Create the connection Hyperion Planning
Hello
I'm implementing a Hyperion Planning connection in the topology Manager 11.1.1.5.0.
For some reason, the button test connection is grayed out and I can't seem to access the Java tab.
I can access all the other tabs. I can also go to the Java tab in other technologies (no planning of Hyperion/Essbase).
Any help would be appreciated.
See you soonIt's fix may not be put to the test through jdbc. That reverse the planning model and which will highlight to your topology parameters hae been configured incorrectly.

Prevent ad-hoc when parsing connect to the connection of planning
Hello
We would like to prevent our users (role of Planner) to do ad hoc analysis on the cube of the application
How can we avoid this?
Our goal is to use only built web forms
Thanks for the help,
Messi
Just to be clear, you want to prevent users to connect to Ad-hoc connect Hyperion Planning correct?
Without any ad hoc role in 11.1.2.2 user shouldn't rip Hyperion Planning Ad hoc power. Disconnect you and reconnect?
Can you tell me what specific version of Hyperion Planning you're on? All patches have been applied?
Note that we do not discuss an Ad - hoc for Hyperion Essbase connection.

Hello
If you are able to connect to the server of Maxl Essbase.
1. I suggest you to take a look at the Source of data for planning application. Since it is an Active/Passive with SSL configuration URL would now
http://host: port/aps/Essbase? NOMCLUSTER = cluster_name
Note: ssl = true is removed at the end
2.
Change of the APS resolve URLS in the file essbase.cfg. Delete "https" and replace it with 'http' (Ref: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/esb_tech_ref/frameset.htm?apsresolver.html )
3. Regional service Console problem
You may need to cancel some things
a. download jnlp and change the URL, remove port 443 and https. Change it accordingly to http and the port of SST (def 19000). Save and open again.
b. in the Weblogic administration Console, you must disable "Enable the Plugin" some option like this that allow us once the SSL configuration for Regional service
Thank you

If it is an Oracle database, you connect to so be, you must enable the custom URL and change the url to server connection: port: sid to the server: port / servicename
Also you can get better Planning_WebApp.log that is located in the directory the plannning managed server logs the log information.

How RMI is used to connect to a Hyperion planning?
Hello
We want to document how RMI connects to Hyperion planning under the hood for our security team. Can you please help us understand this process or point us to a document?
Thank you
Andy
It is basically using the Protocol Java RMI that is running on a port by default 11333, if you do a search on the internet you can find more information on Java RMI, it is only really used now (11.1.2.3) by ODI to contact the planning

User of MS active directory (MSAD) could not connect to the Hyperion Planning

I am trying to configure a MSAD user and use it to connect to shared services and it can connect successfully.
but when I try to connect to a hyperion planning I got this error:

Everyone knew why this is happening or have experience the same problem?
Thanks for the help.
FeriIs it 11.1.2.0 or 11.1.2.1 you run as a SQL Server 2008 R2 is supported only with 11.1.2.1

Error message to connect to Hyperion Planning
Hello
I created WebForm1 and users A, B... (that I have grouped in the group named group1). I then gave a write access to group1 to enter data into the WebForm1.
subsequently and in order to test data by user A (belonging to group 1) entry in the WebForm1: I tried to connect to Hyperion Planning as a user (name and password); It gives me the following error message:

Please advice

Is it possible to connect Smart View 11.1.2 Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3 or 9.3.1 so we can access the Smart View to-do list?
Someone did he do success?Hi Theresia
I have just confirmed with 11.1.1.3 using 11.1.2.1 SmartView that you don't see the task of the lists. It is logical in fact that the supplier of SmartView server side must supports this feature. So to use to-do lists, you would need a 11.1.2 server at least.
Kind regards

try to connect to a hyperion planning
I'm just starting with ODI and will have some trouble, try to connect to the planning. I have looked at the documentation and still can not understand. I'll be a bit verbose in my questions, please bear with me.
1. in the Manager of topology in Hyperion planning technology, I created a data source, giving it the name: port user ID and password
When he refers to the schema tab, in the application catalog and work catalogue I give name of db of the planning application. The tab context, the only option I have is global and I put in the same name as the Application of logical schema. Is it ok or I'm doing something wrong here? Is there anything else I should do to set it?
2. After completing the previous step, I went into the designer has created a model file, and then went to insert a template. Tab definition, in name and code, I entered the same name the data source I created, I chose Hyperion Planning as technology and the logic diagram that was created in the data source. My problem is in the reverse tab. I select custom. In the context of the only option I have is global and indefinite so I chose global and for agent logic I choose Local. My problem seems to try to knowledge module. Where I expect to be able to choose RKM Hyperion Planning, all that I get to choose is < undefined >
I know I must be missing something that makes this work all, anyone got any ideas?Glen,
in your project you imported the RKM planning? You'll need to do before the RKM is available for reverse engineering to measure.
Best regards

ODI import not from columns of a Hyperion planning scheme
Hello
I tried to reverse engineer the Hyperion Planning application schema to get one of the tables. I added the data server and the physical schema, I added the model and made of reverse engineering. Reverse engineering is successful but the tables appear not in the models.
Thank you
Faizan Memon
Dear all,
The problem has been resolved. My planning application schema name was 'AS_IS. I entered the physical schema "As_Is" and test the connection, the connection was successful. Now when I tried to reverse engineering, it gave me 0 rows.
I debugged the code to extract the tables, the code has been filtering 'As_Is' owner to get tables. As a result, it was not all columns. I changed the physical schema of "AS_IS", and now it shows me the tables.
Thank you all for your answers

We use:
Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.3
ODI (installed with FDMEE)
We trace the error in the knowledge base, but apparently is a common error present in other products, but we are a little confused
If you can help us with any suggestions would be helpful!
Thank you
Ivan Lemus
Take a look at the following support doc - ' java.io.InvalidClassException: com.hyperion.planning.HspException' reported when attempting to return a genius Hyperion Planning data warehouses (ID of Doc 1378423.1).
I've seen usually the error when the username/password of planning name is either incorrect in ODI or has no administrative privileges
See you soon

Is there a problem because Installation of the ODI has been conducted by FDMEE?
Is there a constraint or it is just a configuration problem?
Is and RMI (RMI) problem?
Wouldn't be a register RMI in EPM problem?
Information on the system environment
-In the course of running on the LInux SUSE server
-By using the EPM 11.1.2.3 system
-With the help of ODI 11.1.1.7 (the ODI installation via FDMEE)
Do you want to know from your experience of something that can guide us?
Any suggestions would be very helpful!
Thank you

The port is not correct, the port must be the RMI port, which by default is 11333

Configuration of Hyperion Planning-
Installation on my laptop via VMware. Following procedures by J. Turrell. Everything is fine until I'm planning configuration. When I try to configure the SS database, I get the following message: "EMPCFG-10368: unable to connect to the database." Check the database connection information'.
Database is SQL Server 2008
Couple quick questions to start:
Version of Hyperion Planning? What OS are you installing on? The box can speak for itself (Microsoft Loopback adapter, input tables ip if some flavors of Linux). Is there a firewall in the way? Is the database that is top and listen?
Since it's SQL Server - you have enabled TCP/IP?
Some other positions:
E.M.P. 11.1.2.2 Config Error - EPMCFG-10368: unable to connect to the database.
Good luck! Let us know.
Thank you!
