it does not define as a mobile application and we finished a web application. Is there a way I can convert it into a mobile application?

Kind regards

Nico.

Which is not supported currently, you must move the files manually in the web project in the mobile project.

Thank you

    Hello

I'm building a Flex Mobile in FB project, which uses BlazeDS to access data through a project of spring and also a DONKEY file to access the contacts of the device.  I want to debug the application on a device connected with a USB cable, so to put my root files and output in the settings of the server using a UNC name, so it can be found from my device via my wifi network. I also added the native extension via the Build Path and package labels.  When I have an emulator debug office, things are OK and the extension correctly tells me that he is not taken in charge on the emulator. I guess the problem is that when the application attempts to run on my device, the extension is not find application descriptor file.  Is there anything else I need to do?

    I appreciate all help.

    Jay

Here is the solution in case anyone else runs into this problem.  Flash Builder is to create the deployment at the launch, it converts the path mapped to a local path mutilated for donkey find the descriptor to a relative path, which can not be found and get the null pointer.  Making the path to output folder actually local to the computer, as opposed to the default which creates FB, solves the error and still lets blazeds access from the device.

    Hi all

I'm new to Flash builder, using Flash Builder 4.6 to develop an android application.

She runs in office, no error occurs. But when I export it or try to run my

Phone SAMSUNG GALAXY Y S5360 it does not work. This is the version Android is 2.3.6

I plugged the USB with pc and tried to run the application on my phone.

First ask that you want to install ADOBE AIR for device I select the option 'YES' then he go for 57% and show me an error

Error occurred during the installation of the application: pkg:/data/local/tmp/Runtime.apk failure [INSTALL_FAILED_CPU_ABI_INCOMPATIBLE] s 3261 KB/s (8653085 bytes in 2.333)

And when I export and Release Build for .apk file. I select the Runtime in captivity.

  • Cannot change the manifest.xml in Builder flash builder extension 2.1

In flash builder, I installed the extension 2.1 generator to build an extension of photoshop. Database structure automatically created the manifest.xml file but I can't edit this file in the editor, and if I change outside of the flash builder does not reflect the changes.

What I want is to add an icon for my extension.

    SOLVED!

    ===========

When you create an extension extension Adobe Builder with Flash Builder 4.6 adobe project, a ".stage-extension" folder is created but do not appear in the Directory tab of Package Explorer. However, the file manifest.xml in the bin-debug folder is shown giving the impression it could be changed.

To edit the manifest.xml file, navigate to the location of your project and find: YourPorjectName > .stage-extension > CSXS > manifest.xml

Edit the manifest.xml for the changes to apply.

I have a code that has been created in a primitive version of Flex that I am trying to bring in Flash Builder 4.  The project will not build.  There seems to be a problem with some the MXML.

I am well known in ActionScript 3.0, well that is just beginning to work with Flex and Flash Builder framework, so the MXML is still not clear to me.

Glimpses of what the problem and the solution is?

You must add the local namespace in your MXML. Do the same with components

    xmlns:components = "components. " "--> xmlns:local ="com.yourpathtotheview."

  • Debug Player Flash Builder burrito

Is there a player of debugging on the release of Burrito FB? Mine has been to complain about the version of the player when I went to debug. I installed the latest version and now he isn't complaining, but I get no trace (which usually means the wrong version of the debug version).

I have to reinstall FB (B) and hope for the best, or someone can direct me to a download of stand alone?

    See you soon!

    Hello

There is a known bug with the pre-release of the trace() calls disappear when an FXG file is present in your project and creation mode.

Can you please confirm if exit design mode by activating / disabling window-> Fashion Design allow, to restart Flash Builder with a clean project brings back traces for good?

PS: It is in the release notes - http://labs.adobe.com/wiki/index.php/Flash_Builder_Burrito and this is the bug - https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FB-27654

  • Return between Flash Builder and catalyst?

It is, or will be - this, be possible to return to Flash Catalyst once a project was brought in Flash Builder?

I imported the .fxp project into Flash Builder, made some code changes, then exported a .fxp project again.  I want to be able to edit this in catalyst so I can make changes, but when I try to open the project that catalyst says that it cannot be opened because it has been published outside of the application.  Is there something that I am missing or is this all just not yet implemented?

It would be a shame not to "round trip" of catalyst on the generator.

Thanks for your time and the product sounds very exciting.

    Hi Watern,

For the first version of catalyst, we put the spotlight on the one-way workflow of the catalyst on the generator (start in catalyst, complete in Report Designer). We realize that this is a big limitation, hope to address shortly after the first exit.

There are a number of partial solutions to this problem, you can find by searching on the forum. Most of them involves the Division of labour between the catalyst and Flash Builder as cleanly as possible, which is surprisingly easy to do given the new skinning architecture. Here is an excerpt from a post I wrote and which seems to have been lost:

"If you are iterating between catalyst and Builder on a custom component, you can find that should divide the component custom off that way. I intend to write an article explaining this, but here is an overview:

    • In Report Builder, create a new subclass of the SkinnableComponent. The logic of the component put in there.

    • If you need to add logic visuals as "now pass the konfabulator 10px left", you should get konfabulator a part of the skin, using the metadata (see Scrollbar.as, in the Flex 4 SDK, for example).

    • If your component has States, declare them with metadata.

    • In the catalyst, make sure your custom component has the parts and States.

    • Then import the custom in Builder component.

    • In the MXML file for the custom component, change the tag root to . It's now a skin (not a component custom).

    • In the MXML file for the skin, add metadata [HostComponent ("com.me.MyComponent")] (see HScrollbarSkin.mxml, in the Flex 4 SDK, for example).

    • Each time that you create the instance, change the code to . Now you can create an instance of your component skinnable and assigning the skin created in catalyst.

Fact! If you make changes more catalyst, you will have to repeat steps 5 to 7 times (for now!). »

  • Import projects to Flash Builder 4.7

    Hello

We had to install 64-bit Windows for the best performance with the Flash Builder 4.7.

We had also to uninstall Flash Builder 4.7 and install again.

Now, we have about 50 projects and we do not want to import each one individually.

Is it possible to import all the projects that are in the workspace file or does really add one after the other?

    Best IMO

GoTo file > import... > General > existing projects into workspace

Under "Select root", specify the path where all projects.

All projects in this path will be imported into the workspace.

  • Flash Builder 4.5 and Tablet OS SDK Install Help!

    Hello

First of all, I note I made an honest effort to find a solution in the forum and I tried to get this to work for hours.

For some reason, the Tablet OS SDK does not appear in FlashBuilder (final) 4.5.  I did the following steps:

    1. Installed Flash Builder 4.5 (final)
    2. Installed Tablet OS SDK 1.0.2 Select YES to integrate with Flash Builder.
    3. Open Flash Builder as an administrator
    4. File - new - project Actionscrip Mobile.  Select Flex 4.5, Blackberry OS, finish.

After all this, not found Flashbuilder qnx components (for example, when typing import, the list that appears does not qnx).

I have a lot of tablet OS applications that I need to put in Flash Builder 4.5.  I've updated to 4.01.  Help, please!

    Thank you

    ~ Nick.

Include the qnx_screen.swc of the tablet os sdk in the project's build path.

    This should solve.

  • Design of GUI/Graphics in Flash Builder

In Flash Pro, you can make different screens for your app (IE menu principal, options) and separate them into different "clips". Exactly how can I do a complex GUI and store it in Flash Builder? Wouldn't be bad practice to separate each screen in its own class that extends MovieClip? Then add one to the scene and remove and add another when the screen must be turned on? Or just visibilities of swap?

visibilitys swaping is a good idea as long as it is no animation running, enter frames or timers that interact with hidden clips. and use the visibility and no alpha. alpha clips are calculated, even when they are 'invisible '.

in the sense of ease, the 'best' is to implement your structure of movieclip in flash, export it as a SWC library and import it into you project in flash builder. don't ask me how this works, I don't use flash or flash builder. just Flash develop.
