I want to check that database in RMAN backups completed successfully backend with a log file

All online backups are holding tapes by TSM.

Please help me in this regard.

    Hi all

    Here we have an environment with db1 (db_unique_name) 10g dataguard as primary and db2 (db_unique_name) Physics of the standby database. Also, we have configured a schema on a third computer as a database of catalog using following steps.

    The measures taken in the catalog database (appsdb):

    SQL > create tablespace rmancatlog_tbs datafile ' / u01/app/oracle/oradata/NEW/rman_catalog.dbf' size 500M autoextend extent management local segment space management auto;

    SQL > create user rman identified by oracle

    SQL > GRANT connect, resource, recovery_catalog_owner to rman;

    AMT added entries of catalog in primary and standby database. Then the primary database, we have tried to register for the catalog database. It shows that it registers. But all queries later rman throws the error. Here are the steps and the error:

    I get the above error while taking backup RMAN Level0. I am able to connect to the database of the catalogue without any problem.

    I already have this registry database command in RMAN prompt. Now I am able to see backup list but I don't know how that DB asking to sign up for today. Until yesterday, the backups were running fine btu today his application to enter the catalog DB.

    Here we manually to connect the catalogue in this way
    rman target $ /.
    RMAN > catalog connection rmanuser/password @ < globalcatalogDB >
    connected.

    After that if I give this command means...

    RMAN > backup from the list of database;
    I get the error I pasted at the earliest.

    Thanks in advance.

    If you do not have a catalog, you need not to save the database. Rely you only on the target database controlfile. If you use a catalog, you must save the target database, but only once. If you sometimes use a catalog - and sometimes not--the appropriate command is RESYNC (although in many cases RMAN automatically done).

  • create table in the remote database

    Hi friends,

    Is it possible to create a table in a remote with the syntax as database

    create table - on the remote database
    in select * from tbl - table with user defined data types.

    Thank you
    Akila Mathon.

    Remote DDL operations are not allowed.

    Create a procedure on the remote database, which will create the table using

    execute immediate 'Create table table_1 as select * from table@remote_link '

    Example
     create procedure ddl_remote(str varchar2)
     as
     begin
       execute immediate str ;
     end ;
     /

    Where remote_link is the database when you call the procedure.

    Directly GRANT EXECUTE CREATE TABLE to the user in which the procedure is created.

    Call the procedure of your current database.

    begin
       ddl_remote@DB_remote('create table emp as select * from emp@remote_link ') ;
    end ;
    /

  • Import of some tables in the Source of the ODI

    Hi all

    I am new to odi. I'm trying to use EBS as my source and the local database as my target.

    I created the new source for this instance of the EBS model.

    My requirement is How to import specific EBS tables in odi.

    When I you click on reverse engineering in source model it takes more time and application have been arrested.

    Pls help me about this.

    Thanks in advance.

    You can do a selective reverse engineering by applying a MASK on the name of the resource that you want to retrieve.

    Try starting with a lot of tables.

  • RMAN and repositories on the same database grid control

    What are the disadvantages of having the RMAN Repository and repository on the same database grid control?

    What effect does this have

    1. daily maintenance

    2. after disaster or high availability... or the recovery scenarios.

    3 is server performance with respect to the use of the CPU and memory - not desirable to have two repositories on the same database?

    Currently we have not a RMAN or a repository of GC. We intend to implement both. Angle of savings, it would be good if we can just build another data base for two repositories on an existing database server with 2 production databases. The server has enough CPU and RAM face for 1 new database, but that would mean an exaggeration to have 2 new databases.

    If it is not advisable to have two repositories on the same database, then we would need strictly two separate databases, in this case, we will need to go to a new database server host two databases, which the org seeks to avoid, as this would mean that to buy a new license.

    I tried searching a few books, but don't have no clear guidance on the same. Any opionion would really help. Thank you.

    Where this instance fails, all rman needs to restore is in the database control file. How to restore a database with rman from the command line, without a catalog. (The backup and Recovery Guide has details of how do.) This will get data back so that you can use the grid again control.

    In order to insure against a default of the machine hosting the instance, verify that the database is in log mode archive and protected with scheduled backups of hot and copy the backup files to another server.

    Other options for high availability, you have a license (Data Guard, RAC) could also be deployed for this instance, if you need more recovery options.

  • RMAN duplicate for standby the active database and the missing data files

    We have a car of 2 node ASM 11 GR 2 and 11.1 of database and a standby with ASM also. Our database is relatively low (300 GB)

    and in one recent event the day before was such a departure from the primary that we decided to "repopulate" the data using duplicate RMAN.

    I deleted the data files of the previous day and followed the Oracle documentation to duplicate a database. In the waiting

    I created a static listener and a pfile containing only the essential information (db_unique_name). I started the day before with nomount using the 'empty' pfile.

    I run RMAN, connected to the target and ancillary catalogues and run this command:

    run {
    allocate channel prmy1 type disk;
    allocate channel prmy2 type disk;
    allocate channel prmy3 type disk;
    allocate channel prmy4 type disk;
    allocate channel prmy5 type disk;
    allocate auxiliary channel stby1 type disk;
    duplicate target database for standby from active database nofilenamecheck;
    }

    RMAN duplication completed without errors, so I started the rescue database and got

    an error saying that datafile XXX is missing. I checked XXX datafile at the primary level

    and it is in a DISCONNECTED state. In the standby database the same data file is in the online state.

    So I think the problem is that during the duplication, RMAN (as documentation States) does not work

    Copy the files of data in offline mode, but the standby control file seem to think that these data files

    are online and should be present.

    Can someone please help me solve this problem? From my understanding, I could just copy the missing persons

    data files (there are many however) and in the standby go offline, but I don't think it's

    the right solution, edit this file for control of the standby? I would add another option

    in the RMAN script?

    Take the data file in offline mode on the site of the previous day.

    I don't think that two COPIES try to manage separately offline files.

  • Insertion of a table in the site database built in Muse

    Hi, I have built my site in Adobe Muse. I now need to add a new page, which should contain a data table. The table will have 11 columns and 400 lines of data that must be updated regularly. I tried with a widget called MSC Tablesmith but it does not seem to handle this amount of data. If I get my programmer to create this database for this one page will always be able to edit and modify the rest of the site in Muse? If not, is there a better widget or another way for me to do that?

    The best way to do is to update your hosting with Business Catalyst plan to include Web applications, which are basically databases that you can integrate with Muse. In this way, you can continue publishing Muse, but you connect to the BC Admin to manage the database (Web App). We are happy to help the integration, if you have any questions. Just reach out to us at www.aidbc.com.

    Thank you!

  • How do I get the name of the web page in v$ session table in the Oracle database

    We have asp.net web application hosted on IIS (windows) and the connection to the Oracle (10g) database.

    When I query the table v$ session in the database as a Jr.DBA, I don't see the name of the program as "w3wp.exe.
