Import of JPEG and RAW together?

I know that my shooting a Jpeg and RAW for every shot maybe not what everyone sees as intelligent, but that's how I like to do. So since I am doing this wrong from the go, I wanted to know if someone could help me understand an error message I get when I import photos into lightroom 2 with windows 7.

When I import my images in Lightroom 2 to my external hard drive, importing photos just perfect, however, after importation, I get a box with the list of photos that did not matter. The error message says "files appear to be unsupported or damaged" if I read this correctly, it seems that none of the imported RAW, just the JPEG images. Therefore, the photos that appear to have been imported were just JPEG images. I looked high and low and you can't understand what setting if all would allow me to import my photos just the way I took it. If you have the answer, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you 1 million.

I tried your test.jpg Flash CC and CS6, it imported fine in both. You said that was your original file: 11 X 8.5 "300 resolution, bit depth: 82KB. The only thing I see that is unusual, is that your file resolution is 300 ppi. Flash uses the screen resolution, and so there may be a problem with the conversion of the 300 DPI to 72 dpi with success. If you re - sample art at 72 dpi, it is important?

  • importing photos jpeg and tiff

Can I import those pictures as well as raw? My first photos were not taken in the first.

    Hi bubba,.

Well, maximum you can copy in DNG in the import of jpeg & tiff in Lightroom, but it will not change the quality to the images in raw.

    Kind regards

  • Pump data and import, BLOB, CLOB and RAW columns

    Hi all
Please can someone confirm if the issue where import from LONG, BLOB, CLOB and columns RAW via Data Pump fails has been resolved in later versions of the Oracle database server?

I believe that when you try to import a Data Pump export with tables containing these types of columns, that you get an error like:

ORA-31693: Data Table object 'OWNER '. "" TABLE "could not load/unload and being ignored because of the error:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: digital error or value: in bulk Bind: Bind truncated

    Thank you

    Leigh.

I believe that this error is only associated to long data type I have been using data pump to the table to export/import with LOB type without any problem.

Data pump had a problem with the LONG type to check this bug

Bug 5598333 - EXPDP/IMPDP corrupts the data for a LONG column
    DOC - ID: Note: 5598333.8

    It is set in 11.1.0.6

  • I have problems when I shoot in raw + jpeg. RAW files seem corrupted!

I have problems when I shoot in raw + jpeg.  It seems that the raw files get corrupted.  I shot raw without a problem.  It's only when I shoot in raw + jpeg.  Raw files will not appear in Photoshop elements.  I installed the Canon software and could see all the raw files; However, I noticed that when I tried to post some full screen they would not show.  I also noticed that these block-ish look raw files.  They appear more digital research.   Is there a specail required in RAW + jpeg map?  I formatted ones I have before their use.

Thank you all for watching my post.  I shoot with a 60 d using Photoshop Elements 10.  Finally, I called Canon tech support and found out it was the card reader that was causing problems.  When I used another card reader, I was able to transfer the Jpeg and raw files.  They advised me to connect the camara to the computer to transfer files.  I learned to use a card reader and have for years.  It was the first time, it caused me problems.

  • Import jpeg and png function is not available for the CD player

That is right. In Reader, you can only import the PDFs as the icon of a button field.

  • separating the jpg and raw files after import into lightroom 5

I would like to separate my jpg and raw files as soon as they are in lightroom (right after importation), so that all my jpg files are 1 after another on the Filmstrip below and my raw files are one after the other. is this possible?

In the grid view of the library, on the tool bar (T), replace "sort:" to "File Extension."

  • Correction of the lens and Raw or JPEG

Please bear with me, I'm sometimes a little slow.

I just loaded JPEG one friend in ACR, to see if I could fix the distortion. The image has no EXIF. The list of lenses Nikon-fit was much shorter that usual - is that because it is a JPEG, rather than a raw file?

I was surprised that the 16-85mm lens was not in the list, as I know that it has been added to the point 6.2. After hunting for PCL files, I see that there is a RAW version only, so this fits in my guess. So, my next question is: why Adobe provides two profiles with a few drinks (raw + jpeg) and the other with others?

I gave up to the cab and loaded the JPEG in CS5. In the CS5 lens Corrections, I was allowed to assign a raw profile only to my JPEG. It is good, but why am I here and not in ACR?

And a smaller, but nevertheless niggling question and maybe a little off-topic, why optical Correction CS5 is offering "NIKON" and "NIKON CORPORATION" as a brand of camera, when others have only one entry?

Yammer P, yes the list is shorter because it's a jpeg rather than crude oil, and we have several profiles for raw to jpeg.

For all of the lenses supported in the initial release of CS5, we have created profiles for both first and jpeg. Since then, we have focused on profiles of lenses based on the crus, for various reasons (which is that we feel that we always deliver the best results of quality in this way). That of why you see some lenses supported with raw & jpeg profiles, but much more taken support with raw only.

Correction of the plugin CS5 lens indeed allow you to choose the lens focused on the raw profiles even if it treats a file made (for example, jpeg, tiff). This will work in some cases many (but not all) for the distortion correction, but often is malfunctioning for chromatic aberration and vignette correction. I do not recommend this workflow and is a key reason we don't let the users/layout in ACR and LR.

  • Can I merge a JPG and RAW file into a catalog and keep your changes?

I used to shoot RAW and JPG and always used to all copy in the same folder. That worked well, but was a bit pointless as the JPG served as only a temporary preview until the RAW was loaded in behind her. For the speed of editing events, I started to divide files in two separate folders and import, but tag and basic edits, crops etc. on jpg files, so for the use of the 'News' site, then work on any higher quality customer since the FIRST requirement. Would be nice if I could later merge the two together to make these fundamental changes - and sides etc - then were applied to the RAW files. They have the same names - bar extensions, of course - be renamed by LR import. I tried on a test session, but it just seems to add separate JPG and RAW images to the catalog. Is it possible to him have associated the RAW not published with the edited JPG?

    Guy

    Guy,

I don't want to get into or the not-so-rights of your workflow.

You can try Syncomatic Plugin from John Beardythat will synchronize the metadata and possibly develop settings between different file formats with the same (or similar) base name. Subsequently you can stack the Raws with JPEG files, possibly using Auto carpet when capturing".

But remember that application development parameters of a file to a Raw JPEG may not create the desired corrections, as the base is something completely different.

  • Could not import jpg or Panasonic Raw in LR

LR refuses to import images from the card reader, it's new behavior.  On the map are images in jpg and raw Panasonic (RW2).  LR does not even see the jpg and seems to import the RAWs, but at the end said "some import operations were not performed.  The files are not recognized by the raw format support in Lightroom (78). Click below to check the latest version of the LR.

Now my creative cloud has just updated to version 5.6 LR.  The list in supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices says that my camera TZ70 is supported by version 6.0 of the LR and above.

I can copy the images, both first and jpg version on the computer easily, but can't get LR to do.

-What is the version 6.0 of LR?

-Why this update is not available for me?

-Why it won't import or view the jpg?

-How can I use my images?

    > But that still doesn't explain why LR ignores version jpg of each picture in the same folder on the same card.  Can you suggest why this is and how I can import these jpg files?

You must be sure to check the possibility of "Processing JPEG files" next to raw as photos separated in the preferences-> general.

  • AE CC import multiple JPEG files as a sequence/MOV

Hi - I just upgraded to AE CS6 CC on a 2013 MBP with OS 10.8.4

I usually import raw files for the work of time, for this sequence but I captured JPEG images.  Command-I to import window and I chose all ACCEPTABLE FILES, formats JPEG and checked the SEQUENCE.  The problem is that when I select ALL the JPEG files in the folder, the STRAIN box disappears and multiple SEQUENCES is the box...

Also the IMAGES dropdown is grayed out.

I want to import JPEG images as images but they import as individual files.

How to make JPEG images a JPEG sequence or sequences/mov?

    Thank you

Simply select an image. That's the thing.

  • Lightroom 4.1 - importer CR2 + jpeg.

I imported some CR2 + jpeg files.  These came to another computer where the JPEG metadata fields were filled with Bridge, but the CR2 is not. (this computer cannot read the CR2 a 5DMarkIII)  I don't know how... and can't find any information on how to access the jpeg.  The metadata filter displays only CR2 but thumbnails indicates that jpeg format is here. (and the finder shows them too). I can't get to them.

I don't need the jpegs themselves... but I need to transfer the metadata to the CR2s.

    Thanks for help.

    You must:

    1. go to preferences and check 'treat raw and jpeg as separate files.

    2. remove the catalog and re-import the pairs of raw + jpeg (see note).

    3. use of John Beardsworth

    Syncomatichttp://www.beardsworth.co.uk/lightroom/syncomatic/> plugin

to copy metadata from JPEG files to raws.

Note: deletion of images of the catalogue loses all the added metadata when they

    in the catalog.
