Import of images without loss of quality

I have an image which is pretty high resolution and seems fine in Photoshop CS5.  However, whenever I try to paste it into Flash CS5, it loses quality and looks terrible.  If I try first save it as a different image format and then import it into Flash, the color changes.  Can someone help me understand how to prevent this? The original image is a .tif, there is only a limited number of formats can I convert it using Photoshop. Thank you.

To resize an image in PS, resize before you save and do not use "Save for Web" to resize unless you want to decrease the quality.

In the main menu, choose "Image" and then "Image size". Set your pixel dimensions and resolution in the pop-up dialog box. Choose 'Keep the Proportions' and 'Resampling' using bicubic.

Typical screen resolution is 72 pixels per inch, while the printing resolution is 300 pixels per inch. So, if you save a 1000 x 500 px image and display it on a screen, it displays at about 13.9 x 6.9 inches but if you print this exact same image it will display at about 3.3 x 1.7 inches.

Thus resize the image before check you in, then simply record as usual, giving the file a different name from the original (if you still have a high resolution version).

Good luck!

    Simon,

    If I (put) understand, you can cheat as follows (guides are your friends, telling you when you're withoin magnetism remotely):

    (1) ClickDrag with the Rectangle tool in the opposite corners of the placed image (Smart Guides say anchor);

    (2) give the rectangle nostroke/nofill;

    (3) group the rectangle and the image;

    (4) distort the as you like.

  • Place images without loss of quality?

    So when I download a high quality image and place it on top of the image I'm working on, it seems smaller and if I resize it, it loses the definition and I'm not able to work with it.

    Any help?

    When you place an image on an existing image, it will have on the properties of the existing file.  For example, if you have a 300ppi, 16-bit, ProPhoto RGB and place on 72 dpi, 8-bit, the sRGB file, it will have on the properties of the file 72 dpi.

    I hope that makes sense.

  • How to proper resize images and videos when running without loss of quality?

    Hi guys. I need a little help here.

    I built a flash site, in which I want to resize a movie to the scene. I do it by keeping the proportion, so I just resize the width and then I resize the consequence of the height to the width of new but keeping the proportion.

    The problem is that my film looks like he "pixeled".

    I found a site on which the stage is resized dynamically with the movie and the background images without any of their loss of quality. So far, I knew that resize pictures or videos in flash for the creation or the runtime environment produces results pixeled.

    This is the site: http://kampanjeweb.apt.no/jotun/romforrom/. Can someone tell me how they do without quality loss? Just make the browser in windowed mode and resize the margins to see the effect.

    Thank you.

    Hello, Venian.

    On the video, you can try setting the smoothing of the flash.media.Video on TRUE property. This should keep a quality, but you can do nothing if the video has a bad quality. You need a great video.

    On the images, you you need to redraw the image whenever you resize. To achieve this, use a combination of Bitmap, BitmapData and Matrix classes. No doubt, just call again. Here's a simple example:

    var scale:Number = .5;
    var highQualitySourceImage:Bitmap = ...your image...;
    var scaleMatrix:Matrix = new Matrix();
         scaleMatrix.scale(scale, scale);

    var bitmapData:BitmapData = new BitmapData( scale*highQualitySourceImage.width, scale*highQualitySourceImage.height);
         bitmapData.draw(highQualitySourceImage, scaleMatrix);

    var finalBitmap:Bitmap = new Bitmap(bitmapData);

    addChild( finalBitmap );

    See you soon,.

  • Keep small size without loss of quality over far during re-registration edited JPG

    Hi all

    I have a bunch of pictures of a photographer I need to put a credit. They are all very light (~ 50 k) as they have been saved with JPG compression to only about 900 x 600px.

    My problem is that when I run the action to add the credit, the file is saved as a JPG file but the only way to achieve a similar weight is to set the compression level 2, resulting in a massive loss of quality. With a quality to 12 files increase around 200 k! Is it possible that I can keep the size of the original (or similar) file even if I am actually starting with a new image by editing? The photo credit is added on the edge, not bunk.

    Thank you

    Hi mast

    50 KB for a 900 x 600 pixels image is on the small side and suggests either a high-compression JPG or even save for Web has been used before they came for you.  200 KB is a file size reasonable for a good quality JPG of this size.  It's one of those situations "it is what it is."   Degree of activity are the images?  I'm guessing that you realize that images of high frequency with a lot of details and small blocks of different color, will not compress nearly as well as something like a little bird in a blue sky, so the specific images, you work on will of course affect the size of the file.

    You can get the original files in an uncompressed format?

    The file size is critical?  that is, this is for the use of the web, or what?

    At the present stage, there is no solution that will maintain the quality and the size of the file.

  • Full screen without loss of quality of the graphics

    Hello

    I often use 1000 * 700 pixels for my project (users must use 1024 * 768 or higher resolution in windows)

    but many times, they ask me to add full-screen function (position) and the problem is after full screen I have loss of quality in all the images and graphics that I used

    and my project to bracts dependes the monitor resolution, and it will be very ugly, especially when they have widescreen 22 inch.

    How can I avoid losing quality and force them to keep the properties compel more broadly (perhaps static background cover area)

    Thank you

    Your images should be sized for the maximum resolution that they can meet and should have the smoothing option so that they can adapt to the resolutions smller.

  • Import of images without issue, his plays but video is still framing

    I just bought me first Elements 10 because I had hundreds of GB family videos made by my JVC GR-D325E.

    I imported the to my PC with Windows utility given months ago and before I bought PE, I checked mounting possibilities with the body test version already without any problem concerning the import and use of images. So I decide to buy PE to edit home videos private.

    Now, I had two problems.

    A. when I move my camcorder to my Windows PC is able to scan, display Organizer EP there is no camcorder attached while windows can find it. When I open PE instead of PE Organizer I can find the camcorder by right click and import a film, what can happen?

    I have attached two screenshots to this question, one showing that organize will not find the camcorder, which shows that react PE differently allowing me to scan the content of the camcorder... found the two screenshots when he made the moment even without editing the connection of the camcorder.

    PE_Organize_NoCamcorderFound.JPG02_PE_CamcorderFound.JPG

    B. the other (bigger) problem is that all the imported footage usually use the dvsd codec and when I import the images (no do not based on possible problems of size) in PE via right click dialog box I can import without any problems or error message but when I want to edit, or simply to play the content of the framework of treading water and just the sound plays well. When I do a movie of her without taking notice of this behavior the result achieved the same effect of structure yet.

    WindowsImportedTest_dvdsCodec.JPG

    What is the problem and how can I fix? There should be a way that PE would otherwise useless for me.

    Please give me a hand to solve this issue in time.

    Thank you in advance.

    Yours,

    Erik

    PS: Is PE, the only way to make a movie, the option "Freigeben '? What for is the off-greyed under file export option?

    This file works perfectly in my PRE10 so there may be something else is happening with your system.

    I created a project DV PAL standard, slide the clip in the project media Panel, and from there to the timeline. PRE message wrong project implementation (because the clip is a Type 1 DV - AVI and (b) because it has a 16:9 aspect ratio display). Accept its recommendation. Try to copy this workflow and see if it makes a difference. If she does not take a glance at the following:

  • How to make shift/pushed images without lossing its function of code?

    Hello! Thank you for reading this issue.

    I'm a begginner somewhat like in the creation of a Web site.

    Currently, I am tring to make a website, a Web site that he must constantly update new pictures without deleting them (maybe later).

    Currently I have a gallery that is made using "TABLES" in dreamweaver cs3, the galleries look like (VERY SIMILAR) http://www.papayaclothing.com/shop/goods_list_v1.php?Index=newarrivals & m=

    As you can see there are 4 images defined in a 'specified square' with descriptions and related.

    But the question is... whenever I have a new image that is ready to be inserted I want to "push / SHIFT DOWN" does not remove the previous photo in the new table, without lossing his code works as in linked pages / etc.

    Will be in pictures of old and put new updated again to the old

    This process will be cordoned off constantly, whenever I have a new available photo.

    How can I do this? is their a 'special' code that allows me to do this or do I have to take it seriously "menually" 1 by 1?

    I tried Googling and could not fine the answer

    Help on this is much appreciated, thank you in advance.

    I prefer layouts CSS (resize viewport to see how it works)

    http://ALT-Web.com/templates/CSS-semi-Liq-photo-sheet.shtml

    Tables is difficult because you need to insert an extra line at the top. And if you don't have enough pictures to fill the line, it seems uneven.

    CSS allows you to insert 1, 2 or 3 new images and right beside or underneath gracefully glides.

    Hope this helps,

  • export of sequences of images without loss...

    Hello

    I have some footage of TIFFs that I want to export that video. Parameter, which is the best to make them without loss?

    Uh, making them Lossless (AVI)? Don't know what you hope to hear. There is no universal formula for perfect video. Depends on what it is to be used, what resolution is etc... The common consensus for intermediate workflows is to use formats visually lossless, which in the case of sequences of images PS as PSD, TIFF, TGA etc or Quicktime movies using the PNG animation compression or qualify better, for something else 'no loss' is just an empty word of sense, as almost all webcast formats DVD or broadcast involve compression any. In any case, if the latter is of no relevance in this case, you use the wrong tool using Photoshop. so if please specify what exactly you plan to do, and we can help you find a solution.

  • How to export to gif animated without loss of quality bitmap image

    Hello

    I'm having a devil of a time to export from a fla file, I created a backup gif banner. Seemed easy enough to select export > gif animated, but the quality of

    the small image is terrible, and the size of the file has quadrupled. Any help?

    Which doesn't look too bad considering that you create a gif file.  Do you realize that the gif images can contain only 256 colors?  You need to check the number of colors, use your images before they were converted - probably thousands and thousands.  You could try to create images like gifs first and see if that helps, although it is possible that you get an immediate loss of the quality of the image.

  • Cut a file .mov without loss of quality on the iPod touch

    Hello

    I have a new iPod touch 64 GB with many clips of film (long).

    Soon, I'll run out of space!

    How can I adjust the .mov files (which are too long) on the iPod

    without quality loss?

    Do I need a special app for this?

    Thank you.

    You should be able to do it directly from the camera without a third-party application. See http://www.betterhostreview.com/cut-videos-camera-roll-iphone.html for an example. Personally, I would backup the originals to a computer first.

  • As a general rule for video compression without loss of quality?

    I noticed on iTunes for example I can download a full movie of 1080 p that looks great, and it won't be like 3 or 4 GB, sometimes less. But I've got 15 minutes videos that are much more than that.

    I want to compress a video and then store it in my videos on my computer folder. But they are still huge and I'm still too afraid to go too low because I have no idea how saying how much it will affect quality.

    Is there a general rule? Perhaps a way to divide the size of the original file? If the initial project is say 40 GB, which is not a lot compared to Hollywood movies, I'm sure that there are thousands of GB. How to make it down to 3 or 4 GB and it look fine?

    I'm talking about the videos that I'm done, I'm not going to change again once, etc. I know how to export just in case I need to go back.

    There is only one "rule" when it comes to compression without quality loss - files will be huge.

    Now, if we change this scenario a bit to say "without significant quality loss", the situation becomes more complex.  Different people notice different things, and there are a LOT of variables that go into the encoding.  There is no simple guide for this.  My advice would be either learn about compression, or simply you don't have to worry about the size so.

    Hard drives are cheap.  Download more when you need it.

  • When I import an image it changes the quality

    Im trying to petition to stop the video but when I import either Jpeg or raw, it affects the quality and almost adds grain to it... help?

    If the image must be made larger or smaller than 20% of its original in Premiere Pro size, you may lose significant quality.

  • the modification of pdf in illustrator - check-in pdf without loss of quality

    Hello

    I have several pdf files containing photographs unmodifiable and modifiable lay-out items. Now, what I want to do is import the files in illustrator, edit the layout and save under / re-export (?) in pdf format.

    What has happened so far is photos after re-record it in pdf format became more pixelated than they were before. How can I avoid photographs deteriorate when re-record in pdf format?

    When you save as PDF, choose a preset as "High quality print" that will keep the maximum Image quality. See if this helps you overcome the pixelation of the image.
