Import Source settings in sequence?
Is it possible to make a sequence automatically adopt all parameters (frame size, frame rate, etc) of the video source? Because I keep having to put them in manually everytime. Thanks to those who help
Welcome to the forum.
From CS5, Yes. Simply import the AV in PrPro and from the project Panel, drag it to the new icon, at the bottom of the project Panel, where it will create a new sequence to match. Nice trick, huh?
Good luck

Can you change R3D Source settings AFTER a fall in the timeline?
I take more than one editing tool that's been set up by someone else. They imported R3D images directly in the creation and dragged into the timeline without changing the settings of the source.
My problem is that I have a minute thirty-five long edit lots of images that cannot be color corrected from scratch. All this has this base of R3D top rank. I'm trying mode gamma on the set of clips already on THE TIMELINE.
Is there a possible way to do it?
Just follow the steps below, please do not use exposure on Lumetri color Panel.
First to use exposure on the Source settings instead, it works for me hope it will be useful for you

After no day no source settings more
After the last update today I can´t go into the settings of the source of my R3D footage (RED DRAGON). The source on the click Settings button right mouse is not available and on the settings of the source button menu-> clip is gray.
What can I do? I really need the parameters source to change the RAW data.
I thought I responded to this post (unless it's the 3rd in two days
source settings are available in the effects of "Master Clip", right next to the effects of Clip in the effect controls panel
Here's another message parameters of Source code is now gray for each new r3d imported clips

CS5.5 AE can't import the RAW image sequence
Hi all
I'm running a complete specification of imac late 2011, with a commercial version CS5.5.
If I try to import a sequence of images RAW (CR2) I get the following error: error After Effects: format of file Photoshop (-30504) error
I've updated AE and all other relevant software. It works when I tried it in AE CS6 (trial), it works when I convert the CR2 files to DNG files, but I just want to be able to import RAW CR2 image sequence.
Search on Google and forums for research has not helped a bit.
If anyone has any advice that would be much appreciated!
Kind regards
Matthew
You did not mention the source of your RAW files, but I'm guessing it's
a camera that was released after shipping CS5.5, then you need to update
ACR.

Import the settings in Windows Firewall
We have a Windows 7 computer that has some unique firewall settings that allow our software to measure work. This is a combination of rules about 30. So I see that it is quite easy to "Export" these rules in .csv, but how to "import" the same set of rules in our other 30 computers.
I have the .csv file in front of me who has all the settings of rules we need. Can someone tell me the steps to import these settings into the Windows Firewall?
Thank you
Antony

Save/apply the 2015 CC red Source settings
I am looking for a way to apply the same settings Redcode in CC2015 I have in CC2014. I hear there that I want to go into the Red source settings, make adjustments, save a preset and apply these settings across multiple clips I could in 2014 of CC. I see where you can do this with the color Lumetri effect, but I need to do this with my settings Redcode. I am told by Adobe technical support that this feature has been removed in 2015 from CC. This is not good. Workaround solutions?
I think that you can, same way save the preset of regular effects.
for my part, going in the effect control tab, to the main effect where the parameters of the source of your images, right click and save as a preset. Then down to the effect tab, I can ask that saved master source put back into an overall effect on the appropriate associated media
Yes, it is located in a different location, then in 2014, it is in effect and more to the master control tab

I just upgraded to the first Pro 2015. I have not tried using 2014. I load my clip of Red R3D believed in my project. Playback is fine (reading resolution 1/4), but when I right click on the clip, settings of the Source... is gray out and not selectable. In various tutorials I looked on red workflow, they all see the clip of loading, then access to the settings of the Source...
No idea why it is not accessible to me?
Hi G Barnett,
You can check the effect controls panel? The RED Source settings are there now. Updated from 2014 CC projects will always have Source RED Panel available settings.
Thank you

How to activate the option 'create the source multi-cam sequence?
I am trying to create a sequence multi-cam in an interview. I have an audio file (.wav) and two different camera angles (.mov). I point out all three and make a right click, but the option 'Create Source multi-Cam sequences' is disabled. I tried to switch to the Clip in the menu as well. No luck. How to activate it so I can create a multi-cam sequence?
If you are in the first version of CS6, disable audio and synchronize your video with in or out points, cue or clip. I assume that you are earlier version CC as I believe audio disable "create the multicam source sequence. CC versions and beyond have the ability to sync with audio, so not sure as to why your option is grayed out.

So we struggled massively with the eternal problem of the creation to have several editors working on the same project using cloned disks. To say the sharing of sequences is a nightmare is placing in slightly. We are on a feature-length documentary and our projects are massive, so we are importers of each and other sequences pray to God whenever it works without duplicating the main elements. The previous workaround solution to this if I wanted to, say, import a B training sequence on one of a sequence of drive, would be dupe of the project folder of the drive B, open it on a drive with drive B disconnected, reconnect all media in the project to their counterparts in the a drive, save the project, open a disc project and import the sequence desired my B drive project to chip away at. So many headaches that was, at least he tended to work.
Now, I've duped the player project B, and to my surprise he relinked automatically to everything on a disk without even asking. Great, good! It now seems to ignore the top-level name difference (beyond the names of Player A and B, the structure of the drive is exactly the same) and is able to connect automatically without asking from the main directory to the top. Except when you import sequences of this project automatically reconnected, he dupes now all single item in the sequence. I was pulling my hair out trying to find a way around it, as it is effectively grind our project together to stop right now. At the automatic reconnection, a feature that has been added with an unexpected consequence? Did anyone else encounter this problem and have you found a way around it?
For all he has foibles, I really think first is a great platform, but presents a caveat of insisting that the elements in a sequence reference key items in the project Panel, rather than just directly referencing the clips on the drive is prohibitive to the point of madness.
Problem solved through Creative Cow - it's as simple that importation via browser media and not through the command import. Because they are apparently the same process, not sure why we work and not the other, but I'll take it!

Import/transfer of the sequences of a project of
I want to take a sequence that I had in an old project and put it in an ongoing project, but I don't want it to be a single file made... I always want to see too bland and make changes to IT. How can I do this?
You should be able to import any just one sequence.
You use the file: import, and then select just the sequence you need.

Imported stills come in sequence
Sometimes when I import stills in my AE projects they come as a normal .jpegs or .psd. Sometimes, they come as images of sequence Photoshop that I can't use. There must be an element of preference that will allow me to overcome this type of import certificates? If not, what should I do to work around this problem. I have AE CS3. Thanks for any help.
See page "import a single image sequence or still images still ' After Effects help. Note the check box with a red circle around him in the picture on this page.

Cannot import security settings migrated
I work with the default WebLogic Server created during installation of OBIEE 11 g.
I followed the instructions to export security settings Kingdom (realm, Migration, export, directory, save). There are five files in the specified directory.
Now, I'm trying to import these settings into a new realm, and I again by following the instructions described in the Documentation BEA WebLogic Server 9.2: Management Console online help. I added the new Kingdom, he selected, click on import, specified the same directory used for import and clicked Save.
This message appears in the Messages section: "no provider were created for this Kingdom."
That's all. Nothing else. No suggestion, no help, no indication of what went wrong.
What I have (maybe) to each of the vendors to create individually before you import the .dat files? There is nothing that I see in the documentation that it would indicate.
Any thoughts?Try this option

Shooting video with my iPhone 4 (ATT version) and try to import the file into Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.3) running on Macintosh OS 10.6.6.
The problem is that I am just guessing on how to import sequences, and the result is I'm getting artifacts of movement and generally lower quality. I use iMovie 11 my basis for comparison. Not surprisingly, iMovie 11 imports since iPhone beautifully, but when I looked around, inside the properties, there is not much to see.
Go using Apple built in quicktime 'Inspector', it is possible to see this video of iPhone4 a result of properties:

Tips for the smooth search and * lossless * import/ingest footage in PPro CS5 iphone4.
You import it. that's all. First will (or should) use the file in native mode, so no need to do anything out of the ordinary.
To create a sequence for it, simply one of the clips slide the button new item at the bottom of the project Panel. a new sequence will be created that matches the sequence. Edit now...
