  Yes, you can buy Lightroom without subscribing to Adobe Creative Cloud.

  To purchase an upgrade to Lightroom 6 from a previous version, please see this link: products .  Scroll to lightroom and click 'buy '. Then click on the selectable text next to "I want to:" and select "upgrade". In the drop-down list, select the version that you are upgrading.  I hope that help.

• If I use "Copy as DNG" during import, I can delete the JPG LR4 copied in the destination folder?

  When I started using the LR4 I was shooting RAW + JPG on my camera.  I realized that I never use these JPG files for nothing and they are just too much room.  I thought LR4 was just import the RAW files and convert them to DNG, but when I looked in the destination folder in Windows, there are JPG files in there also.  If I have the catalogue in LR4, it shows just the DNG files and makes no mention of JPG files at all and even said after importation that "non - raw files have been imported not»

  I'm sure to go there in Windows, sort by type and then delete the jpgs?  Who will have an effect on my Lightroom Catalog?  Other discussions make mention of some of the pictures showing RAW + JPG on the thumbnail, but mine only show the DNG and don't watch no + JPG anywhere.

  I did more research for this but they all seem to apply to previous versions of lightroom or people not using not copy as DNG option.  If it is safe to delete these files jpg out, would you recommend resyncronizing folders in my catalog after you delete the jpgs?

  If you do not want the jpg files, and you are sure that they are not in Lightroom, then go ahead and delete them. Just be sure...

  There are no synchronization point folders if you don't know you have everything.

• Win LR 6.4 import/Add - cannot change the destination of the catalogue

  Using LR 6.4 and has several hard drives installed on my desktop computer.  LR (.lrcat) catalogs are on the G drive - and have always been on the G drive.  LR and Photoshop are also installed on drive G.  My photos are in the folders on the F drive.  My two catalogues are given due recognition in the preferences as being on drive G.

  When I use the import - Add command, LR allows me to choose the source, but immediately chooses the destination as "My catalog" C drive.  Although there is a small box next to the C drive, it is unusable and I can't find a way to change the destination.  If I use other commands such as copy, I am able to change the destination.  But whenever I load photos from a disc, I have for them to make a folder on the F drive and copy them from the disk to the new folder.  Then, I want to add these pictures to the catalog that is currently active.  I want to add them without moving... l

  I did a search for .lrcat and all the catalogs were on drive G, as they are supposed to be.  However, there is an entry on the C drive that is marked as a MS Word file and it is called: Lightroom assessment.docx.  A paragraph seemed more likely guilty, but I don't know if I should change it and if so, what to change:

  No matter that one of your hard drives, the catalog is on. If this catalog is one that is active, then it is one which will contain references to imported pictures. When you use the add in the import dialog box images are added to the catalogue of their current location. You cannot specify a different destination when you use this option. When you use the copy option, then you are able to specify a destination in the right column of the import dialog box. You must choose the appropriate drive and the main folder in the folder tree that appears. Then, specify the name of the subfolder in the highlighted area:

  

  You talked about change the destination of the catalog. It was a poor choice of words or you don't understand how the catalog works. The catalogue is available in one place. Normally it does not move anywhere unless you choose to do it manually. You can control the destination of your imported images, and Lightroom will import to the destination on any hard drive. But they are managed using the catalogue that remains in one place.

  I was wondering if anyone else is having a problem with import avi (my Nikon D5000 video files) in the catalogue of PSE 12.

  Windows 7 SP1 with all updates.

  The camera is a Nikon D5000

  type of file is AVI

  Whenever I go to import an AVI (my SD card or my HARD drive) Organizer comes up with the message that it has stopped working and windows is looking for a solution.

  I don't shoot much video so it is not a big concern, but it used to work in previous versions of the EP.

  Allowing page fonts is an important part of the process. I assume you reloaded the page after that.

  It is also possible to completely block the downloadable fonts. For example, on this page, most of the text uses the police to open San. To check if your Firefox download and use without open, you can right-click on the text, then choose inspect element (Q). The Inspector opens in the lower part of the tab.   It's a feature, not a bug, that you can't drag a portion of a clip to the timeline. Hold down the R button to select a part of an element to be used in the film.  Otherwise, you will always add the full clip.

  Thanks for the screen shot showing the corruption of the shared iMovie project. It is encouraging that the project plays well in iMovie, but we need to isolate what can happen here.

  Before you begin, it is always good to have up-to-date backups.

  You have tested with different resolutions.  It also happens with different Compression and quality settings?

  If it works, it can get you an export but we should always isolate why these exports did not work.

  This happens with other projects?  If this isn't the case, then there is a problem with this project specifically.

  If you do not currently have another project to test with you can create a new little project for the test.

  iMovie (2013): create a new movie

  You can use the construction in camera to create new content, fees for the test.

  If the problem is with just the initial project, you can duplicate to troubleshoot a copy.  Duplicate project by clicking on it in the Finder and choose duplicate.

  That your project contains only clips and transitions, first to see if it is a question of transition by removing the (or half of them) and to share to see if it works now.  If it works, one of the deleted transitions is the question and you can begin to add to that their return to isolate.

  If it is not yet implemented with no transition, then it can be a problem of clip. As with transitions, take half and test.

  iMovie (2013): organize your events and projects

  Continue to isolate to refine the offending clip.  Then re - import fresh clip and test.

  Hello-, I save all my pictures from LR and records to 2 back ups - each an external hard drive.

  I'll be getting a new hard drive installed in my laptop so will have to re - install LR.

  My question is: my ratings pictures, changes, cultures, folder names and important content of the catalogues will be on 2 external hard drives.

  I know that the photos are saved but wonder about the rest of the above - especially the catalogues.

  One thing you want to make sure, is that you restore your photos from your backup disk has the EXACT structure of folders of your internal drive is now all of your photos are EXACTLY in the same place when restore you them.  This is very important!

  With regard to the sides, etc. This is in your catalog (LRCAT) file.  Copy your LRCAT file to your backup drives, and then restore the LRCAT file to the original location on your new internal drive.

How can I get both on a template and then save this model so I can just pull up and start shooting prints during the event? I'm not WiFi devices yet so I intend import to Lightroom from the SD through my Macbook card and then wired to an Epson photo printer. Test prints I have the air out well with the box logo or title across the lower part, but I really need both on prints for my client. Thank you.

  Why not use watermark custom logo and him custom identity plate for the title in the LR print module? You also have the option to add the title at the bottom of the image using 'Photo Info' selection "Custom Text". After installation, you can save this as a new model. Unless I'm missing something, it should do the job.

  I tried to import of existing vm under a specific tenant and I do not quite work.

  If you only use a single catalog, you could simply marked unwanted images as rejected, then could delete or export all the others in a new catalog. In this way, you have not to create several collections, export them, import the corrected images.

  What you try to achieve sounds feasible, but make sure that when you import all exported catalogs, keep on your internal/external drive not the Nas drive.
